Welcome to the second edition of this new monthly feature of WWE rumors that didn't come true this month. The month of June was a very happening one for WWE as well as the entire pro wrestling business. We saw WWE remove a top personality from the Executive Director's position, amidst their battle with COVID-19, which has, unfortunately, hit its employees and talents.

The rumor-mill was extremely busy as well, and while most of the reported rumors did come true, there were a few that didn't see the light of day. Plans change on the go in WWE and with all the issues faced by the creative team and the management, not every rumor ended up becoming news.

So, without any further ado, let's take a look at the five WWE rumors that didn't come true in June 2020. Keep in mind that some of these might turn out to be true in the coming months or weeks, but as of this month, none of these did. Be sure to comment down and let me know the impact these could have had on the storylines.

#5 Paul Heyman managing another WWE Superstar

One of the biggest and the most shocking news of this month was WWE removing Paul Heyman from his position as the Executive Director of Monday Night RAW. While the shows led by Bruce Prichard following Heyman's departure have been promising, there are many young WWE Superstars who might suffer from this change in control.

WWE mentioned that Paul Heyman would be focusing on his on-screen role. This led to the rumors that WWE could give him another Superstar to manage, other than Brock Lesnar.

There have been suggestions for a while that Paul Heyman is someone that they could have acting as an advocate or manager of some other members of the roster.
However, thus far, because of the distractions of the Executive Director role that is not something that has come to fruition. That may be part of the thinking here and one of the reasons that it was mentioned that he would be focussing on his in-ring career, even though Paul Heyman, as we know, very rarely wrestles.

While it would be an interesting opportunity for some young talent to become a Paul Heyman guy, nothing of that sort happened on WWE programming this month. With Lesnar rumored to return in time for SummerSlam, it looks unlikely that Heyman will get himself a new client.

#4 Dominik to turn heel on his father and WWE legend, Rey Mysterio

One of the biggest storylines currently on WWE RAW is the Monday Night Messiah, Seth Rollins, and his disciples being on odds with Rey Mysterio and his son Dominik. After some massive teases about his in-ring debut last year, Dominik looks set to team-up with his father soon, maybe as soon as the upcoming Extreme Rules PPV.

Seth Rollins appeared on RAW Talk a few weeks ago and hinted towards adding Dominik to his stable and making him turn on his father.

"I've seen him make his way between these ropes. I've seen what he is capable of. There is a bright future awaiting Dominik, and I know just the person who could lead him to that future."

There have been rumors of Dominik turning on his father ever since Mysterio's retirement was teased last year. And while it did not come true this month, WWE might as well book a heel turn for Dominik in the near future and make him retire his father and establish himself as a top WWE Superstar.

#3 Chelsea Green and Dominik Dijakovic joining the WWE main roster

The month of June saw a massive main roster debut as Matt Riddle left NXT and joined Friday Night SmackDown. But The Original Bro wasn't the only rumored NXT Superstar to join the main roster as Chelsea Green and Dominik Dijakovic were also reportedly set to be the next two Superstars to come to WWE's main roster.

While there was no confirmation on which brand Chelsea Green would join, Dominik Dijakovic was rumored to join Monday Night RAW. The NXT Superstar even teased an alliance with Seth Rollins by posting a picture of the Monday Night Messiah on his Twitter account.

Well, none of these two joined the main roster this month, hence this makes it to this list. While these two would surely strengthen the roster of RAW and SmackDown, there is always a chance of them being lost in the mix if WWE doesn't put them in some prominent storylines.

There haven't been many NXT call-ups this year and with the Black and Gold brand's roster increasing in size every day, it might be a wise decision to move Chelsea and Dominik to the WWE main roster.

#2 Bobby Lashley to defeat Drew McIntyre for the WWE Championship

Earlier this month, we saw WWE Champion Drew McIntyre defend his title against Bobby Lashley at WWE Backlash. Speculation started doing rounds that Lashley might walk out as the new WWE Champion after his feud with the Scottish Psychopath.

There is a large amount of speculation at the moment that Bobby Lashley may be coming out of his feud with Drew McIntyre as the new WWE Champion. This is something that I won't be totally against seeing. Drew McIntyre as a face is very good chasing a Championship. Also, he has defeated a lot of the RAW roster. The Brand vs. Brand invitational may be essential just to keep him with opponents for a while, and that's probably one of the reasons why we've seen Baron Corbin so far really use it in the men's division.

But this rumor didn't come true as Drew McIntyre defeated Bobby Lashley at WWE Backlash, even though the latter gave him a tough fight. The feud also looks to be done as the WWE Champion is set to defend his title against Dolph Ziggler at WWE Extreme Rules, while Lashley will likely be challenging for the US title, currently held by Apollo Crews.

#1 Seth Rollins looking to add more Superstars to his WWE faction

Seth Rollins has been doing an amazing job on RAW as the Monday Night Messiah, cutting some intense promos, having top-class matches, while also helping younger WWE Superstars like Murphy and Austin Theory get a prominent spot on the show as his disciples.

As per a rumor last month, Seth Rollins wanted more members for his faction and has also pitched a list of Superstars to the WWE management who can join him next.

Seth has pitched quite a few names, and at this point, it's essentially up to Paul Heyman. He wants to bring in someone new, quite fresh, and help them develop. It could even be someone like Humberto Carrillo, of course, to really help him develop. But there are quite a few people. He's very proud of what he's been able to accomplish. I certainly would be too, and I would laugh so hard if it ends up being Roman Reigns.

While we didn't see this rumor come true this month as the Monday Night Messiah didn't recruit anyone else, it might still happen very soon. Rollins is at a numbers' disadvantage with him and his two disciples going up against Rey, Dominik, Aleister Black, and Humberto Carrillo on WWE RAW. Will we see him take another Superstar under his wing? If yes, who?
