Confronting The Boss, Vince McMahon? That's not something that happens everyday!

Over the years, storylines have become one of the most important aspects in the world of professional wrestling, if not the most important. WWE, in general, has been known for its great storylines and over the years, we've witnessed some of our favorite wrestlers being part of some of the best and exciting stories of all time.

The Superstars who are generally the focal point of a major storyline tend to get pushed into stardom by the WWE Creative Team. Some of the primary examples of that being the likes of Daniel Bryan, Seth Rollins, and the recent rise of Becky Lynch, as well.

However, that always hasn't been the case for every superstar. A superstar(s) might be the favorite within the WWE Universe but hasn't always been in the good books of the creative team. Cesaro, for example, has been a long-overdue of a World Title run in WWE and remains as one of the biggest fan-favorites in the company.

Occasionally though, several notable Superstars decided to confront WWE Chairman, Vince McMahon in order to receive a push and have pitched several ideas to the company's creative. Whereas, on a few occasions, veterans of the company have also vouched for a push for other superstars and confronted Vince McMahon, as well.

In this article, I've listed 5 WWE Superstars who have confronted Vince McMahon for a push. Without any further ado, let's get straight to it.

#5 Randy Orton vouches for The Revival

In the aftermath of SummerSlam 2019, The Revival started appearing on the blue brand of SmackDown Live, and the duo of Scott Dawson & Dash Wilder almost immediately aligned themselves with Randy Orton. Together the trio was known as FTRKO.

For their initial feud, The Revival and Orton teamed up against The New Day and at the following Clash of Champions pay-per-view, Dawson & Wilder even won the SmackDown Tag Team Championships from Big E and Xavier Woods. In doing so, The Revival became the first-ever WWE Tag Team Triple Crown Champions, having previously won the RAW and NXT Tag Team Titles.

However, as part of the draft, Orton was sent to Monday Night RAW and that pretty much marked the beginning of the end for The Revival, as well. They ended up losing the SmackDown Tag Titles back to The New Day, ending their reign at 54 days.

As it turned out, Orton had pitched the idea of him continuing his alliance with The Revival but Chairman Vince McMahon rejected the idea of it. 'The Viper' himself had vouched for a faction between him, Scott Dawson, and Dash Wilder and considering that Vince McMahon had approved the idea, then things might've been a lot different for the duo now known as FTR.

#4 Jack Swagger brought up MMA with Vince McMahon

Jack Swagger has been making quite the moves ever since he signed with All Elite Wrestling. A former Bellator fighter, Swagger is currently part of Chris Jericho's Inner Circle faction, acting as the powerhouse of the group and Jericho's bodyguard, as well.

During his time with WWE though, Swagger had won the WWE World Heavyweight Championship and had a decent enough run in the company. However, things probably would've been a whole lot better if WWE had implemented the creative idea that Swagger had pitched.

During an interview with Edge and Christian on their E&C’s Pod Of Awesomeness, Jake Hager had revealed that he pitched an idea of him leaving and competing in a professional MMA fight, and then eventually make his return to WWE.

“I knew I was gonna do MMA. Before I left, Vince caught me in the hallway and he told me that they were wasting me. I said, ‘Man, that’s awesome to hear. Thank you for saying that. I’ll be in your office next week with ideas. I pitched to him an idea about leaving and having to go fight MMA, and then come back, but have a little controversy between us or something. He didn’t really want to do anything about it.”- Swagger said on the E&C Pod Of Awesomeness.

Those plans, as we know, never took off in the first place and Swagger was eventually let-go by WWE to pursue a career in Mixed Martial Arts.

#3 Daniel Bryan asked Vince McMahon to work with Heath Slater and Drew Gulak

Prior to his release from WWE, Heath Slater did get a short but formidable run on SmackDown, along with former WWE Champion, Daniel Bryan. Over the past few months or so, Bryan has formed quite the alliance with Drew Gulak and all of it happened after the latter was promoted to the main roster but wasn't being used to his full potential. As it turned out, it was Bryan of all people who vouched to work alongside Drew Gulak and told Vince McMahon involve him as part of his own storylines, as well.

The former WWE Champion reportedly suggested that WWE involve the two mid-card superstars in major storylines on SmackDown, and while things have perfectly worked out for Gulak, Slater, unfortunately, was axed by the company.

Nevertheless, seeing Daniel Bryan step up to the higher-ups in WWE and Vince McMahon in order to vouch for two of underrated mid-card stars was definitely a heartening story and Gulak, especially, has benefited a lot, courtesy of Daniel Bryan.

#2 Jon Moxley had many meetings with Vince McMahon about his career

Now, Jon Moxley didn't exactly ask for a push from WWE but he did confront Vince McMahon for major changes, prior to his exit from the company. Jon Moxley's final run in WWE was truly a forgettable one and fans of Dean Ambrose certainly didn't hope to see the former WWE Champion leave on a bad note.

On the night of Roman Reigns' real-life leukemia announcement, Dean Ambrose and Seth Rollins won the WWE RAW Tag Team Championships, in what initially felt like one of the best feel-good moments in WWE history. However, shortly after their title win, Ambrose pulled-off the unthinkable and turned his back of Seth Rollins, betraying The Shield, and finally turning heel.

The storyline pretty much presented itself, as Ambrose found himself in the central point of instant heel heat and all WWE had to do was capitalize on the momentum. Instead, Ambrose was sent out wearing gas masks, took antidote shots on live TV, and pretty much became an enhancement talent on his way out.

In the aftermath of his departure, Moxley sat down for an interview with Chris Jericho on his Talk Is Jericho podcast and revealed that he had several confrontations with Vince McMahon where he would ask the WWE Chairman to make changes to his on-going storyline, however, the changes were never made and Ambrose eventually found himself on his way out of WWE.

Now, to many fans, it might've seemed that Ambrose was in a top position in the company, feuding with the likes of Seth Rollins but in reality, the storyline that he was presented with didn't go down too well with the WWE Universe.

#1 Brodie Lee pitched multiple ideas to Vince McMahon

For almost weeks and weeks, All Elite Wrestling teased the debut of Dark Order's Exalted One and while fans around the world were pretty much sure that it would be Matt Hardy, AEW gave us a twist and revealed former WWE Superstar Luke Harper AKA Brodie Lee as The Exalted One.

Since signing with AEW, Lee has once again found his rhythm back and was even pushed as a top contender, challenging Jon Moxley for the AEW Title, within the first few months after his debut. Lee wasn't able to win the World Title off Moxley but did put up one of the best matches of 2020 along with his former WWE colleague. Lee, however, did reveal on Chris Jericho's Talk Is Jericho podcast that he had several confrontations with Vince McMahon and pitched several creative ideas to the WWE Chairman in order to make changes to his Luke Harper character.

However, Vince McMahon didn't buy any of those ideas and Harper eventually found himself out of the company by 2019 after competing in his last televised match at the Crown Jewel pay-per-view.
