Recently, Dave Meltzer from Wrestling Observer Newsletter reported that The Undertaker has signed a new contract with WWE. Meltzer stated that although this isn't exactly a lifetime contract, it is so long that it can be considered one.

The new deal Undertaker signed, while not exactly a lifetime contract, is so long that for all intents and purposes it is.

Undertaker made his WWE debut back in the early 90s when he came in as a part of Ted Dibiase's Survivor Series team. Around three decades later, The Undertaker is widely regarded as possibly the greatest Superstar in WWE history. His WrestleMania streak is one of the most impressive feats in all of professional wrestling. Here are five things we could see now that The Deadman has signed a long-term deal with WWE.

#5 A string of "passing of the torch" moments

Taker vs McIntyre?
Taker vs McIntyre?

If The Undertaker is slated to be with WWE for a long time to come, the possibility of him wrestling several young guns shouldn't be discounted. There are a bunch of future megastars in the company at the moment, who would take the helm in the main event scene in the coming years.

Superstars like Drew McIntyre, Aleister Black, and Bray Wyatt are just a few among a string of future stars who would benefit from a rub from The Undertaker. Taker and McIntyre had recently locked horns in a tag team match that also featured Roman Reigns and Shane McMahon. Taker taking on Black or The Fiend seems like incredible options at this time, and a victory over someone of the stature of The Undertaker would certainly help any of these Superstars to carve out a legendary career for themselves in the near future.

#4 A Hall of Fame induction before Taker retires

It's about time!
It's about time!

The Undertaker is one of those few all-time greats who have yet to be inducted into the WWE Hall of Fame. His counterparts like Stone Cold, Hulk Hogan, and Ric Flair have all secured their rightful places in the Hall of Fame. Could we see The Undertaker getting inducted before he retires?

With this new contract, we might get to see The Deadman hang on for a long time. What if he plans to do this for a while to come? Does this mean that WWE would wait this long to put him in the hall until he finally retires, or would the company go with the alternative?

It could be entirely possible that WWE would induct The Undertaker into the Hall of Fame before he retires from active competition. Alternatively, we might see Taker getting inducted and then coming back to compete in occasional matches, thanks to his long-term contract. This has happened in the past with the likes of Shawn Michaels, and there's no reason why WWE won't do the same with Taker.

#3 We just might get The Undertaker vs Sting

The dream match
The dream match

Back in the early 2000s, a match between The Undertaker and Sting was a pro-wrestling fan's pipe dream. Sting stayed away from WWE after WCW folded, and became a major Superstar in Impact Wrestling. He finally came to WWE in 2014 and went on to lose to Triple H at WrestleMania 31.

Recently, it was rumored that The Undertaker and Sting could lock horns somewhere down the line. Taker's supposed longtime contract is bound to lead to speculation regarding this match, and we just might get to see The Undertaker take on Sting sometime in the future. Although these two Superstars are way past their prime, there are many who are clamoring to see this dream encounter come to reality.

Hopefully, WWE gives us this match, but only after confirming that both legends are able to hang in the ring and that this doesn't turn into another fiasco like Super ShowDown.

#2 Saudi Arabia could become Taker's new yard

One thing the fans must have noticed is that The Undertaker has become the main attraction on WWE's Saudi Arabia cards. He defeated Rusev at The Greatest Royal Rumble, lost a Tag Team Match to DX at Crown Jewel, and recently defeated Goldberg at Super ShowDown. With him signing a long-term deal with WWE, prepare to see The Deadman becoming a mainstay on WWE's Saudi Arabia tours.

For the next several years, The Undertaker is bound to be featured on WWE's Saudi Arabia shows in a string of big-time matches, one of which could possibly be The Undertaker vs Sting. Although there are many who aren't fans of Taker punishing his body at this age, there's no way around the fact that we are in for several Taker matches in Saudi Arabia, in the near future.

#1 More WrestleMania appearances

At WrestleMania 35, The Undertaker didn't make an appearance. This was the first time that The Phenom missed a WrestleMania since 2000. Many speculated that the reason why Taker wasn't on the card was that WWE wanted to save him for his eventual Saudi Arabia appearance.

A long-term deal could change things in a hurry. Now that The Undertaker will be with the company for a long while, one or several WrestleMania appearances seem like a possibility. WrestleMania 36 is going to emanate from Tampa, Florida next year. Don't be surprised if The Undertaker comes back to his yard and takes on someone from the current roster in a "Passing of the torch" match.

There are several options available to take the helm from The Deadman, with Aleister Black and The Fiend being two popular choices.
