5 Things WWE should do to have better RAW ratings.

The Red Brand has been losing the ratings’ race lately.

Monday Night Raw, the former “A-Show” of the WWE hasn’t lived up to its former name. Its’ ratings are suffering a lot and when compared to its Blue counterpart, its content isn’t that good either.

Putting the Universal Title on Kevin Owens sure seemed promising but bookings have taken their toll and nothing new has been presented as of late. Cruiserweights need more time to show their magic and the Tag Team scene needs something fresh and new.

Here are 5 of the most important things WWE should do to get better ratings for RAW.

#5 Restart the US Open challenge.

Roman Reigns’s US Title Win was received with a mixed reaction as always.

Roman Reigns is a very controversial superstar. Just like John Cena, he is met with mixed reactions (mostly boos), everytime his theme song plays. But John Cena redeemed his respect from the fans after he came up with the “Weekly US Open Challenge”.

It was a brilliant idea and no one knew who was going to challenge Big Match Johnny to a match. It was mostly NXT Stars or underdogs on the Main Roster. Regardless, everyone got a push and all of them were young guys that were over with the fans, namely Kevin Owens, Sami Zayn, Cesaro, etc.

Maybe WWE could do this in a completely contrasting manner, meaning, they could have Superstars from the past come out to challenge Roman for his championship and help him get over with the fans. This will establish Roman as a better enforcer and will help him to earn the fans’ respect.

With the rumours of returns of icons like Goldberg, Christian, RVD and even KURT ANGLE, this could be truly epic.

#4 Give the tag titles to The Club.

The Club’s run in the WWE hasn’t been TOO SWEET so far.

Luke Gallows and Karl Anderson are one of the hottest tag teams in the world right now. They have held the IWGP Tag Team Championships on three different occasions and were considered to be the most dominant in the division.

Their WWE arrival was thoroughly hyped but so far, they’ve been mercilessly misbooked. The Club and The New Day’s rivalry was great (Old Day segment not included. ANYWHERE) and everyone believed that it was finally time for them to get the gold.

WWE certainly missed that golden opportunity. But it doesn’t really matter because they can still put the tag gold on their waists. Because, The Club certainly will bring something challenging and new to the Tag Team Division.

#3 Give us more gifts from Jericho.

We drank in the gift of Jericho, and IT was glorious.

I guess its safe to say at this point that Chris Jericho is the best thing on Monday Night RAW. His hilarious interviews with Tom (aka Timm, Steven, Nathaniel, Todd, etc etc) Phillips, his bromance with the WWE Universal Champion Kevin Owens, his IT segments, the Gift and List of Jericho and his in-ring mastery, this guy is arguably the best entertainer in WWE History.

Give this guy more screen-time than he already gets and put him in the Universal Title picture, just to put talent over and entertain people with his magic. Even at the age of 45, Jericho is bringing newer things to the table, week in and week out.

He has had a triumphant career and has certainly done it all. It started back in 99’ and it’s still the same, RAW is Jericho.

#2 Bring back The Game

The Game is yet to make his appearance on RAW after the shocking betrayal.

This moment right here was one that gave us all goosebumps. It was well-booked and well-executed and fans loved it when KO won the big one. But it was expected of Triple H to show up the following week and explain his actions.

But it hasn’t happened yet and has made things worse. Triple H’s absence has made the fans question the credibility of that magical moment. People were sure that The Game would show up at the Main Event of Clash of Champions but he didn’t.

He did make an appearance in a backstage segment but it wasn’t relevant per se. It is about time to water the seeds of the feud between Rollins and Triple H that were laid on Raw a month ago and it won’t be happening anytime soon if the Game doesn’t appear in a week or two.

#1 Bring Cesaro to the Universal Title picture.

Cesaro is brutally underused at this point of time.

Cesaro is probably the most underrated and underutilised Superstar on the Main Roster as a whole. His Best of 7 Series with Sheamus ended in a disappointment and now he is being forced to team up with Sheamus and fight for the Tag Titles.

Cesaro’s bookings are being noticed on-screen by a number of WWE Superstars including John Cena and Daniel Bryan and off-screen by almost everyone except Vince apparently. The man has proven week-in and week-out that he is indeed a championship material.

Fans are endlessly yearning for him to win a world championship regardless of the brand. If WWE can’t give him a proper Main Event push on Raw then they should simply send him to Smackdown, the place where he wanted to be.

But for now, for the sake of Raw and its ratings, Cesaro needs to stay in the Title Picture for some time.
