5 wrestlers that pooped their pants in the ring

When you realise what you’ve just done...

WWE has no offseason. If you’re ill or you’re not feeling well, there is no phoning in sick. The show must go on! Unfortunately, when you’re travelling the world and eating all sorts of exotic cuisine, there are going to be moments where your belly is not going to be in the greatest state.

To cut to the point, we’re talking diarrhoea. You can’t just stop a match midway through because you have to rush to the toilet' you have to do your best to hold it in. The problem is that when you’re taking high impact moves for 10 minutes, it’s certainly easier said than done.

Needless to say, there have been a few times in wrestling history where a superstar has not had the ultimate bowel control needed to stop this from happening and have had the misfortune to fill their trunks during a match.

I will take you through 5 occasions where this has been the case. I’ll try to keep the language civil for those of you with weak stomachs, but there’s no getting around this subject matter without it sounding a little crude.

Let’s see who made brownies…

#5 Tommy Dreamer

Make sure you go to the bathroom before taking a Henry slam.

Tommy Dreamer is as hardcore and as extreme as they come, but he proved that even the most extreme competitors could have the odd accident. It also didn't help that he was facing the World's Strongest Man, Mark Henry.

Speaking candidly in an interview, Tommy Dreamer explained that he caught a whiff of something untoward when facing Henry following his finisher the World’s Strongest Slam and actually thought Henry had let one go.

It wasn’t until Dreamer went to the back and had a shower that he discovered he was the victim and had soiled himself. Not believing that he had done so, he went to the Doctor who confirmed the slam had literally knocked the stuffing out of him.

That must have been one hell of a slam.

#4 Yokozuna

I do not envy Bret Hart

Ever had a bowl of pea soup? You probably won’t have another after this slide.

During a tour of India, Yokozuna was suffering from what can only be described as explosive diarrhoea. He was competing in a match against Bret Hart, and as he went up for his famous Banzai Drop, Bret saw in the corner of his eye what he said in an interview looked like “a bowl of pea soup”.

Something had put a road right through the Samoan and he dyed those pink pants green. Luckily, Bret, who was supposed to take the move, took off like Road Runner and got out of the way before Yokozuna reinvented the meaning of the word stinkface.

It was the mat of the wrestling ring that took the impact and Yokozuna…let’s say he marked his territory that night.

#3 John Cena

At least he can laugh about it now.

That’s right, the 16-time World Champion has also pooped himself during a match against Scott Steiner at a live event in 2002. It just goes to show, no matter how popular you are, no matter how many championships you win, no-one is immune to the runs.

Let’s put it this way. You wouldn’t have wanted to be the ring technician on this particular night as John Cena decided not to embarrass himself in front of a sell-out crowd at a house show and went under the ring for quick relief. Leaving a present for the guys that put away the ring is completely disgusting, yet completely unavoidable.

Cena had food poisoning, and though the location and date of the incident remains up in the air due to multiple different accounts, he has confirmed it did happen in these interviews. Furthermore, he also told the story on an episode of Total Divas.

#2 Steve Austin

Don’t drink the water...

Yokozuna is involved again in this story but luckily it wasn’t him to fall victim to a weak bowel on this occasion, it was the Texas Rattlesnake.

The then WWF were on a tour of South Africa before the large heights that Stone Cold Steve Austin reached. In an interview, Austin confirmed the following story to be true. When Yoko went for a slam, he did what Mark Henry did to Tommy Dreamer earlier in the article and literally slammed the stuffing out of him.

According to Austin, it wasn’t a full log but just a little splatter. He signalled to Yokozuna to bring the match home, and he rushed to the showers to clean himself up.

And that’s the bottom line, ‘cos Stone Cold said so.

#1 CM Punk

Can you smell something?

CM Punk’s podcast with Colt Cabana has gone down in infamy for creating further bad blood between WWE and Punk due to his allegations directed towards the Doctors working there. However, there was a story in that podcast that was even juicier for lack of a better term.

Punk had a sensitive stomach because he had taken so many anitbiotics or Z-Paks, but he was still expected to work a match with Dean Ambrose that night on SmackDown. This was back when the B-Show was actually pre-taped too, so he got away with one really as he spurted brown water into his trunks during the match with the Lunatic Fringe.

According to Punk, everyone laughed at him backstage and found it hilarious. He then tweeted about the incident but swore in said tweet. WWE management were not happy, so he changed the tweet and blocked them!

Some might say he lost his sh…well…temper.
