5 things you should know about Liv Morgan

Let's learn a little about Liv
Let's learn a little about Liv

Liv Morgan has an amazing mantra of "Ya Only Liv Once" which is evident not only by how she works in the ring by how intense she tackles every situation she's in. There's a passion for the pro wrestling business held deep within Liv Morgan's fighting spirit and she's been a standout in NXT.

Although she might have never seen a main event on NXT television or at a TakeOver Special, Liv Morgan has accomplished a lot and has plenty to prove.

If you've ever seen her perform you know she's capable of some great things. So don't let Liv Morgan's cuteness fool you because she's plenty impressive and more than capable of handling herself in the ring.

While we're at it, let's explore five things you should know about one of the newest additions to the SmackDown women's roster.

#5 She's a former backyard wrestler

She's taken some incredible bumps before she was even trained

Yes, we're going to talk about backyard wrestling. And no, you should never try this at home because WWE Superstars are trained professionals. But the fact is, without the art of locking up in your backyard, the pro wrestling bug might have never bit Liv Morgan.

She grew up in backyard wrestling with her four older brothers and younger sister which means she learned how to take a bump early in her life. Odds are she put herself in some pretty unsafe situations as well because isn't that what backyard wrestling is all about?

Morgan described her first experiences in backyard wrestling by discussing everything she was game for which is a trait she hasn't lost to this day.

She willingly took pedigrees and powerbombs thinking of it as her job even before she was getting paid to do it. She pretended to be Lita and embodied her tomboy identity even before she adopted the gimmick on a bigger stage.

#4 She dated Enzo Amore until recently

They
They were the most real couple in the room while it lasted

WWE Performance Center relationships are no new thing. Ever since the incarnation of WWE's amazing graduate school of pro wrestling their students have coupled off. While some have lasted to this day, others haven't.

Liv Morgan started dating Enzo Amore back when he was still in NXT. They maintained a relationship although it was never acknowledged on NXT television. But Morgan recently made headlines when she made allusions to Enzo Amore cheating on her.

Now it appears as though she might be romantically involved with former WWE United Kingdom Champion Tyler Bate. The two do make a cute couple but her relationship with Amore was her most high-profile relationship to date.

#3 She's a true product of the WWE Performance Center

The WWE Performance Center's intention is to take a piece of clay and mould it into the perfect WWE Superstar. Liv Morgan's 2014 emergence in NXT gave WWE plenty of time to shape her into something special and she was more than willing to take their expert direction.

Much like Alexa Bliss before her, she had no official training in pro wrestling before coming to WWE. But where Bliss was a competitive bodybuilder, Morgan was a competitive cheerleader although "Little Miss Bliss" was also a cheerleader for the University Of Akron.

But just like Bliss, Liv Morgan was a huge fangirl who loved WWE and wanted to make her dream become a reality. After being discovered at Joe DeFranco's gym in Wyckoff, New Jersey, WWE knew they had to sign Morgan to a contract.

The fact that she had no experience on the indy scene might actually benefit her in many ways. Not only is WWE liable to be more willing to push her as a home-grown Superstar, but if they've been able to keep her talents hidden then fans might be shocked at what she can pull out in a pinch during a match.

Needless to say, Liv Morgan has received exceptional training and is ready to show the WWE Universe what she can do.

#4 She's wrestled with the main roster before

In preparation for her call-up, Liv Morgan has wrestled at several WWE house shows. Live events are a great place for NXT talents to sneak onto a show and demonstrate to the front office what they're capable of.

She's been working WWE live events for over a year at this point and has capitalized on every opportunity set before her. Her gusto in the ring coupled with her ability to make anyone she's facing look good makes her a valuable asset for WWE.

Now that she's officially on the WWE main roster it wouldn't be a huge surprise to see Liv Morgan pop up at the next SmackDown house show, but it won't make it any less exciting.

#5 She's incredibly popular backstage

It seems nobody has anything bad to say about Liv Morgan. Of course, when she's on screen alongside Ruby Riot and Sarah Logan she might present a vicious heel persona. But backstage she seems to be an overwhelming favourite.

Morgan's extremely close with NXT Superstar Aliyah. The two often travel together and have been known to go out on the town as well. Her absence from the WWE Performance Center will be missed but Morgan has worked very hard to finally get her main roster call-up

Even though she might present herself to be a dastardly heel at this point, her personality backstage will be a light in the locker room and SmackDown Live will soon wonder how they ever existed without her.

In fact, I wouldn't be a bit surprised to see her as an addition to Total Divas soon enough. After all, she's not just a backstage favourite because plenty of fans have gravitated to her as well.
