5 ways WWE could legitimately surprise us at Hell in a Cell

Hell in a Cell 2018

With Hell in a Cell just two weeks away, speculations are rife about what new could happen in the upcoming Pay-Per-View. WWE will be looking to capitalize on the good push, SummerSlam gave its audience in order to boost its storytelling.

While RAW looks a little lousy as far as storytelling and feuds are concerned, SmackDown Live looks way better in establishing feuds that could result in great matches at Hell in a Cell.

There can be interesting results and with the match card almost out there, one hopes to see what difference will the results of these matches make on the road to WrestleMania. Ronda Rousey will defend her title against Former Champion Alexa Bliss, while Braun Strowman will cash-in his Money in the Bank contract against Roman Reigns inside a Cell.

AJ Styles faces off against Samoa Joe in a feud that has gotten really personal, and Randy Orton takes on the enigmatic Jeff Hardy in his bid to remove the latter's name from existence. The Miz and Daniel Bryan's feud that has years in making behind it will see a Tag-Team match where Maryse and Brie Bella will partner with their on-screen and real-life husbands, The Miz and Daniel Bryan.

There is a lot at stake and if WWE is looking for interesting results that might potentially change the match card we have all been predicting for WrestleMania, this is the time. With that being said, Let's take a look at the 5 ways WWE could legitimately surprise us at Hell in a Cell.

#5 Samoa Joe takes the belt home

Samoa Joe is a talented wrestler who hasn't found significant achievement in WWE so far. But the chants of "Joe" always echoes in the arena whenever the big Samoan makes an appearance.

At SummerSlam Joe and AJ Styles gave a breathtaking performance, a match which had to be settled with a no contest, disqualification match for obvious reasons. Now that the feud is heading for the next main event, it's only wise for Samoa Joe to lift the belt once and for all.

#4 The inception of Brother Nero

Quite honestly, I am really looking forward to Randy Orton vs Jeff Hardy happening inside Hell in a Cell. There are a couple of reasons why this feud seems to be far better than any other. Except for the feud between The Miz and Daniel Bryan, all the other feuds have one or the other belt under the cards.

The Miz and Daniel Bryan might have a history between the both of them, but the way how Jeff Hardy and Randy Orton have panned out their feud in the last couple of weeks is really interesting.

Brother Nero could possibly return because Jeff Hardy might need to call his inner demon to fight the vicious Viper, Randy Orton. This seems like a really good possibility where both the wrestlers will be benefitted, and the winner will take nothing more than the wrestler who will lose.

#3 John Cena returns and challenges anybody for a single's match

John Cena has been making a lot of headlines lately. With his new finisher, "The sixth move of Doom," it's hard not to picture the legend back in the ring. A lot has been said about what's left of John Cena's career but the veteran looks more fit than ever to compete inside the ring.

Moved into the category of wrestlers who makes sporadic appearances for the show, Cena could return at Hell in a Cell and challenge anybody for a match. The winner will, of course, be John Cena but the match will ensure the other wrestler will end up getting a great push. Cena has that thing about him, he can make the losing wrestler look good.

#2 The Miz and Maryse gets a clean victory

I am really looking forward to this one and how it pans out. It will be really disappointing if Daniel Bryan comes out victorious. The chances of Daniel Bryan winning this match is very much predictable but the chances of The Miz getting a clean victory against his former student are very low.

This can well be a surprise where the future Hall of Famer could beat Daniel Bryan clean and then talk about it at Miz TV. The Miz has been an integral part of the WWE Universe and has helped many wrestlers grow. The least he deserves is a victory against someone whose return from retirement is seen as the biggest push.

#1 Kurt Angle returns in-ring

Kurt Angle's return to WWE as a performer has been doing rounds ever since he left the duties of General Manager of RAW. There are endless possibilities to who he can feud with. Bobby Lashley, John Cena, Bobby Roode and Baron Corbin, all feel like great Superstars to give the Olympic Champion a run for his return to the ring.

From all the possibilities that are present, it is very much possible that Kurt Angle will take on Baron Corbin. Both the wrestlers have had arguments over who was in charge of making the fights happen when Corbin was serving as the Constable of RAW. It will not be surprising if Kurt Angle makes his return and calls out Baron Corbin for a match.
