Here's what could go down at WWE Survivor Series this Sunday

Survivor Series will be coming our way this Sunday and as usual, Superstars from RAW and SmackDown will collide for brand supremacy, but this year, NXT will be also be included in the fold, for the first time ever.

Three of the company's biggest prizes will on the line at the event, including the NXT Championship. This year's Survivor Series is one of the most highly anticipated events under the PPV's chronology. It will also be a very star-studded show, as all of WWE's top stars will come out to play.

That said, here are five things that could happen at WWE Survivor Series this Sunday.

#5 The crowning of new champions

This year's Survivor Series PPV will feature three singles matches each for the WWE, Universal and NXT Championship. Rey Mysterio will challenge Brock Lesnar for the WWE Championship in a No Holds Barred match, 'The Fiend' Bray Wyatt will defend his Universal Title against Daniel Bryan and Adam Cole will put his NXT Championship on the line against the NXT TakeOver: WarGames triple threat winner.

Out of these three title matches, we could see a title change or two. Since Mysterio will face Lesnar in a No Holds Barred match, he could easily gain the advantage by using the steel pipe he attacked The Beast with on RAW or perhaps Cain Velasquez could return and take out Brock Lesnar.

Rey has held the WWE Title before, and his reign was very short, so there's a possibility he could win it again and perhaps this time he will have a better run as WWE Champion. With all these three title matches set to place at Survivor Series, it'll be a bit disappointing if we don't see at least one title changing hands.

#4 Surprise returns

At Crown Jewel (which was an enjoyable show), two former UFC Heavyweight Champions clashed for WWE's top prize. The Beast Brock Lesnar defeated his old rival Cain Velasquez to retain his WWE Title, and Velasquez hasn't been seen in WWE ever since.

He is still somehow involved in this whole Mysterio-Lesnar feud and is still a part of the company, so there's a chance he could return on Sunday for some unfinished business.

Survivor Series could also see the return of other Superstars such as Elias and Sheamus. In this battle for brand supremacy, anything can happen. This will also help WWE to further storylines or create new ones.

#3 SmackDown becomes the supreme brand

Superstars from SmackDown will clash with Superstars from RAW and NXT for bragging rights. Last year, RAW won brand supremacy, clean sweeping the Blue brand in all inter-brand matches on the main card. This year, however, things could be different.

SmackDown replaced RAW as WWE's flagship show after moving to FOX, so that makes their chances of winning bigger. Team SmackDown will also feature big names such as Roman Reigns, Braun Strowman, King Corbin and Sasha Banks.

They have what it takes to become the supreme brand.

#2 Betrayals

Could we witness a few twists at the show?

Even though Superstars from each brand will unite to take on those from the other two brands, it doesn't mean that they will remain on the same page or there won't be any internal conflict. For example, Roman Reigns and King Corbin, two Superstars who don't get along, will be on the same team.

Corbin is the only heel on Team SmackDown, and he has/had issues with all of his teammates. He could possibly turn on them by attacking Roman Reigns after getting eliminated or he could get Reigns eliminated instead, furthering their feud in the process. Corbin doesn't care if his team wins or not.

The only thing he cares about at the moment is taking care of Roman Reigns. The same could happen on Team RAW. Randy Orton teamed up with Ricochet on RAW this week to take on the Viking Raiders for the RAW Tag Team Championships. Perhaps Orton joined forces with Ricochet so that he could get the latter to trust him.

Orton is just waiting for the perfect time to strike. In the end, he is still a viper, and that's what vipers do. As Jake 'The Snake' Roberts once said, never trust a snake. Orton could RKO Ricochet 'outta nowhere' once again, revealing his true colors. He has turned on so many people in the past, and he could so again this Sunday.

#1 Dominik returns to assist Rey Mysterio against Brock Lesnar

Brock Lesnar attacked Rey Mysterio and his son Dominik on the season premiere of RAW, and since then, Mysterio has not backed down from The Beast. The former US Champion accompanied a debuting Cain Velasquez on SmackDown's premiere on FOX to take on Lesnar, but the latter managed to overcome Velasquez at Crown Jewel.

At Survivor Series, Mysterio and Lesnar will clash for the WWE Championship in a No Holds Barred match. The stipulation could favor Mysterio, as Dominik could make a surprising return at the event to assist him, and since this is a No DQ match, Mysterio won't be disqualified.
