5 Things WWE hinted at on this week's NXT (November 6, 2019)

NXT never disappoints. The Black and Gold brand has been giving the WWE Universe some brilliant action over the past couple of weeks and that continued this week.

The show started with a bang as The OC attacked The Undisputed Era outside the arena. Dakota Kai lost her match against Shayna Baszler, and after a brawl broke out between the War Games opponents, Rhea Ripley announced that Mia Yim would be the fourth member of her team.

Furthermore, Pete Dunne defeated Damian Priest in an incredible bout, but 'The Beast from Belfast' Killian Dain attacked both 'The Bruiserweight' and 'The Archer of Infamy' after the match. The OC squared off against Tommaso Ciampa, Matt Riddle, and Keith Lee in the main event, but all hell broke loose, as Finn Balor attacked Matt Riddle during the match, before Adam Cole took out both Styles and Ciampa.

With all that in mind, let's take a look at five things WWE hinted at on this week's edition of NXT.

#5 Adam Cole's Survivor Series opponent is not yet decided

Who will the NXT Champion face at Survivor Series?
Who will the NXT Champion face at Survivor Series?

Adam Cole has been booked as the strongest NXT Champion yet, as he recently faced Daniel Bryan and Seth Rollins, and left both matches still champion. 'The Panama Playboy' is having a dream run right now and it's safe to say that he is one of the most trusted Superstars in all of WWE.

As the face of NXT, Adam Cole will almost certainly be on the Survivor Series card. 'The Panama Playboy' will be involved in a War Games Match before Survivor Series and just like Baszler, might have to wrestle twice in two days.

As of now, it looks like Triple H and Vince McMahon haven't decided on who Cole will face on November 24th. It definitely won't be WWE Champion Brock Lesnar, as 'The Beast' is scheduled to square off against Rey Mysterio at Survivor Series. It could be The Fiend in a champion vs champion bout, but as of this time, WWE likely doesn't know who Cole will square off against.

#4 The OC are being pushed as RAW's flag bearers

Whenever Survivor Series is on the horizon, there's always one stable from each brand that is pushed as that particular brand's ambassadors. For NXT that stable is clearly The Undisputed Era and for RAW, it's The OC. We still haven't seen anyone from SmackDown lead an attack, but it's sure to come soon.

The OC gave The Undisputed Era a beatdown before this week's edition of NXT even got off to a start and AJ Styles took a hilarious jab at the group saying, "It's called receipt, kids." The OC are experienced competitors and they are being shown as such, while NXT is being displayed as youthful and bold. AJ Styles, Luke Gallows, and Karl Anderson are sure to be involved in more of these invasions until Survivor Series where they will serve as RAW's flag bearers.

#3 Killian Dain vs Damian Priest vs Pete Dunne might happen at War Games

Three completely different Superstars with three entirely different styles will most likely collide in one big Triple Threat Match at NXT Takeover: War Games.

This week, the storyline between Pete Dunne and Killian Dain continued to unravel. 'The Beast from Belfast' is on the path of destruction, as he annihilated both 'The Bruiserweight' and Damian Priest. For weeks, it looked like NXT was planning a long term feud between Dunne and Dain, but now the story might be seeing a new twist. Now that Dain attacked Priest, it looks like the feud just extended from two Superstars to three.

The WWE Universe won't complain though. As demonstrated on last night's episode of NXT, these three will surely provide some incredible action in the weeks to come.

#2 Dakota Kai may be turning heel

Last night's edition of NXT featured some magnificent storytelling. After Dakota Kai gave the performance of a lifetime in a losing effort against NXT Women's Champion Shayna Baszler, she was attacked by Baszler's War Games teammates. This led to a brawl between the faces and the heels, but Mia Yim was able to send the heels packing with a brutal kendo stick attack.

As Kai stood behind her, Rhea Ripley announced that Mia Yim was going to be the fourth member of her team for War Games. Kai was obviously dismayed and dejected in what could be a real turning point for her character.

This all may have been planned by Triple H to turn Kai heel and Ripley could regret her decision, if Kai shows up to War Games to take out her frustrations on the babyface team.

#1 Finn Balor might turn on NXT at Survivor Series

Could Finn Balor turn on NXT?

What a main event we witnessed this week on NXT with numerous interconnected stories being told. Just when Tommaso Ciampa was getting ready to finish AJ Styles to win the match, Finn Balor appeared and attacked Matt Riddle, which disrupted Ciampa's flow and allowed Style to gain the upper hand.

Then came a moment where the entire WWE Universe held their hearts. Styles gave a smile to Balor before both former Bullet Club leaders acknowledged one another. As Mauro Ranallo said, Balor and Styles might just be on the same page.

Only seconds later, Adam Cole attacked Styles and Ciampa from behind, which brought us to the end of the show. Still, no one can forget that little grin Styles gave Balor. What does it indicate? Is Balor joining hands with The OC for Survivor Series, or is he going to continue to do what pleases him?

One thing is for sure, Balor doesn't care about NXT; he only cares about himself. So however everything does play out, expect him to be NXT's most unscrupulous villain for the foreseeable future.
