Braun Strowman is one of the most popular WWE Superstars today, but has, unfortunately, time and again come up short in the proverbial ‘big matches’.

The Monster Among Men once again failed to capture the WWE Universal Championship, losing a hard-fought battle to reigning champion Seth Rollins.

Now although Strowman has often stated, in multiple out-of-character interviews, that he isn’t too worried about winning titles in WWE and is more than secure with his place in the company; one can’t help but notice the absence of World Championship gold on his resume.

Will Strowman finally break through the glass ceiling, and capture a World Title in the WWE? Honestly, he should!

Today, we take a special look at the potential storylines WWE has likely planned for Braun Strowman before the end of 2019…

#5 Braun Strowman could interfere in the Hell in a Cell match between Seth Rollins and Bray Wyatt

Frankly speaking, it’d be safe to say that most pro wrestling purists wouldn’t be pleased if this were to happen. But based on the WWE’s recent booking patterns, there is indeed a very real possibility that Braun Strowman could interfere in the Hell in a Cell match between Seth Rollins and The Fiend, Bray Wyatt.

After all, Wyatt’s character is at its best right now, and putting the Universal Title on The Fiend would surely be a smart booking decision. However, Vince McMahon, Paul Heyman as well as the other creative folks in the WWE, have often resorted to the strategy of serving the audience with something completely different than what's expected.

As I’d noted earlier, Strowman failed to beat Rollins in their Universal Title match at the Clash of Champions PPV (September 15th, 2019), and given The Monster Among Men’s history with former Wyatt Family brethren Bray Wyatt, an outside interference courtesy Strowman could be on the cards at Hell in a Cell (October 6th, 2019).

It’s essential to note that in this case, I’m addressing the possibility of Strowman attacking Wyatt – preventing the latter from winning the Universal Title – leading to a rivalry between The Monster Among Men and The Fiend…

#4 Braun Strowman could attack Seth Rollins and align himself with Bray Wyatt

"The Fiend" and "The Monster" could align themselves with one another, and rule WWE RAW with an iron fist

Much like the previous storyline trajectory, this one too may not sit well with the professional wrestling purists, but could actually pique the interest of the casual wrestling fans. The Wyatt Family is widely regarded as one of the most popular and successful stables of this era, speaking of which, Erick Rowan and Luke Harper – two former members of the dreaded group – have now once again reunited as a team on SmackDown Live.

On the other hand, Braun Strowman, who performs mainly on the RAW brand, could attack Seth Rollins in the latter’s Universal Title match against Bray Wyatt. Strowman could help Wyatt beat Rollins in their Hell in a Cell match at the PPV of the same name.

Certain sections of the professional wrestling community, the aforementioned pro wrestling purists in particular, won’t like Rollins losing his Universal Title owing to Outside Interference from Strowman, and would instead prefer to see Wyatt beat Rollins clean.

Nevertheless, the bright side of this scenario is that Wyatt gains the Universal Title and retains the momentum his character currently possesses, but owing to Strowman’s Outside Interference, Rollins too is protected despite losing his title!

Let’s face it, after investing so much TV time and momentum-building in Rollins’ character, the WWE wouldn’t really let his character lose clean to anyone at this stage. Speaking of which…

#3 Braun Strowman could be diverted into a short-term storyline for Crown Jewel

Alright, before y’all get out the pitchforks, I’d like to assure everybody that there’s a high probability of WWE ensuring that Braun Strowman will be involved in the Universal Title picture in the weeks to come. But here’s where it gets tricky!

The WWE returns to Riyadh, Saudi Arabia for the Crown Jewel event on October 31st, and considering how popular the traditional “big man” WWE Superstars are in Saudi Arabia, we can expect Strowman to be involved in a gimmick match or multi-person matchup wherein he’ll destroy everyone in his path.

I’d like to hark back to Strowman’s recent appearance on Monday Night RAW, which saw him attack several performers of the tag team division.

This doesn’t necessarily mean that Strowman will once again pursue tag team gold over the next few weeks, but one thing’s for sure – We shouldn’t really be surprised if Strowman is booked in a gimmick matchup, a Battle Royal or even a tag team match with an enhancement talent as his partner, at the Crown Jewel event.

Strowman’s role in the Universal Title feud between Seth Rollins and Bray Wyatt would have to take a backseat at Crown Jewel, since The Monster Among Men will largely be on gimmick match duty (and toppling another ambulance or something of the sort!) at the event in Saudi Arabia…

#2 Braun Strowman could finally capture the WWE Universal Championship at Survivor Series 2019

This year’s edition of WWE Survivor Series will take place on November 24th, and although Braun Strowman usually plays an important role in the traditional 5-on-5 Survivor Series matchup every year, The Monster Among Men could be in for a very different experience at the event this time around.

I’d like to draw your attention to the fact that out of the WWE’s annual Big 4 PPVs – Royal Rumble, WrestleMania, SummerSlam, and Survivor Series – the only event that is yet to transpire this year, is the fourthh one. Now I know that I’m being Captain Obvious here, but bear with me.

Let’s assume that the WWE chooses to keep Strowman away from the Universal Title feud between Seth Rollins and Bray Wyatt, at Hell in a Cell and even through Crown Jewel.

In the weeks that follow the latter event, Strowman could attack either Rollins or Wyatt (depending on which one of the latter duo holds the Universal Championship at the time), leading to a match between The Monster AMong Men and the champion at Survivor Series.

Survivor Series, being one of the WWE’s aforementioned Big 4 events, would be the perfect occasion to finally have Strowman get his hands (no pun intended) on a World Title. Strowman is presently 36 years of age, and if the promotion doesn’t pull the trigger with him now, it could potentially hurt his character’s career trajectory in the long run…Speaking of which…

#1 Braun Strowman vs. Bray Wyatt vs. Seth Rollins in a TLC Match would be the perfect PPV match to close out 2019

The WWE’s final PPV of the 2019 calendar year is TLC: Tables, Ladders & Chairs which takes place on December 15th.

Now although the event will be followed by a few weeks of RAW and SmackDown episodes as well as live events; the WWE will surely be looking at the TLC PPV as an important show as regards closing out the year's pay-per-view schedule on a high note.

Should WWE choose to put the Universal Title on Braun Strowman at Survivor Series in November, his first title defense could take place in a Triple Threat Match against The Fiend and Seth Rollins at the TLC PPV in a Tables, Ladders & Chairs Match nonetheless!

Bear in mind that Strowman has previously won the Men’s Money in the Bank ladder match, and is no stranger to the carnage which can be caused by foreign objects such as tables, ladders and chairs being legalized for the Superstars to use in a matchup.

Strowman retaining his Universal Title, in a high-octane TLC matchup against Rollins and Wyatt, would serve to further accentuate the rise of The Monster Among Men as a bona fide megastar and future WWE Hall of Famer.

For the WWE as a company as well as for Strowman as an individual performer, him winning World Title gold so as to legitimize his character as a top-tier entity on the roster, is indisputably paramount.
