Goldberg is one of the most dominant wrestlers of all time. Over his lengthy wrestling career, Goldberg's winning streak became extremely famous.

The former WWE Universal Champion had a 173-0 undefeated streak in WCW before it came to an end. Consequently, very few wrestlers have defeated Goldberg in singles competition.

The star had a dominant run in WCW and a short run in WWE as well. Since his return to WWE in the late-2010s, he has suffered more defeats at the hands of some of WWE's top stars.

In this article, let's take a look at five superstars who defeated Goldberg in one-on-one matches. As a result, this will not include Goldberg's defeat to Triple H in their Elimination Chamber match in the early-2000s.

#5 Kevin Nash ends Goldberg's undefeated streak — Starrcade 1998

The first entry on this list has to be the most unfair defeat of Goldberg's career. It was also a defeat that should have never happened.

When Goldberg first appeared in WCW, he was this indomitable force. There was seemingly nothing that could come close to stopping his momentum in the ring. He faced and defeated star after star as if they were nothing.

He had some incredible matches in that time as he racked up a 173-0 record, facing DDP, among others. The New World Order (nWo) was the dominant faction in WCW around this time. Almost every wrestler had lost to them at one point or the other.

Unfortunately for Goldberg, they turned their attention to him.

Goldberg was yet to lose a match when Kevin Nash battled him for the WCW Championship. Goldberg dominated most of the match and got ready for a spear when Nash's partner, Scott Hall, dressed as a security guard, knocked Goldberg down with a taser.

Nash took advantage of it and hit him with a Powerbomb to win. Thus, Goldberg's streak came to an end without putting over a young star who needed it, but by satisfying Kevin Nash's ego in a dirty finish.

#4 The Undertaker defeats Goldberg — WWE Super ShowDown 2019

Goldberg vs. The Undertaker was a dream match for many fans early in the Attitude Era. Even when Goldberg first came to WWE, fans hoped they would face each other.

However, when they faced each other, both wrestlers were well past their prime. At the WWE Super ShowDown 2019 event, Goldberg finally fought The Undertaker.

It was an unmitigated disaster that almost brought an end to both stars' careers. Early in the match, Goldberg hit his head on the ring post and was not himself for the rest of it.

He managed to bring The Undertaker's head down in a brainbuster while trying to execute the jackhammer. The Phenom fell on his neck and it could have been a horrible injury. Thankfully he was safe. He tried to hit Goldberg with a Tombstone, but the former Universal Champion almost refused to leave his feet. In the end, The Undertaker ended the match frustrated and with a chokeslam.

The Undertaker won, but the match was one that the WWE Universe, The Phenom, and even Goldberg hope to forget.

#3 Bret Hart defeats Goldberg — Starrcade 1999 and other occasions

The fact that Bret Hart is not a big fan of Goldberg is well known. In fact, at times it has appeared that Hart hates the star. He has a reason for his dislike of the performer.

Goldberg hit Bret Hart with an extremely stiff kick and knocked him back, leading to Hart suffering a concussion. The kick was the reason Hart had to bring his career to an early end and retire.

However, in 1999, Bret Hart became one of the only stars to defeat Goldberg multiple times. He faced Goldberg in a United States Championship match in October and defeated him thanks to interference from Kevin Nash, Scott Hall, and Sid Vicious.

That was not the only time Hart won against Goldberg. At Starrcade 1999, Bret Hart defeated him once again and retained the WCW title thanks to Roddy Piper. Hart's third victory came when he defeated Goldberg thanks to interference from Jeff Jarrett, Scott Hall, and Kevin Nash on WCW Nitro.

Hart remains one of Goldberg's biggest rivals of all time, even if the two men are not on the same page in real life.

#2 Brock Lesnar defeats Goldberg — WrestleMania 33

The first few times Brock Lesnar and Goldberg met in the ring, each time, it was Goldberg who got the win.

The first time Lesnar faced Goldberg was at WrestleMania XX. Both men were leaving after the match, and even though Goldberg won, both men took Stone Cold Stunners for their trouble once the match was done. The next time they met in the ring, it was 13 years later.

They made separate returns to WWE after taking time away from the company. Goldberg created history as he managed to defeat Lesnar in a matter of seconds at Survivor Series 2016. He hit Lesnar with multiple spears and hit the jackhammer to get the win.

The final time they faced each other was at WrestleMania 33. It was a brutal match where Goldberg defended his WWE Universal Championship against Lesnar.

Lesnar wanted the title and was prepared to go to any lengths to get revenge for his earlier humiliation. He hit ten German Suplexes and kicked out of three spears and a jackhammer. The F-5 ended up finishing Goldberg as Lesnar came away with the win.

#1 Drew McIntyre defeats Goldberg — Royal Rumble 2021

The most recent loss Goldberg suffered was at the hands of Drew McIntyre. McIntyre held the WWE Championship after overcoming numerous challenges from the likes of Randy Orton.

However, Goldberg's return made it seem likely that McIntyre's time with the title was coming to an end. The former Universal Champion returned to challenge Drew McIntyre for a shot at the WWE Championship.

The two finally faced each other in the ring at the WWE Royal Rumble 2021 pay-per-view. Fans were afraid that The Scottish Psychopath would not be able to retain and would lose the title to Goldberg ahead of WrestleMania.

Thankfully, that was not the case.

Both men gave it their all in a brutal match at the Royal Rumble event. Goldberg looked good and seemed ready to destroy McIntyre, but the champion summoned up all of his in-ring ability and strength to dominate and defeat the WCW legend. The final Claymore landed, and the match ended with Drew standing tall, having defeated the wrestling legend.

As of this writing, Goldberg has not wrestled a match since Royal Rumble 2021. It's unclear when he will next return to the WWE ring.
