Roman Reigns and John Cena are two of the biggest superstars in WWE today. The two men are set to collide in one of the most-anticipated rematches in WWE history at the upcoming SummerSlam 2021 event.

Roman Reigns made his way to the main roster in late 2012, and WWE immediately pushed him as a force to be reckoned with. He went on to headline four WrestleMania events in a row, and he is currently the biggest heel in all of WWE.

As for John Cena, the former WWE Champion is a seasoned veteran and is still incredibly popular among the WWE Universe. He is on a quest to dethrone The Tribal Chief at The Biggest Party of the Summer and win his record-breaking 17th world championship in WWE.

As we head towards SummerSlam 2021, we will take a look at five things Roman Reigns has done during his WWE career that John Cena hasn't.

#5 Roman Reigns has held the Intercontinental title

Roman Reigns has been the main event guy for the better part of his WWE career, but The Tribal Chief has also held his fair share of mid-card belts. Back in late 2017, Roman Reigns kicked off a feud with The Miz, who was the Intercontinental Champion at the time.

Reigns took on The Miz for the prestigious belt on the November 20, 2017 edition of WWE RAW and ended up defeating him for the gold. This victory kicked off his first and only Intercontinental Championship reign.

He went on to defend the belt against several big names over the next few weeks. Reigns finally lost the Intercontinental title to The Miz on the 25th Anniversary episode of WWE RAW on January 22, 2018.

John Cena spent his early years as a SmackDown-exclusive star, and the Intercontinental title was on RAW at the time. By the time he switched over to the red brand, Cena had become a megastar, and WWE wasn't willing to put him anywhere below the upper-card. Cena wrestled WWE's top stars, and he was a main event attraction for years on end.

He later won the United States title at WrestleMania 31 by defeating Miro, and Cena defended the title against a bunch of talented wrestlers on a weekly basis. It's safe to say that Cena fans will never get to see him hold the Intercontinental title. At this stage in his career, it's hard to fathom that WWE would put Cena in a mid-card feud.

#4 Roman Reigns is a sole survivor at Survivor Series

Roman Reigns made his main roster debut as a part of The Shield at Survivor Seris 2012. The trio interfered in the WWE Championship match and helped CM Punk retain his title that night. Roman Reigns would go on to make history at the mega event in the coming years. A year later, The Shield teamed up with Cesaro and Jack Swagger to take on Rey Mysterio, The Usos, Cody Rhodes, and Goldust in a traditional Survivor Series Elimination match.

Reigns eliminated four opponents and won the match as the sole survivor for his team. Six years later, all three major WWE brands faced off in a Triple Threat 5-on-5-on-5 Survivor Series Elimination match. Reigns was the caption for Team SmackDown, and he pinned NXT's Keith Lee in the end to secure a win for the blue brand.

John Cena has several accomplishments in his bag when it comes to Survivor Series, including world title wins against the likes of Kurt Angle and Chris Jericho. He has also competed in several 5-on-5 elimination style matches, but he has never been the sole survivor.

#3 Roman Reigns has headlined four consecutive WrestleManias

Roman Reigns was pushed to the moon immediately after the implosion of The Shield in mid-2014. He took on WWE veteran Randy Orton at SummerSlam 2014 and defeated him in the biggest victory of his career at the time. On the same night, Brock Lesnar mauled John Cena to win the WWE World Heavyweight Championship, and fans knew that a major clash was on the horizon.

At WrestleMania 31 in 2015, Roman Reigns and Brock Lesnar squared off for the title in the main event. Seth Rollins' unexpected cash-in at the last moment foiled Reigns' plan to leave the stadium with his hand held high. A year later, Roman Reigns defeated Triple H in the main event of WrestleMania 32 to win the WWE World Heavyweight Championship.

In 2017, Roman Reigns defeated The Undertaker at WrestleMania and became the second man to ever do so. He would go on to face Brock Lesnar for the Universal Championship in the main event of WrestleMania 34 in 2018 in a losing effort. Reigns then faced Drew McIntyre at WrestleMania 35, so his four-year WrestleMania headlining streak came to an end.

John Cena has headlined several WrestleManias as well, but when it comes to consecutive events, Cena comes one short of The Tribal Chief. Cena faced The Miz at WrestleMania 27 in 2011 and failed to capture the WWE title, due to some interference by The Rock. Cena then faced The Rock twice in a row over the next two years at WrestleMania, with the megastars trading wins over each other.

#2 Roman Reigns has held the Universal Championship

Roman Reigns had become a big name in WWE by the time the Universal Championship was introduced in 2016. He spent a long time trying to capture the belt, and he finally won his first Universal Championship at SummerSlam 2018 by defeating his arch-rival, Brock Lesnar.

Roman Reigns later vacated the title because he had to take time off from WWE TV due to his battle with leukemia. Reigns made a big return on the road to WrestleMania 35. This time around though, WWE played it smart and kept him away from the main event scene for a long time.

In 2020, Reigns took time off again and didn't appear on TV for several months. He made his buzzworthy return at SummerSlam and turned heel in the process. Reigns won the Universal Championship at WWE Payback 2020, and he has held the belt ever since. No one has managed to defeat him for the belt yet.

John Cena has never held the Universal Championship, but he finally has the opportunity to win the coveted belt for the first time in his career at SummerSlam 2021.

#1 Roman Reigns has defeated The Undertaker at WrestleMania

Roman Reigns eliminated The Undertaker from the 2017 Royal Rumble match and The Phenom subsequently stared him down from ringside with cold, dead eyes. The WWE Universe knew at the time that these two behemoths were set to collide soon. At WrestleMania 33, Roman Reigns faced The Undertaker in the main event of the night.

The match wasn't anything special, and it was clear as day that The Undertaker was way past his prime. Still, in the end, Reigns hit a devastating Spear on The Deadman and pinned him while thousands of fans watched in disbelief.

The Undertaker had previously lost to Brock Lesnar at The Show of Shows in 2014, and his loss to Reigns only made things worse. With this loss, The Undertaker's WrestleMania record fell to 23-2.

A year later, John Cena got the opportunity to do exactly what Reigns did when he faced The Undertaker in one of the biggest matches in WrestleMania history. But the contest didn't even last three minutes, and it was incredibly underwhelming. The Undertaker squashed Cena in a forgettable match that night. As a result, Reigns, unlike Cena, can say he has beaten The Undertaker at WWE's biggest show of the year.
