5 terrible decisions WWE made in the past 10 years

<p>
The WWE

WWE is the biggest wrestling promotion in the world. Many wrestlers want to join WWE and be a part of their roster. WWE might be the biggest wrestling promotion they also do mistakes not other promotion do.

WWE has done a lot of mistakes. That is why they are also disliked by many. Let us talk about 5 mistakes WWE has done in the past 10 years:

#5. Burying The Nexus

Enter ca
Nexus was the most dominant faction in 2010

Back in 2010, NXT was just a game show which featured some selected superstars and the winner was guaranteed a WWE Contract. Some members of NXT who survived Season 1 formed a stable named The Nexus (represented by a logo N). The group featured future WWE stars like Daniel Bryan, Heath Slater, Ryback (then Skip Sheffield), Darren Young, Michael Tarver, Justin Gabriel and Wade Barrett (the leader of the group).

The group started dominating everyone. Beating everyone from superstars like John Cena and Edge to Hall of Famers like Ricky Steamboat and Dusty Rhodes to commentators and ring announcers like Justin Roberts and Jerry Lawyer and even WWE Chairman Vince McMahon. The Nexus was the most dominant faction seen in pro wrestling since the NWO.

A match between The Nexus and Team WWE(led by John Cena) took place at SummerSlam. The original plans were to put Wade Barrett over until Cena interfered in the decision. He wanted to be the sole survivor and eliminate Justin Gabriel and Wade Barrett by himself to end the match. This decision led The Nexus nowhere and fans lost the faith in them.

If John Cena had not changed the finish, we would have seen The Nexus still in WWE as a dominant faction and become a worthy successor of the NWO.

#4. Not giving Chris Jericho a single World Title in 8 years

The Last time we saw Chris Jericho become World Champion

Chris Jericho is one of the best wrestlers to ever step foot inside the squared circle. He has everything that a wrestler requires. He has the charisma, looks, passion, mic skills, and wrestling knowledge that a wrestler needs to become the greatest of all time. He is outstanding as both a heel and a face.

Chris Jericho is a crowd attraction. Every time he shows up, the crowd goes crazy. Still, the fans don't know what Vince thinks, he hasn't given a World Title to Chris Jericho. It was 2010 when we last saw Chris Jericho as World Champion.

The fans don't think Chris Jericho will become a WWE or Universal Champion in WWE. The current IWGP Intercontinental Champion has even left WWE behind and wrestles for other promotions now. We might never see him as a champion in WWE again!

If Jericho returns to WWE and becomes WWE Champion, the crowd will go crazy and would love to see the 'Ayatollah of Rock and Rolla' as champion.

#3. Losing faith in NXT stars on the main roster

Ente
WWE has lost faith in many top NXT stars

NXT turned into a complete brand in 2013. WWE still considers NXT as a developmental territory but has become a brand in itself. The booking led by Triple H has made NXT the A-Show in WWE.

However, things have not turned out as planned for the NXT roster that have been called to the main roster. The former NXT Champions like Finn Balor, Bobby Roode and Neville never got the success they got in NXT. Finn Balor still holds the record for the longest reign as NXT Champion (292 days), but it didn't help him on Raw. Former NXT Women Champions like Sasha Banks, Bayley and Asuka are suffering the same fate. Former NXT Tag Team Champions like The Ascension, Authors of Pain and SaniTY got buried. Former champions like Bo Dallas and Big E are being used in the tag team division.

Fans have criticized WWE's booking. No one knows when WWE will push them. Let us hope Triple H takes over WWE for good and help us with this problem.

#2. Making Brock Lesnar the longest reigning World Champion of the Modern era

Brock Lesnar as Universal Champion

Raw after WrestleMania 28: Brock Lesnar returned to WWE after 8 years. When he returned and hit the F5 on John Cena, he got the loudest ovation on the Raw after WrestleMania in history. Since then, things have changed.

Brock has been on a part-time schedule since he returned to WWE in 2012. He no longer carries the same allure since his return. It is because of his Universal Title reign. Brock Lesnar has been WWE Universal Champion since he beat Goldberg at WrestleMania 33. Due to this title reign, his popularity has decreased.

The fans never wanted a part-time wrestler to break CM Punk's 434-day record. However, Brock Lesnar broke his record and became the longest reigning modern day champion. He is still the WWE Universal Champion and has held the title for more than 500 days.

DId WWE really think that the fans would love Brock Lesnar breaking CM Punk's record? A wrestler who defended his title 10 times in 500 days broke the record of a wrestler who defended his title 141 times.

Stats say everything!!

WWE can do everything, but can't remove CM Punk from history books and will always be remembered for his historic title reign and would not ever be replaced by a part-time champion who came to WWE for money. CM Punk will always be a true champion in the eyes of the fans.

#1. Not letting CM Punk main-event WrestleMania

<p>
CM Punk was ill-treated in the company

CM Punk is one of the biggest names in professional wrestling. The fans still insist that he come back to wrestle. However, due to his treatment in WWE, CM Punk has given up on the idea of ever wrestling again. Still, you can hear chants of "CM Punk" at many WWE events.

CM Punk left WWE in 2014 due to several issues as he was not treated properly in WWE. Most importantly, CM Punk wanted to main-event WrestleMania but was not given the opportunity by Vince McMahon. He came close to main eventing WrestleMania 29, but instead, we saw a repeat of the 'once in a lifetime' match between The Rock and John Cena.

No one really knows what WWE could have done had he stayed with the WWE. And we may never know. Because of his issues with the company, we might never see CM Punk in a WWE ring again.
