What if Kane had never been unmasked?

Kane says hello to an old friend

Kane has gone through a lot of changes through his WWE career. He was once said to be so scarred due to the fire which killed his parents. But once those scars were revealed to be emotional, his mask was eventually taken off to reveal the true monster underneath.

But what if Kane had never taken off his mask? It might have nixed some future stories and made others even more interesting.

Let's take a look at 5 things that might have been different if Kane had never revealed his face.

#5 No Corporate Kane

<p>
Kane did look good in a suit

Corporate Kane was The Authority's best asset in situations where they needed a tough decision made. He was called a lap dog by fans but it might not have been so easy to manipulate Kane if he was still wearing his mask.

We can only imagine Triple H and Stephanie McMahon would have needed to find someone else to do their bidding if they couldn't see Kane's face at the time. But Kane grew his hair out and took on a role with The Authority to participate in plenty of heel antics while doing their bidding.

Then again, Kane wearing a full suit with the mask still on would have still been a pretty intimidating sight. Just imagine your corporate superior donning a Kane mask at your job and telling you he'd like to see you in his office for a chat.

#4 More interesting love stories

Li
Lita loved Kane because she didn't really have a choice

Kane had a go with Terri Runnels and Tori while he was still wearing a mask but after he was unmasked it seemed that a beauty never really loved The Demon again.

It seemed Kane's romantic partnerships with Lita, Kelly Kelly, and AJ Lee were more of a Stockholm Syndrome kind of thing at best. Even though AJ Lee appeared to be into it at least a little bit. Then again, crazy is AJ Lee's superpower after all.

If Kane would have never taken off his mask he might have actually had a better chance with the ladies in the WWE locker room than when he took it off. After all, it's much easier to love someone scary you don't see more than a Demon looking you right in the face or worse, extorting you to love him.

#3 Political Problems

A lot of Kane's popularity in the political arena is the fact that he has a face the citizens of Knox County Tennessee can trust. As he runs for mayor his face is going to be a lot of places because people know what he looks like. He's recognizable because he's Kane.

But if The Devil's Favorite Demon had never taken off his mask, his face value might not have been as great.

In reality, Kane has operated an insurance business in Knoxville, TN, for a number of years and he is a staple of the local community at this point. But a lot fewer people will realize how famous their mayoral candidate is if he wears a mask on television.

#2 The Imposter Kane never happened

The
They only had one real match but we'll never forget it

If Kane hadn't taken off his mask, then it wouldn't have been so shocking to see an Imposter Kane make his debut. Luke Gallows put on Kane's old attire including his mask to battle an unmasked Demon in 2006.

The angle didn't go very far and was scrapped before really taking off. But the two did have a pay-per-view match which the Imposter Kane won. However, the next night on Raw, the real Kane attacked the Imposter backstage, took off the latter's mask and kicked him out of the door.

One of the cooler things about this feud was seeing an updated Kane facing a throwback version of himself. It was like a video game in a sense, but the nostalgia wouldn't have been there if Kane never took off his mask in the first place.

#1 Say goodbye to See No Evil

Ja
Jacob Goodnight didn't need a mask

If you've never seen the See No Evil films and you love a good slasher flick, then you might want to check them out because Kane and WWE Studios joined forces to put out a couple decent horror movies.

Kane starred in the role of Jacob Goodnight which was a nice play on his actual name. The first film was released in 2006 and they produced a sequel seven years later.

But some of the scariest parts of the movies would have been missing if Kane had never taken off his mask. After all, his face was used for plenty of material to promote the films.

There have been lots of on-screen killers who wore masks before. But Kane's facial expressions made it pretty clear no mask was needed in order to scare audiences.
