5 Things that must happen on this week’s RAW, NXT, and SmackDown

WWE could further work on some interesting angles this week

Since Crown Jewel, all three of WWE's brands have been on a roller coaster, as we’ve seen Superstars from RAW, SmackDown, and NXT appear whenever and wherever in ways that weren't even practiced during the infamous Wild Card Rule era.

The inclusion of NXT to the Survivor Series pay-per-view has allowed the company to go guns blazing and build some of the most intriguing storylines and matches over the last several weeks. However, it is important that the company also keeps its composure in booking matches within the brands to keep storylines and rivalries flowing throughout all three brands.

With NXT first focusing on TakeOver: WarGames, and RAW and SmackDown looking to secure brand supremacy at Survivor Series, we could get some excellent segments on all three brands this week.

In this article, we will look at the five things WWE must do this week on RAW, NXT, and SmackDown in order to build hype around WarGames and Survivor Series.

#5 Zack Ryder & Curt Hawkins defeat The Viking Raiders

WWE has officially announced the big match between The Viking Raiders and the team of Zack Ryder & Curt Hawkins for the RAW Tag Team Championships. Ryder & Hawkins earned this huge opportunity by defeating The O.C. and The Street Profits at a WWE Live Event in Germany.

That in itself is a huge victory for a team like Ryder & Hawkins, who have suffered from below average bookings and being used as enhancement talents.

This newfound opportunity could shake up the entire Survivor Series event once again, as The New Day defeated The Revival last week on SmackDown to win the SmackDown Tag Team Championships and changed the booking for the Survivor Series Triple Threat Match between the RAW, SmackDown, and NXT teams.

This week on RAW, when Ryder & Hawkins and collide with The Viking Raiders, the company should allow for a huge upset victory. However, they should do this by allowing The O.C. to interfere in the match and take out The Viking Raiders in order to continue their ongoing rivalry.

A match between The O.C. and The Viking Raiders for the RAW Tag Team Championships just before Survivor Series could be extremely interesting, as both teams can represent the Red brand at the event, and the whole thing could keep the surprise factor alive.

#4 Randy Orton takes on AJ Styles

Last week, the Superstars of RAW joined forces to make a very interesting team to take on The O.C. Humberto Carrillo paired with Ricochet and Randy Orton to make one of the most diverse teams the WWE Universe has seen in some time.

Throughout the match, we saw the villainous Orton finding it difficult to fit in with the two babyfaces, and the threat of Orton turning on Ricochet remained high, as he came close to hitting his teammate with an RKO.

This week, we should see Humberto Carrillo come out to demand another United States Championship match against AJ Styles, as he pinned the Styles last week to pick up the victory for his team. This could result in a match where Carrillo can come close to victory before receiving a beatdown from The O.C.

This could prompt Ricochet to come to Carrillo's aide before falling to the numbers game and ultimately Orton appearing again to even out the odds by delivering another RKO to Styles.

This could further prove that Orton is turning face, and plant the seeds of a future rivalry between Orton and Styles for the United States Championship. Such a rivalry could prove to be massive for RAW at a time when the top champion doesn’t show up much.

#3 WarGames get a hard-hitting Triple Threat Match

NXT TakeOver: WarGames is shaping up extremely well, and we’ve already had three big matches announced for the event. Two of the announced matches are the men’s and women’s traditional WarGames matches, and we now have a huge singles match between the returning Finn Balor and Matt Riddle.

To make the event even more exciting, the company must book a hard-hitting Triple Threat Match to treat fans to an extraordinary heavyweight showdown. They’ve already planted the seeds for this rivalry, and the match could be announced on the upcoming episode of NXT.

As the rivalry between Killian Dain and Pete Dunne was getting more intense, Damian Priest entered the picture and made a huge statement by laying out both Superstars on last week’s NXT. Priest's latest move would pit both men against him, and one another since they were just taking the first footsteps in their rivalry.

The company should pick up the storyline from there, and give the three men an intense segment this week leading to William Regal coming out and making the match official for the upcoming WarGames event. The two unforgiving heels against 'The Bruiserweight' could lead to an epic match that might just steal the show.

#2 A newer face gets inducted into Team Ciampa

NXT TakeOver: WarGames will be held a day before Survivor Series, and fan excitement is equally high for both events.

The WarGames pay-per-view is one of the most unique ones in all of sports entertainment, and the traditional WarGames Matches are a treat to watch. Last year, the team of Pete Dunne, Ricochet, and The Viking Raiders took on The Undisputed Era during the event, and three of those four men have already progressed to the main roster.

Matt Riddle pulled out of Team Ciampa to battle against Finn Balor, leaving an open spot. The team, which is currently comprised of Tommaso Ciampa, Keith Lee and Dominik Dijakovic, should fill Riddle's spot with an upcoming star instead of a regular top face.

While Velveteen Dream, Tyler Bate, and Kushida sound like the best possible replacements for Riddle, the company should look at a Superstar who is still looking to make a big initial impact on the brand.

Someone like Bronson Reed, Isaiah "Swerve" Scott, or even Boa could prove to be the newer faces the company is trying to build, and NXT could push one of these men to the top by giving them a WarGames opportunity.

We could see Ciampa call for a match between two or three deserving Superstars to take the spot, and the victor could do justice by filling the void left by Matt Riddle.

#1 The New Day come face to face with The Undisputed Era

It has been a dream of many to witness a showdown between two of WWE’s biggest and most popular factions ever, The New Day and The Undisputed Era. Unfortunately, Xavier Woods picked up an injury just a few weeks before the build-up to Survivor Series, and the WWE Universe has been left with only two members of The New Day to cheer for.

As Survivor Series draws closer, the company has already given fans a face -ff between the two teams on SmackDown last week.

We've seen Undisputed Era chosen as the leaders of the invasion angle, and the company should book them to arrive on SmackDown this week to pick a fight with the Tag Team Champions.

It would be incredible to see two men from Undisputed Era go head to head with Kofi Kingston and Big E just before the event, and the match could increase the excitement around the upcoming Triple Threat Tag Team Match.

A booking of this nature would allow fans to witness a dream match on the Blue brand, with the focus still staying on Survivor Series and the overall bigger picture.
