Adam Cole and Seth Rollins put on a great showing

Sure, we have a team of writers at Sportskeeda who live, breathe, love and are addicted to the beautiful sport we know as professional wrestling. But at the end of the day, everything we do is for you, the reader.

Which is why we've introduced a brand new feature where you can make yourself heard. Just visit this page and vote for your favorite match of the week by leaving a comment about just what you felt.

Every match has been listed at the top from RAW, SmackDown and NXT. If you think we need to look beyond WWE and put up an AEW or an Impact list as well, please be sure to let us know in the comments below.

Also, you can continue to vote for each match even after this article is up!

So without further ado, let's dive right into the heart of the matter and look at which matches the WWE Universe liked. Mind you, the average match rating this week is significantly lower than last week. I suppose Crown Jewel just had far better matches.

#5 Nikki Cross vs. Sasha Banks

Sasha Banks has only been Bayley's sidekick in recent times but she bounced back with a major victory over Nikki Cross this week. While the match wasn't anything special, it showed Sasha Banks as a dominant athlete and had her go over clean, which is always a good thing. Nikki Cross tapped out, but I don't think losing to Sasha Banks really hurts your momentum.

I'm surprised that this match made it to the list considering that the biggest talking point once the match was done came from the fact that Shayna Baszler invaded SmackDown. A Sasha vs. Shayna match before Survivor Series maybe?

#4 New Day vs. The Revival (SmackDown Tag Team Championship match)

Listen, you put The New Day and The Revival in the same ring and you know that they're going to put on a great match. And that's what they did on SmackDown with the titles on the line. It upset a lot of people that The New Day became Champions again, but you can't take anything away from the match which was awesome.

Kofi Kingston and Big E dedicated the match to Xavier Woods who's out with an injury, so that actually made this match even more special to see. Theories abound about why the title change happened, but listen, for what it was, it was a fantastic match. I wouldn't even mind more clashes between The New Day and The Revival.

From the looks of it, neither would you guys because you guys voted this contest as one of the best matches of the entire week that was!

#3 Pete Dunne vs. Damian Priest

Damian Priest may tower over Pete Dunne but he does not fight like a monster would on RAW and SmackDown. He's athletic and agile and his abilities were in full display against Pete Dunne.

Dunne would pick up the victory after a back and forth match by making Priest submit. It was a great match as one would expect from two athletes of this caliber, and as you would expect from the NXT brand.

Killian Dain would then insert himself into the proceedings and go on to demolish both Pete Dunne and Killian Dain making things very interesting indeed for TakeOver: WarGames. While no match has been announced yet, one could expect a permutation of this lineup to clash.

This is certainly not the best Pete Dunne match I've seen but even an ordinary Pete Dunne match is pretty good, as you guys are well aware.

#2 Seth Rollins vs. Adam Cole

So Adam Cole had a fantastic showing on SmackDown last week, which made it to the list of top-rated matches. He took on Daniel Bryan and came out on top after what was a spectacular clash between two of the best in the world. But his week was far from done because he would take on an even bigger Superstar.

Adam Cole and Seth Rollins battled in the main event of RAW for the NXT Championship. It tied into Triple H wanting Seth Rollins as a member of Team NXT. The match was just as good as one would expect from two performers at this level.

Unfortunately, we could not determine who the better performer was. The Undisputed ERA would interfere resulting in what became an all-out brawl between the brands. Maybe this match will be reserved for a far bigger stage, down the line.

#1 The OC vs. Ciampa, Lee, and Riddle

As has been established during the course of this article, the running theme for the week has been NXT invading RAW and SmackDown on FOX. And quite logically, one would expect the Superstars on RAW to retaliate.

AJ Styles, Karl Anderson, and Luke Gallows would invade NXT and take on Tommaso Ciampa, Keith Lee, and Matt Riddle in the main event. It was a fun match and also an eventful one, leaving us with more questions than answers, really.

Finn Balor and AJ Styles had a moment that harked back to their shared history from the Bullet Club in Japan. Adam Cole would also interfere in this match, and the following weeks should be quite packed, ladies and gentlemen.

Voting lines are still open so just in case you're yet to do so, we recommend that you go and cast your vote for these matches at the top of the screen.
