The Royal Rumble is an event which never fails to amaze us. It's filled with more surprises that any other event could offer, even WrestleMania, but as witnessed this time we barely saw any surprises happening at the event other than Nakamura winning the United States Championship for the second time in his career after defeating Rusev.

Follow Sportskeeda for the latest WWE news, rumors, and all other wrestling news.

That being said, as now the Royal Rumble is in the past, WWE will now build momentum towards its next PPV, Elimination Chamber.

Therefore, as we're now officially on the road to WrestleMania let's see what surprises might take place next month in WWE.

#5 Andrade Cien Almas, Rey Mysterio, and Sin Cara form a stable

Not quite sure how WWE will be able to put these three men together as a team
Not quite sure how WWE will be able to put these three men together as a team

Andrade Cien Almas and Rey Mysterio are already involved in a feud for a few weeks now. Their feud is going well as the two men faced off each other in a two out of three falls match this last week.

While speaking of Sin Cara, he has been out of action for several months now, but according to a report the Luchador is cleared to return.

As per the latest report, WWE is considering forming a new stable on SmackDown Live soon. The stable could see the likes of Almas, Mysterio and Sin Cara building a stable on the blue brand as early as next month.

That being said, we are not sure how WWE will be able to put these three men together as a team, since two of them are currently involved in a quarrel.

The possible scenario that could lead Almas and Mysterio forming a team is that they could end their program with Almas turning face. This way WWE could further figure out a way to add Sin Cara into the equation.

#4 Finn Balor becomes the new Intercontinental Champion

we can expect him to start a program with Bobby Lashley for the Intercontinental Championship as early as the first week of next month
we can expect him to start a program with Bobby Lashley for the Intercontinental Championship as early as the first week of next month

At this year's Royal Rumble, Finn Balor came so close to becoming a two-time Universal Champion, but unfortunately, Brock Lesnar conquered another challenger and turned him into one of his victims.

Though Balor didn't win the title last Sunday, that doesn't mean his good days are over, as I think he's already in a line for a push. Therefore, we can expect him to defeat Bobby Lashley for the Intercontinental Championship at the Elimination Chamber PPV.

That being said, as Lashley currently don't have any challenger for his title, therefore, involving The Almighty Bobby Lashley in a feud with Finn Balor will be a great decision, as WWE has already teased a feud between the two on this week's Raw.

Therefore, if everything goes right then, we can see Balor capturing the Intercontinental Championship for the first time in his career.

#3 Sasha Banks and Bayley becoming the inaugural Women's Tag Team Champions

I think after winning the titles next month, they will possibly go to WrestleMania 35 still as champions
I think after winning the titles next month, they will possibly go to WrestleMania 35 still as champions

This past Sunday, Sasha Banks was scheduled to take on the Raw Women's Champion Ronda Rousey in a championship match, but as witnessed, that didn't go well for Banks as she came short of winning the title.

Also, WWE has already made the announcement of the Elimination Chamber match that will take place next month to crown the inaugural Women's Tag Team Champions.

Therefore, I think, it'll be the team of Sasha Banks and Bayley who will successfully claim the title among the six teams from Raw and SmackDown Live that will be the part of the match.

Also, I think after winning the titles next month, they might go to WrestleMania 35 and will defend the titles against the legendary duo of Lita and Trish Stratus.

That being said, let's wait and see what goes down this next week as WWE will now purely focus on building the storylines for their upcoming PPV, Elimination Chamber.

#2 Charlotte defeats Becky Lynch and books her place at WM 35

Next month we might see Charlotte complaining how Becky was never the part of the match
Next month we might see Charlotte complaining how Becky was never the part of the match

At this year’s Royal Rumble PPV, the two finalists in the Women’s Royal Rumble match were Charlotte Flair and Becky Lynch.

Though initially Lynch wasn’t the part of the match, because of Lana getting injured in the starting of the PPV, Lynch stepped up and took Lana’s spot in the match.

With Becky winning the second annual Women’s Royal Rumble match, many fans are now looking forward to seeing a singles match between Lynch and Ronda Rousey at WrestleMania 35, as Rousey is reported to take a hiatus following WM 35, and it’s likely that WWE will change this singles match into a triple threat match by adding Charlotte into the equation.

Therefore, next month we might see Charlotte complaining that if it weren’t for Becky, then she would go into WrestleMania 35, as Becky was never the part of the match. After that, we could see a match between Charlotte and Becky, where if Charlotte wins, she’ll be added to the women’s championship match.

That being said, you can expect this match as mentioned earlier to take place at WWE’s next PPV, Elimination Chamber.

#1 Samoa Joe wins the Elimination Chamber to become the new WWE Champion

if Joe wins the Elimination Chamber next month then I think there's no better opponent for Bryan
if Joe wins the Elimination Chamber next month then I think there's no better opponent for Bryan

At this year's Royal Rumble, Samoa Joe came so close to winning the Men's Royal Rumble match, but thanks to his current rival, Mustafa Ali, he was eliminated from the match after putting up a great performance.

Moreover, as Seth Rollins from the Raw brand has already won the Royal Rumble match, this year's Men's Elimination Chamber match will feature the superstars from the blue brand, as announced already.

Therefore, I think Samoa Joe will be one of the six men who will enter the Elimination Chamber, but will be the only one who will leave it with Daniel Bryan's WWE Championship.

That being said, if Joe wins the Elimination Chamber next month, then I think he might defend his title against Bryan in a rematch at the grandest stage of them all, WrestleMania.
