Sometimes, even the Monster Among Men loses against emotions

The 'Monster Amongst Men', Braun Strowman is easily one of most loved WWE Superstars across the WWE Universe. It is difficult to imagine anyone criticizing Strowman for the work he does, both inside and outside the ring.

Standing at 6.8'' tall, Strowman is an epitome of unparalleled strength and can often be pretty intimidating. It goes without saying that no one in their sane mind would volunteer to get those hands. After all, it's not easy to muster enough courage to stand in his way.

However, beneath all acts of aggression, Strowman has a different side. Several backstage stories indicate that the Monster Amongst Men is a humble Superstar, a caring friend and most importantly, someone who has the heart of an angel.

We may not see this side that often but these stories depict a wonderful picture of Strowman's emotions that are often hidden behind a veil.

#5 His gratitude towards Mark Henry

Braun Strowman has often credited WWE Hall of Famer Mark Henry for his WWE career. Strowman stated that he was a big fan of the "The World's Strongest Man" who bridged the gap between powerlifting and pro-wrestling.

Last year, in an interview with Busted Open Radio, Strowman revealed that he got his big break because of Mark Henry and said,

Truth be told, I wouldn't be here today if it wasn't for Mark Henry. I traveled around the world doing strongman competition. That's the first time I met Mark, back in 2010 when I competed as an amateur. I introduced myself and said 'I've always been a fan of his in WWE and what he's done in the strength sports world.

Strowman was the last opponent that Mark Henry faced in a singles match before retiring from WWE and transitioning into a backstage role. Even then, Strowman went public with an emotional message in which he thanked Henry for putting his name on the line so that he can get everyone's attention.

#4 Alexa Bliss' injury

Braun Strowman and Alexa Bliss joined forces to participate in the first-ever WWE Mixed Match Challenge. The duo had brilliant chemistry and quickly became one of the most popular team during the course of the Championship.

However, in the second season, Little Miss Bliss' unfortunate arm injury forced her to maintain distance from the squared circle. She was replaced by Ember Moon who went on to team up with Strowman in the Mixed Match Challenge before the latter was replaced by Curt Hawkins.

When asked about how it felt to compete without Bliss by his side, Strowman admitted that he was heartbroken. He also went on to say that he couldn't think of anyone equally worthy of being his teammate.

Popular as 'Team Little Big', Bliss and Strowman often had fun segments on Monday Night RAW. Strowman was evidently upset with Bliss' injury which derailed their MM plans in the second season. Hopefully, we will see these two Superstars coming together once again in the future.

Last year, Braun Strowman teamed up Roman Reigns and The Undertaker to take on Kevin Owens, Baron Corbin, and Elias in the main event of Monday Night RAW. The Madison Square Ground was exhilarated with the Deadman's return.

After an action-filled main-event, The Undertaker shook hands with Strowman which fetched a huge pop from the WWE Universe. Following their match, the Monster Among Men went backstage and dwelled in nostalgia.

Coincidentally, it was exactly five years ago when Strowman stepped inside a ring. He was excited to be a part of such a start-studded main event and got emotional while recalling his journey that started half a decade ago.

So man, kind of lost for words right now. Driving here today to Madison Square Garden I realised it was July 7th. Well July 7th, 2013 is the day I first stepped foot in a wrestling ring period, when I step foot in a WWE ring at the WWE Performance Center in Orlando, Florida. Five years to the day, I just main event in Madison Square Garden with Roman Reigns and the Undertaker.
I am at a loss of words honestly… This company has been nothing but amazing to me. It’s done things and showed me things that I never thought were possible in life. And it’s one thing after another. I am so flabbergasted at where my career has gone in such a short period of time, and I am so grateful for every opportunity that I’ve gotten so far to this point. The WWE Universe and your support, everyone in the back that’s helped me get to here, and here’s to at least ten more years of the ‘Monster Amongst Men’ going out there and doing what he does best and that’s entertaining the hell out of you. Thank you guys for five years…

#2 Roman Reigns' announcement

A friend that everyone needs

Last year, an unfortunate incident left the WWE Universe devastated. On October 22, Roman Reigns took the center stage and announced that he has been diagnosed with leukemia. As a result, he had to forfeit his title and seek hiatus from the squared circle.

Soon after the announcement, Reigns was embraced by Seth Rollins and Dean Ambrose before they left for backstage. There, he was greeted by several other WWE Superstars who showed their love and support towards the 'Big Dog'.

Braun Strowman was also one of those who hugged Reigns and assured him that he is not alone in his fight. Strowman stepped forward, hugged Reigns and said, "Brother, I am here for you. Anything, you know that, anything." It was heartwarming to see him stand by a fellow Superstar during such horrible times.

Not only that, during a live event, a fan had brought a poster that had messages like 'Get well soon, Roman" and "Cancer sucks, believe that". Strowman borrowed that poster and took it to the ring. He then went onto to lift the poster for the world to see that the WWE universe is right beside Reigns in his battle against leukemia.

#1 Meeting with his biggest fan

A dream come true...
A dream come true...

Braun Strowman's golden heart witnessed unfortunate adversity and was fragmented into a million pieces. The 'Make a Wish' foundation arrange for a meeting between Braun Strowman and Ryan, the Monster Amongst Men's superfan.

Diagnosed with a special genetic disorder, Ryan had to undergo critical brain surgery. He said that it was Strowman who helped him during the entire procedure because it gave him the strength to keep fighting. He met Strowman backstage after RAW.

Ryan always spoke about his favorite WWE Superstar and discussed it with every visitor in the hospital. Ryan's mother also credits Strowman for helping her son through difficult times.

Upon meeting Ryan, Strowman could not contain his emotions. Tears rolled down his eyes as he discussed his meeting with Ryan later in an interview. This was the first-ever wish that Strowman granted via 'Make-a-wish' foundation. Since then, Strowman has met several other children in distress who look up to him for strength, inspiration, and hope.
