In 2019, the WWE loves social media.

From Facebook to Twitter, YouTube to their very own WWE App, the company have thrust themselves into the digital revolution (also, remember Tout?).

Often, social media is a force for good for WWE, allowing Superstars to connect with their fans on a platform they never would've been able to 15 years ago.

However, social media can often be a huge problem, allowing people to say what they want to whomever, shielded by a computer screen.

Even top stars in WWE have found themselves making the wrong call on social media.

Here are five social media posts these WWE Superstars wish they could take back.

Note: Due to many of these social media posts being highly offensive, we will not be showing any of them in this feature.

#5 Josh Bredl's social blunder

A lot of you may be thinking right now: who in the heck is Josh Bredl?

Well for a time, Bredl was supposed to be the next big star in WWE after winning the 2015 edition of Tough Enough.

Signing a developmental contract with the company, things quickly went off the rails for the Superstar, after referring to the team the Social Outcasts as the Social Jobbers.

Sure, the group of Bo Dallas, Curtis Axel, Heath Slater, and Adam Rose rarely won, but Bredl's clear dig at them was seen as unprofessional by many.

Cody Rhodes and Kevin Owens even went as far as to imply that Josh wouldn't be allowed in the main roster locker-room if he ever got called up.

Ultimately, Bredl would never make it to TV, though that year's Tough Enough did give the WWE Universe a different future star: The Velveteen Dream.

#4 Zahra Schreiber

In an alternate universe, Zahra Schreiber could have possibly been a big deal in the WWE's Women's Revolution.

Signing a developmental deal with WWE, fans will now never know what could have been for her, as her social media past came back to haunt her in a big way.

As fans scrolled through her Instagram, all were shocked to see Nazi imagery, as well as racist remarks made by the NXT star, including her anger at Disney having African-American princesses.

Released from her contract almost immediately, WWE definitely wanted to distance themselves from the former Superstar.

This wasn't the only controversy for Schreiber, as not long before this, she was caught having an affair with Seth Rollins, with nude pictures of the Architect being posted on his Twitter by his rightly angry fiancee.

#3 Abraham Washington endorses at the wrong time

Abraham Washington was a ton of charisma.

After hosting his own talk-show on ECW, the founder of AW Productions would become the manager of the Prime Time Players, where everything would go down.

As Titus O'Neil wrestled Kofi Kingston during the July 30, 2012 edition of RAW, Washington made a comment about NBA star Kobe Bryant's 2003 sexual assault case, comparing the crime to O'Neil's dominance in the ring.

An instant bad move, the commentary team quickly apologized, and it looked like A.W's career was over.

With this in mind, it's possible that A.W. tried to save himself by endorsing Linda McMahon for Senate online.

This also backfired, as the negativity Washington had generated was seen as damaging to Linda's campaign.

Eleven days after his fateful moment, Washington was gone from WWE and hasn't been seen since.

#2 Randy Orton's Miss Piggy comments

Randy Orton has been in WWE for a long time and has never been a stranger to controversy.

A hot-head when he debuted, the Legend Killer has often made headlines for all the wrong reasons, though he has seemingly mellowed in recent years.

In 2014 though, Orton made headlines once again after tweeting a photo with a fan whom he described as "Latina Miss Piggy."

With The Viper's account having millions of followers, this was definitely something the WWE didn't want to be associated with.

Though the 13-time World Champion said this was revenge for the woman in question being rude to his wife, the company refused to hear it, as the Apex Predator was forced to make a public apology for his actions and took the infamous tweet off his page.

#1 Michael Cole's slur

As a commentator and broadcaster, you would think that Michael Cole would be a bit savvier when it comes to social media.

Unfortunately for the voice of Monday Night RAW, even he has messed up on Twitter, with his most egregious of errors coming at the expense of Josh Matthews.

In 2011, the former Tough Enough finalist sent out a simple tweet, but Cole responded in an awful manner, using a homophobic slur.

As the news quickly gained traction, WWE very quickly ordered Cole to delete the post, before issuing a public apology.

Though Cole was a heel at the time, embroiled in a feud with fellow announcer, Jerry Lawler, the language he used was clearly too far.

Luckily for Cole, it seems that this hasn't impacted his career, as he has become one of WWE's longest-tenured stars.
