Survivor Series is scheduled to take place on Nov. 22 at the Amway Center in Orlando, Florida. As has been the norm in recent years, the event will be based around brand warfare as Superstars from RAW and SmackDown battle for supremacy. Also, the show will celebrate the 30th anniversary of The Undertaker's debut. The Phenom will appear at Survivor Series along with several other legends.

WWE Champion, Randy Orton, will take on Universal Champion Roman Reigns. United States Champion, Bobby Lashley, will battle Intercontinental Champion Sami Zayn. RAW Tag-Team Champions, The New Day, are set to collide with SmackDown Tag-Team Champions, The Street Profits. RAW Women's Champion, Asuka, will face SmackDown Women's Champion, Sasha Banks. The top Superstars from each brand from both divisions will also face for in traditional Survivor Series Elimination atches.

As WWE's roster is star-studded and the show cannot run for more than four hours, several WWE stars will miss Survivor Series. The crowd will announce more matches in the coming week, specifically last-minute additions to the kickoff show and the rumored showdown between The Fiend and Drew McIntyre.

But, a handful of talented Superstars will probably sit out Survivor Series.

#5 Otis could miss Survivor Series

Heavy Machinery was randomly split-up
Heavy Machinery was randomly split-up

WWE chose to randomly split Heavy Machinery, a popular act, during the WWE Draft. Tucker moved to RAW while Otis remained on SmackDown. Not only was the move ill-advised, but it drew the ire of their fanbase. To make matters worse, Otis lost the Money in the Bank contract to The Miz at Hell in a Cell with outside interference from Otis's best friend, Tucker. Tucker's heel turn was a surprise, but not a very welcome one.

Since Hell in a Cell, the two former friends have virtually become non-factors. Tucker's heel turn proved insignificant rather quickly as it became evident that WWE didn't have any immediate or long-term plans for him. On the other hand, Otis continued to perform on the midcard on SmackDown.

The former Money in the Bank contract holder lost a Survivor Series qualifying match to Seth Rollins with some assistance from Murphy. The defeat was devastating for Otis as he would have been an invaluable addition to the SmackDown team.

WWE seemingly has no idea what to do with Otis or Tucker. Otis made this list because he was Mr. Money in the Bank a month ago. Therefore, it's disappointing that Otis will miss Survivor Series.

#4 The Miz could miss Survivor Series

Will Mr.Money in the Bank cash-in at Survivor Series?
Will Mr.Money in the Bank cash-in at Survivor Series?

Within two months, The Miz has risen up the ranks to become one of the top contenders for the WWE Championship. The Awesome One won the Money in the Bank briefcase from Otis last month at Hell in a Cell. Now, he has the exclusive opportunity to cash-in his briefcase at any time, at any place without notice. The Miz could become WWE Champion sooner rather than later, and Survivor Series could be the night he cashes in.

As of now, The Miz isn't scheduled to compete at Survivor Series, and it's unlikely that he will. Still, that is what adds to the excitement. Granted, The Miz is too talented to be left off a mega-show like Survivor Series, but if he cashes in the contract at Survivor Series, it would be a game-changing, must-see moment. The fact that The Miz won't be competing at Survivor Series adds to the likelihood that he can cash-in successfully at the event.

The Miz will probably be involved in a backstage segment, but a wrestling match is rather unlikely.

#3 Big E surprisingly isn't on Team Smackdown for Survivor Series

Big E is not scheduled to compete at Survivor Series.

WWE tragically split up The New Day last month as part of the draft. Big E remained on SmackDown, while Kofi Kingston and Xavier Woods moved to RAW. Many fans expected Big E to be the biggest benefactor of this trade, but that has not proven to be the case thus far. In the last month or so, Big E has become an afterthought, which is part of the reason why he won't be competing at Survivor Series.

He has been on TV much. He last competed in The New Day's farewell match against Sheamus, Cesaro, and Shinsuke Nakamura. Recent reports claim that WWE had no plans for Big E on SmackDown.

Big E had a decent singles run on SmackDown, but his push has cooled down a bit after the draft in October. The former Intercontinental Champion should have been a member of Team SmackDown for Survivor Series, but he hasn't even competed in a qualifying match yet. One spot is still up for grabs, and it should go to Big E, who has expressed his loyalty to the blue brand countless times in the past. SmackDown would benefit from having someone like Big E on their team at Survivor Series.

#2 Rey Mysterio won't compete at Survivor Series

The Master of the 619 recently capped off his deeply personal rivalry with SmackDown's Savior, Seth Rollins, with a huge victory. Rollins and Rey Mysterio had gone to war for months, but Mysterio that got the final laugh on SmackDown this week when he defeated The Architect in a No Holds Barred match to close the chapter.

Rollins earned a spot on Team SmackDown after he won a match against Otis to compete at Survivor Series. On the other hand, the masked luchador lost his qualifying match to King Corbin. Hence, he isn't scheduled to compete at Survivor Series.

Mysterio's family endured a lot of pain during their program with Rollins and Murphy. Murphy's romantic angle with Aalyah Mysterio has garnered a lot of interest, so fans can expect that continue for some time. Rey Mysterio doesn't have an opponent for the time being. Moreover, Survivor Series is a week away. Thus there isn't enough time to build towards a match involving Mysterio at Survivor Series.

The Mysterio Family could be involved in some fashion at Survivor Series, probably in a backstage segment.

#1 Lars Sullivan may not appear at Survivor Series

Lars Sullivan is a monster.
Lars Sullivan is a monster.

"The Freak" Lars Sullivan returned to the ring after an eighteen-month lay-off in early October. He picked up right where he left off, immediately running through the lower-tier of the SmackDown roster.

The Freak defeated Jeff Hardy in his final match on SmackDown. He also made quick work of a fired-up and resilient Chad Gable, who was formerly known as Shorty G. He has taken part in backstage interviews since then. However, he hasn't been selected as a member of SmackDown's team for Survivor Series. He hasn't even received an opportunity to earn a spot on the team.

Sullivan doesn't strike the casual fan as a team player from a storyline perspective, but RAW's team is filled with similar characters. The team members never get along at Survivor Series, which is all part of what makes the event so entertaining.

RAW has giants in Keith Lee, Sheamus, and Braun Strowman. SmackDown has Jey Uso, Kevin Owens, Seth Rollins, and King Corbin. SmackDown needs one more heavyweight to tip the scales in their favor. Lars Sullivan would be a huge addition to the SmackDown team for Survivor Series.

Lars Sullivan shouldn't miss Survivor Series. He doesn't necessarily have to compete for Team SmackDown. He could have a squash match on the kickoff show.
