Professional wrestling is one of the most unpredictable forms of entertainment out there. The overall setting, wrestlers being categorized as babyfaces and heels, and a string of storylines going on at the same time, provides for quite a unique viewing experience.

The clash between babyfaces and heels is as simple of an angle as Pro-wrestling could ever have, but it sure does give us a bunch of exciting possibilities in the long run. Heel turns lead to the best of friends getting apart, and babyface turns puts them back together. In the list below, we will take a look at five enemies who were at each other's throats for a good while, who then somehow managed to put their differences aside and became the best of friends.

#5 Brock Lesnar and Kurt Angle

The road to WrestleMania 19 kicked off at the Royal Rumble 2003, with Brock Lesnar winning the free-for-all and a shot at the WWE title. Over the next several weeks, Lesnar and Kurt Angle collided on various occasions.

Lesnar was also tricked by Angle in a WWE title match on SmackDown. Additionally, Shelton Benjamin and Charlie Haas being on Angle's side made it that much harder for Lesnar to put Angle down.

At WrestleMania 19, Lesnar defeated Angle in the main event, winning the WWE title in the process. The Superstars embraced in front of a white-hot crowd to end the show. Angle took a short break post-Mania, to deal with his injuries.

When he came back, Angle became Lesnar's best friend and the two of them were shown together in a bunch of hilarious backstage segments. The friendship between these two was well received by the fans, but it didn't last long as Lesnar soon turned heel in his pursuit for the WWE title (which Angle had won back at Vengeance 2003).

#4 Randy Orton and Bray Wyatt

After he lost his SummerSlam 2016 match against Brock Lesnar, Randy Orton kicked off a feud against Bray Wyatt, culminating in a match at No Mercy, which Wyatt won after interference from a returning Luke Harper. Orton and Kane lost a tag team match against Wyatt and Harper on an episode of SmackDown.

The November 1 episode of SmackDown saw Wyatt and Harper helping Orton defeat Kane, with Orton turning heel and aligning with The Wyatt Family. Despite what the family had done to him in the past, Orton managed to forgive them.

The alliance proved to be a hit, as Orton and Wyatt helped Team SmackDown win the Raw vs SmackDown Survivor Series Elimination Match. The duo went on to win the Tag Team titles at TLC. Soon after Orton won the Royal Rumble Match, the alliance came to an end and the two men faced each other at WrestleMania for the WWE Title.

On the road to SummerSlam 2002, Triple H betrayed Shawn Michaels and hit him with a Pedigree, kicking off a legendary rivalry that would lead to a string of memorable matches. Michaels defeated Triple H at SummerSlam in an Unsanctioned Match.

The two went on to compete inside Hell in a Cell, a Last Man Standing Match, and also in the main event of WrestleMania 20. There wasn't any other duo in the company that hated each other to this degree.

In 2006, Mr. McMahon targeted Triple H, which prompted Shawn Michaels to come out and assist him in a Handicap Match against The Spirit Squad. Thus, DX fended off the villains and reformed after a long time to a huge pop. The next few months saw DX feud with The McMahons and their lackeys.

#2 The Shield

When Seth Rollins betrayed Roman Reigns and Dean Ambrose, it came as a shocker to many, as fans were expecting Ambrose to be the one to switch sides. The heel turn helped Rollins become a breakout star and he went on to win the WWE World title at WrestleMania 31.

After tasting betrayal at the hands of Triple H himself, Rollins soon turned babyface and later defeated The Game at WrestleMania 33. The Shield reunited later that year to take on The Miz and The Bar. Over the next two years, the trio had several matches and became the best of friends again, barring a short-lived heel turn by Ambrose.

This rivalry can be dubbed as the biggest one of the PG Era, with Orton and Cena headlining PPVs one after the other, over the WWE title. There was a period in 2009 when these two men competed for the WWE title on four consecutive PPVs: SummerSlam, Breaking Point, Hell in a Cell, and Bragging Rights.

Orton soon separated from Cody Rhodes and Ted Dibiase, and defeated them in a Triple Threat Match at WrestleMania 26. Orton as a face became a huge hit. Cena left WWE for a very short period of time, after helping Orton defeat Wade Barrett at Survivor Series 2010. On the next Raw, as he was leaving the arena, Cena was confronted by Orton, who shook his hand and embraced him in a heartwarming visual.
