5 Things that must happen on RAW, NXT, and SmackDown this week

WWE could use several top Superstars to extend many storylines
WWE could use several top Superstars to extend many storylines

Last week we got a crazy number of amazing storylines and matches as not only did the company give us three top quality episodes of regular shows, but also added a pay-per-view in Saudi Arabia in the middle.

While this made things exciting, the Superstars felt the wrath of flight delays and travel issues as the SmackDown roster could not return to feature on their scheduled show. Instead, the company decided to surprise the fans with NXT Superstars on the Blue Brand.

Carrying that forward, things could turn out to be even more interesting in the upcoming week as the company rolls towards the buildup to Survivor Series which will feature the NXT brand for the first time ever.

This will provide the creatives much more to play with, and many new angles could be added to each rivalry to make things even more interesting for the fans who are used to RAW vs. SmackDown at Survivor Series.

In this article, we will look at the five things that must happen on RAW, NXT, and SmackDown this week to build the excitement for the next pay-per-view.

#5 Becky Lynch calls out Shayna Baszler

Becky Lynch could verbally attack Baszler as the leader of the women's roster

Shayna Baszler sent a huge message as she emerged on Friday Night SmackDown and dismantled the SmackDown Women's Champion, Bayley after her match.

Baszler has been known to be a force to reckon with in NXT, and the most dominating Champion in the women’s locker room deserves more attention than she already gets.

Becky Lynch has already defeated a former UFC fighter at WrestleMania, and this could prove to be an interesting rivalry if WWE takes it up correctly.

WWE should bring Lynch out to open RAW and send a message to Baszler, reminding her that she may be able to manhandle Bayley, but she can’t do the same to The Man.

Afterward, the company should keep Lynch and Baszler away from each other physically, but let them talk about each other all-around the media to build up towards a grand clash of Champions at Survivor Series.

If WWE chooses Lynch to talk about Baszler, it will immediately put the former UFC star over with the WWE Universe without her trying to do much.

#4 The O.C. challenges The Undisputed Era

Will the Best in the World please stand up?
Will the Best in the World please stand up?

At Crown Jewel, Luke Gallows and Karl Anderson surprised the entire WWE Universe by defeating eight other tag teams to be crown the Best Tag Team In The World.

While there is no doubt that the two men are among the top tag teams in the world, it was surprising how the company booked them to win while the two Tag Team Champions and The New Day were among the favorites to win the affair.

While it’s interesting that The O.C. only held the RAW Tag Team Championships for a short period of time, crowning them the Best in the World just weeks before Survivor Series could signal towards something interesting.

The Undisputed Era has widely considered themselves as the best faction, and even WWE has certified the fact. This won’t work well with AJ Styles, Gallows, and Anderson, who must appear on RAW this week and challenge Roderick Strong, Bobby Fish, and Kyle O'Reilly for Survivor Series to determine the Best Faction in the World.

This would allow the RAW and the SmackDown Tag Team Champions to face each other, while the NXT Tag Champions and the North American Champion face off against the United States Champion and the Best Tag Team in the World.

#3 Killian Dain attacks Pete Dunne

Dain will be looking to break much more than just Pete Dunne's fingers

NXT has been featuring some mixed rivalries, and the unexpectedness has kept things interesting for the past few weeks.

After Matt Riddle defeated Cameron Grimes a couple of weeks back, we saw Riddle fistbump Tyler Bate in the crowd which was not appreciated by Grimes and led to Bate knocking Grimes out.

A week before, we saw a big staredown between Killian Dain and Pete Dunne before The Bruiserweight's match against Damian Priest where we saw him snap the former SaNitY member's fingers.

Last week on NXT, Bate and Grimes battled in a match where Dain’s interference and beatdown of Bate left many questions unanswered.

With Dunne scheduled to take on Damian Priest again this week, the threat of Killian Dain appearing and attacking The Bruiserweight looms.

If WWE does plan to do that on NXT this week, then we must see Tyler Bate come out to Dunne’s aide, and set up a tag team match between the faces and heels.

This would provide WWE a great story and a strong pairing going forward, and we could ultimately see Dunne and Bate challenge for the NXT Tag Team Championships down the line.

#2 Shinsuke Nakamura finds a new challenger

The company could give Shorty G a chance
The company could give Shorty G a chance

The Intercontinental Champion, Shinsuke Nakamura, featured in Crown Jewel as the only Champion who was part of the 5-on-5 Team Hogan vs. Team Flair match. This meant that Nakamura was the only singles’ men’s Champion who did not defend his Championship at the event.

When Nakamura was the United States Champion, he barely ever defended it. While WWE is booking him similarly in his current Intercontinental Championship reign, even though we’re getting to see more of him now.

To make things interesting before Survivor Series, the company should find a new long-term challenger for Nakamura to keep him on his feet and also keep the chances of the title changing hands before the pay-per-view alive.

At present, it seems like neither The Fiend nor Brock Lesnar will be losing their titles prior to the event, therefore the company must focus on at least one men’s Championship which could be under threat before the event to keep the speculations coming.

WWE could bring in someone like Shorty G into the picture and have him compete for the title for some weeks as he is currently red-hot and needs to get into a major championship picture.

#1 Bray Wyatt appears without a clue of the Universal Championship

Bray Wyatt must appear on Miz TV next week
Bray Wyatt must appear on Miz TV next week

Bray Wyatt was supposed to appear on the previous edition of Friday Night SmackDown and appear on Miz TV after his spectacular victory against Seth Rollins for the Universal Championship.

However, travel issues caused the plans to go down the drain, and for Tommaso Ciampa to take his place on the Miz TV instead. This week, however, Wyatt should make his delayed appearance on Miz TV to be in front of the WWE Universe.

While things could get interesting with Wyatt out in the ring, he should be presented as someone who has no clue regarding what The Fiend did at Crown Jewel or where the Universal Championship is.

This would make things more interesting and help WWE develop Wyatt’s alter-ego as a completely separate entity while progressing the storyline.

After The Miz and Wyatt are done with most of the talking, the company should interrupt them by shutting out the lights and showing The Fiend on the big screen issuing a challenge to the entire SmackDown locker room.

This would prove to be a great beginning to The Fiend’s reign of terror as the Universal Champion on the SmackDown brand.
