Shane McMahon's WWE career as an in-ring performer kicked off way back during the Attitude Era. His first match was against WWE Hall of Famer Mankind on an episode of WWE RAW in 1998, which ended with a DQ win for the latter.

Over the course of the next several years, Shane was an integral part of major WWE storylines. The most significant one out of these was the WWE vs Alliance angle in 2001, which saw Shane and Stephanie go head to head with their father, Vince McMahon.

Shane has wrestled several matches throughout his WWE career. He has never won a World title, but has won the Hardcore Championship, the European Championship, and the WWE SmackDown Tag Team Championship.

Interestingly, Shane has defeated several Superstars, some of them being legit in-ring legends. Let's take a look at five WWE megastars Shane McMahon has beaten.

#5 Mankind

Although Shane lost his very first WWE match to Mankind, that record changed as time passed. Shane and Mankind met again on an episode of SmackDown on August 24, 1999. The match was held amidst pure chaos, as The Mean Street Posse, Test, Triple H, and Chyna all interfered at different points during the match.

The attack by Mean Street Posse was met with retaliation by Test, with Stephanie McMahon aiding him to fend off the villains.

As the match progressed, Chyna came out and distracted the referee, giving Triple H enough time to hit Mankind with a devastating chair shot to the leg. This was enough for Shane to score a pin over Mankind and bag a huge win. Triple H and Chyna carried a semi-conscious Shane to the back, after one of the biggest victories of his career.

#4 The Big Show

The list of Big Show's accomplishments is a long one. He has won the WWE, WCW, and ECW World titles, and was a major attraction during his prime.

Shane McMahon and The Big Show squared off against each other on multiple occasions in the early 2000s. On the road to WrestleMania 16, Shane McMahon and The Big Show were a team and McMahon accompanied the giant to the ring in the main event of the show. Soon after, the two split and feuded with each other.

#3 Stone Cold Steve Austin

Shane McMahon's father Mr. McMahon was at odds with Stone Cold Steve Austin throughout his WWE in-ring career. This was the rivalry that helped WWE trump WCW during the Monday Night Wars.

During the early stages of this legendary feud, Shane and Vince teamed up to face Stone Cold Steve Austin in a Ladder Match at King of the Ring 1999, with the control of WWE on the line.

During the closing moments of the match, Shane dropped the ladder on the mat, with Austin and Vince still on top of it. This gave him enough time to grab the briefcase and win the match for his team.

#2 Shawn Michaels

The first half of 2006 saw Mr. McMahon and Shane McMahon take on Shawn Michaels on various occasions, trying to destroy the future Hall of Famer in any manner possible. At WrestleMania 22, Shawn Michaels defeated Vince in a bloody brawl.

Several weeks before the event though, Shane managed to bag two straight victories over the Heartbreak Kid.
