5 Surprises that could happen on WWE RAW - Champion vs. Champion feud, Heel turn

WWE has to try and build excitement for this show
WWE has to try and build excitement for this show

A lot of people felt that RAW was the better show as compared to SmackDown last week, especially with the emphasis on building new stars. Seth Rollins vs. Humberto Carillo, in particular, is a match that was lauded because of just how different and how fantastic it was in every sense.

So how does WWE continue the momentum of RAW from last week to make this week a must-watch show? One way to achieve the same would be to fill it to the brim with surprises and make it a show that gets some buzz going.

In any case, here are 5 surprises that could potentially happen on this week's show, served hot and fresh to you. Please leave a comment and let us know if you thought RAW or SmackDown was a better show last week.

In any case, here are 5 rabbits Paul Heyman can pull out of his hat this week...

#5 Asuka turns heel, hits Lynch with green mist

We know that WWE has been teasing a feud between Asuka, the WWE Women's Tag Team Champion and Becky Lynch, who is the current reigning and defending RAW Women's Champion. This feud really took off when Asuka hit the green mist on the face of the Irish Lass Kicker not long ago.

For the feud to happen, Asuka will probably have to turn heel which may not necessarily be a bad thing at all, because there's only so much she can do as a babyface. Much like Shinsuke Nakamura, maybe a heel turn will be a great reboot for her character and will allow Paige to return as a heel character.

Imagine Paige and Becky Lynch trading insults in the middle of a WWE ring. You know you want to see it happen, dear reader!

#4 The Fiend comes to the aid of a former Wyatt Family member

It is very hard to build a feud with two men who are on two separate brands, isn't it? So while Bray Wyatt talks to puppets who die and miraculously come back to life on SmackDown and Rollins takes on the likes of Humberto Carillo on RAW, there's a major problem with their big match in Saudi Arabia. The fact that these two men haven't interacted since the Firefly Fun House burned down has killed the interest of many a fan in their upcoming match.

I am a strong advocate of people staying on their brands especially so soon after the most recent draft. But then again, the match has been set up in such a manner with a special stipulation that it is almost asking for Bray Wyatt to interfere and come to the aid of his former Wyatt Family member in Erick Rowan. Maybe in many ways, the puppets are a symbolic representation of people whose strings Bray Wyatt still pulls.

Of course, Erick Rowan's reaction to Bray Wyatt will be very interesting to see as well especially after he claimed that he was nobody's puppet, not long ago.

#3 The AoP actually wrestles in their new avatars

We all know that The AoP is looking cooler than ever before in their Breaking Bad/Better Call Saul inspired avatars, where they basically look like two hired thugs. It is a welcome departure from the time when they were allied with Drake Maverick and his big gimmick was urinating in his pants.

But then again, there's only so much that you can take of backstage vignettes before they begin to get tiresome and cumbersome, in my opinion at least. Even if they were to only take on enhancement talent, it would make sense for the AoP to make their debut on RAW.

You don't want to end up in a situation like Emmalina where the fact that you're only showing up in vignettes and not appearing on-screen becomes the basis of a running joke with fans. I would go so far as to say that Tenille Dashwood, who had a promising career in WWE before she was asked to perform the gimmick, never regained the momentum that she once had because Emmalina began to be seen as little more than a joke.

Akam and Rezar need to go out and wrestle soon!

#2 Liv Morgan returns with a new look

It's almost like the Superstar Shake-up happened for no reason at all, especially if you consider the fact that The Riott Squad was split up earlier this year. Liv Morgan went to SmackDown Live, where she did almost nothing at all, and is now back on RAW, where she will seemingly reveal her brand new persona. However, there has been no sign of her since the draft, even though fans have been asking for her continuously.

Not long ago, it was revealed that Liv Morgan is done with the pink in her hair. She will go back to being a blonde, even though it is not clear what her new character will be and if indeed she will go back to being the same character that she was back in her NXT days. It is also not clear if she will return as a singles star or if she will be brought back to bolster the tag team division.

Whatever the case may be, it may be wise for WWE to bring Liv Morgan back into the mix sooner rather than later because of the online backlash WWE received for not showcasing any female stars on last week's show.

#1 The OC jump Kevin Owens

If you ask me to name who I think is going to win the Battle Royal at Crown Jewel, I would have to say that my top pick would be Kevin Owens. Based on how the events of RAW played out last week, the fact that Kevin Owens was the man in the Street Profits' corner to take on The OC was a big indication that he would be the next man in the US title hunt.

There's no better way to build excitement for a clash between the two men than to have The OC blindside Kevin Owens and take him out ahead of Crown Jewel. If this were to happen, people in the audience will be rooting for Kevin Owens to win and establish himself as the next man in line for the title.

Owens has been on a surge of momentum lately especially after a feud with Shane McMahon where he sent his boss packing out of WWE. Some may argue that the feud went on for far too long, but none can dispute that it made Kevin Owens look like a megastar in every sense.

It's his time to dominate Monday nights now!
