At Crown Jewel 2018, Shane McMahon replaced The Miz in the final of the WWE World Cup tournament after Miz suffered an injury. McMahon went on to defeat Dolph Ziggler in the final to be crowned ‘The Best in the World’.

He took the title way too seriously in the months that followed and went on to win the SmackDown Tag Team Championships along with The Miz. McMahon then went on a heel run and had some interesting rivalries involving The Miz, Roman Reigns, and Kevin Owens.

At the 20th Anniversary episode of SmackDown on October 4, 2019, McMahon was “fired” from the show after he lost a ladder match against Owens.

Since then, fans have been enjoying McMahon-free storylines as the annoying heel has stopped appearing on WWE completely.

However, some fans are now missing McMahon and his work which made him one of the biggest on-screen villains and are wondering whether he’d be back any time soon.

In this article, we will look at the 5 ways in which WWE could bring back Shane O’Mac to our television screens. But before that, you can gear up by listening to what Sheamus has to say regarding the success of The Bar and Cesaro's singles run in WWE!

#5 Enter the KO vs. Seth Rollins storyline

Since moving on from his rivalry with Shane McMahon, we’ve watched Kevin Owens move to RAW. On Monday Nights he has been standing up to Seth Rollins, Buddy Murphy, and the AOP, all of whom have made a faction and are trying to take over Monday Night RAW.

Owens has tried partnering with several Superstars, including The Big Show, Samoa Joe, and The Viking Raiders on his quest to bring down the Monday Night Messiah, but he has always found himself at a disadvantage.

While McMahon was the biggest heel during his previous run, we could watch him return to help out Owens and take out Rollins and his goons.

While the story would take some time to take off, especially with Owens not trusting McMahon at all, it could help WWE turn McMahon into an underdog face again and give him a memorable final run with the RAW brand.

#4 Dethrone The King

Shane McMahon’s last run was with SmackDown, and we could once again watch him return to the brand for one last run to leave a mark on the company.

Since Shane-O Mac has left the ring, we’ve watched Baron Corbin transform into the most hated character in WWE. If Shane had not left, it is likely that Corbin’s rise to the top of the heel ranks would not have been so easy or smooth.

This wouldn’t fit well with a person who loved hogging the spotlight and taking the spots which weren’t meant to be his. With that in mind, we could watch Shane return to the ring in an attempt to bring down King Corbin and take his crown.

Corbin has had a good and healthy run as the top heel of WWE, and its time that the company gives the man some breathing space and turns him into a crowd-favorite so that he can get on track to win a major Championship and get some love from the WWE Universe.

With Shane returning, a lot of heat from Corbin can be redirected to The Prodigal Son who could then turn the SmackDown locker room against their King and try to bring him down.

This could slowly turn Corbin into a babyface and give him a new character to work with which increasing his character dynamics

#3 The Monster Among Men’s new rival

Braun Strowman had been searching for his first singles Championship belt in WWE for a very long time. He managed to get a spot in several Championship rivalries, but it seemed like every time the fans got behind him, the company decided to pull back their investments in The Monster.

After many tries, Strowman finally got his chance against Shinsuke Nakamura for the Intercontinental Championship. While no one can doubt The Artist’s talent in the ring, his reign as the Intercontinental Championship was ruined largely by the bookings he received and his character which was overshadowed by Sami Zayn’s work on the mic.

On the January 31 episode of SmackDown, Strowman defeated Nakamura to win the Intercontinental Championship, his first singles title in the WWE.

Now that Strowman has his first Championship belt, fans will be hoping that the company will give him enough build to get back to being a prominent star in the company. However, Bray Wyatt’s work at the top as the Universal Champion is sure to overshadow Strowman’s Intercontinental Championship run.

However, WWE could bring back the much-hated Shane McMahon to get him in a rivalry with Strowman and make their rivalry a talk of the town. Not only will this help Strowman become more of a babyface as Shane is a massive heel, but it will also pull fans’ interest into the storyline as all storylines involving Shane have been massive over the past two years.

#2 Elimination Chamber

Elimination Chamber is only about a month away, and the event will host some of the biggest matches of the year just weeks before the big WrestleMania pay-per-view.

The most exciting matches of the night are held in an Elimination Chamber and usually consist of six Superstars or teams who battle for a Champion or a chance to become the No.1 contender for a title.

Last year, Daniel Bryan successfully defended his WWE Championship in the Elimination Chamber against Jeff Hardy, Randy Orton, AJ Styles, Samoa Joe, and Kofi Kingston.

This year, we could watch ‘The Fiend’ Bray Wyatt defend his Universal Championship during the event, or a chance to face The Fiend at WrestleMania 36 on the line.

Roman Reigns, Daniel Bryan, King Corbin, Shinsuke Nakamura, and Mustafa Ali are some of the top names who could find their way into the match at the event. However, if the need arises, WWE could bring back Shane McMahon who could arrive and steal someone’s spot for the match, drawing a lot of heat and giving fans some interesting spots during the match.

Shane loves fighting in hardcore or stipulation matches and entering such a match with SmackDown not having too many top Superstars to fill the spot could help the company create a great storyline

#1 Career vs. Career match

A rivalry between these two veterans could be entertaining for the fans
A rivalry between these two veterans could be entertaining for the fans

Shane McMahon has been off television screens for quite some time now, but fans have still not forgotten the impact he has had on the WWE Universe.

Some of the best and worst rivalries Shane has had in his career has been with the man who is his real-life brother-in-law, Triple H.

We’ve watched the two men feud for years, and now that they are in the twilight of their careers, they’ve gone down the radar in the ring and continue to work backstage.

While that is the case, WWE might be planning to build a big WrestleMania match involving Triple H and someone who has had bad blood with The Game. Previously, we’ve watched the company effortlessly build a storyline between Batista and Triple H which led to the end of Batista’s career.

Similarly, for this year’s grand show, we could watch WWE bring back Shane who could try to end the career of The Cerebral Assassin.

A storyline between the two would be as effortless to create like the one between Batista and Triple H due to their past, and it would be great to watch the two men battle in a Career vs. Career match which could actually mark the end of one of the men’s careers.
