One of the greatest WWE Superstars of all time, The Undertaker is all set to complete 30 marvelous years with the company at Survivor Series 2020. After announcing his retirement on the final episode of his WWE Network docuseries, The Undertaker will be having his 'Final Farewell' tonight.

After maintaining the mystique around his character for all these years, The Undertaker has completely broken kayfabe and is enjoying the next phase of his life. Ahead of WWE Survivor Series, the rumor mill is full of speculations and The Undertaker himself has given several interviews and new details about his career.

Let's take a look at five Undertaker rumors that you need to know before WWE Survivor Series 2020.

#5 Kurt Angle and several other legends to appear at The Undertaker's Final Farewell at WWE Survivor Series

As per the rumors, several WWE legends and Hall of Famers including Kurt Angle, Kane, and The Godfather are set to return at Survivor Series 2020 to be a part of The Undertaker's Final Farewell. Kurt Angle has had multiple memorable feuds and matches against The Undertaker.

"WWE Hall of Famer Kurt Angle and Olympic gold medalist Kurt Angle is scheduled to be in attendance at the Survivor Series this Sunday, PWInsider.com has confirmed. It is likely that Angle is being brought in for the Undertaker's Final Farewell. As previously reported, Kane, The Godfather, and Savio Vega will also be in attendance at the PPV. Whether any of them will appear on camera remains to be seen. It's entirely possible they are being brought in to film WWE Network content or additional material related to Undertaker that will be released down the line."

If the rumors are true, WWE is planning to make The Undertaker's Final Farewell a grand ceremony, something The Phenom deserves every bit of. It would be interesting to see whether The Undertaker breaks kayfabe and speaks as the man Mark Calaway himself at WWE Survivor Series tonight or not.

#4 The Undertaker on what if Vince McMahon asks him to return

During the WWE Network docuseries earlier this year, when The Undertaker announced his intentions to retire, he did mention that he will be back if Vince McMahon needs him. We have previously seen The Undertaker almost retire and come back once again.

During a recent interview with CBS Sports, The Undertaker was asked what would he do if Vince McMahon asks him to return, to which The Phenom indicated that his retirement plans will stick for good this time.

"You know, I have to deal not only with my thoughts and my conscience, but I also have to deal with Vince's thoughts and his conscience," Calaway said. "A lot of times, they're not always on the same page. Vince's line is, 'You never say never.' But where I'm at, I don't see myself getting to a point where I'm going to be physically better in a couple of years than I am now. I'm going to be a couple of years older and a couple of years slower. So yeah, I mean, I just don't see it. Not in the capacity where I'm going to get in the ring and actually work. Whether I have some sort of role, that's a different thing, but my days in the ring I think are long gone now."

The Undertaker has been one of the biggest attractions for WWE over the last multiple decades. Even today, the mere name of The Undertaker is enough to sell-out stadiums and get fans excited.

#3 The Undertaker thinks he could have changed Vince McMahon's mind about ending his WrestleMania streak

The Undertaker has held many records in WWE, but arguably his best achievement is his once-undefeated WrestleMania streak. For years, it was one of the biggest attractions at WrestleMania as no one was able to defeat The Undertaker on The Grandest Stage of Them All.

It was at WrestleMania XXX where Brock Lesnar shocked the world by conquering The Undertaker's legendary WrestleMania streak, making himself the one in 21-1. This decision did not go well with many in the WWE Universe as Lesnar was already a star and didn't need this. Speaking to SI Media Podcast, The Undertaker stated that he believes he could have changed Vince McMahon's mind about ending his streak that night.

"Could I have probably changed the finish? Maybe. I think probably I could've. It had gone back and forth several times. The day of WrestleMania when I showed up, I was going over. The finish got changed during the day."

The Undertaker revealed what went down on the day of WrestleMania XXX as Vince McMahon himself came into the dressing room and talked to him.

"I remember clear as day, I was sitting in the dressing room by myself. Vince comes walking in. Vince never comes into the dressing rooms. Usually you get summoned to his office. As soon as I seen him come in the dressing room, I knew exactly what he was coming in for. He gave me his spiel. I said, 'Are you sure? Cause once we do this, we can't go back. Once the streak's broken, it's broke.'"
"So I just had a few questions that made him think for a second and he was like, 'Yeah, this is what I want to do' and I said, 'O.K., that's what we'll do then.'"

Brock Lesnar defeating The Undertaker's streak remains to be one of the most controversial decisions in WWE history. It is interesting to wonder how different today's WWE would have looked had Lesnar not defeated The Phenom that night.

#2 The locker room didn't think The Undertaker's character would last long

The character of The Undertaker is considered to be the greatest creation of Vince McMahon. Of course, the credit equally goes to Mark Calaway for fully committing himself to play the character and maintain its mystique for so long.

Interestingly, Shawn Michaels revealed in a recent interview with CBS Sports that the locker room initially questioned how long The Undertaker's character could last, although they all thought it was a really cool idea.

"As I’ve told over the years, the biggest takeaway I can recall is everyone thinking it was very cool and a great idea, but we all questioned what kind of longevity a character like that can have. He’s dead. He doesn’t sell. It sounded from the locker room standpoint like maybe a limited character. It seemed like he would be very cool, but it would be short-lived. Which, of course, 30 years later, that’s pretty dang amusing if you ask me. But it speaks to Mark’s ability. And then seeing it, it was a hard character not to think, ‘What a cool idea.’"

Contrary to that, The Undertaker is still one of the most favorite characters in WWE, even 30 years after his debut. The slight changes and adaptations over the years have surely helped along the way.

#1 'The Fiend' Bray Wyatt to interrupt The Undertaker's Final Farewell

Even after the company's announcement of The Undertaker having his 'Final 'Farewell at Survivor Series 2020, a huge section of the WWE Universe is of the opinion that this might not really be his farewell after all. The speculation is that 'The Fiend' Bray Wyatt could end up interrupting the segment and attacking The Undertaker to set-up a dream clash between the two down the line.

Ever since the debut of The Fiend, fans have wanted to see this demonic alter ego of Bray Wyatt to take on The Lord of Darkness himself, The Undertaker. The introduction of cinematic matches in WWE has further increased the hopes of this clash taking place in such a setting.

During an appearance on WWE The Bump, The Undertaker spoke about a potential match against The Fiend and teased some unique match ideas for this clash.

"I would love to have been able to work a program with The Fiend. I mean my goodness, there's no telling what kinda matches we'd come up with. You know, just due to the strength of his character and obviously The Undertaker character. It would have been something else. It might have been a buried alive swamp match from Alcatraz. The possibilities would be limitless with those two characters."

Bray Wyatt has himself subtly teased this match, which has further fueled the rumors of him crashing The Undertaker's Final Farewell at WWE Survivor Series 2020.
