5 WWE Superstars who could improve the Cruiserweight division

Kalisto would make an amazing addition to 205 Live

WWE's Cruiserweight division has plenty of talented Superstars who can put on five-star matches under the right circumstances, but 205 Live is lacking in star power.

The top stars of the division are Neville, Austin Aries, TJ Perkins and Rich Swann, none of whom could be called main event-level Superstars. They need someone with a little name recognition to bring more eyes to the product.

Today's wrestling fans are more fickle than they used to be. Raw talent often isn't enough to make someone want to watch another hour of wrestling on Tuesday nights.

Having one or two former world champions mingle with the Cruiserweights for a period of time would create interest in the product, which would, in turn, give the rest of the division a chance to impress new viewers.

This slideshow will look at five Superstars from Raw and SmackDown who would make valuable additions to the 205 Live roster.

#5 Tyler Breeze

Tyler Breeze might not be the biggest name on the SmackDown roster, but he has a large fanbase of people who have been following his career since his days in NXT.

The Fashion Police gimmick only recently began to take off with a Law & Order parody, but one good segment doesn't mean the character can last forever, especially in today's environment.

Breeze, once he is done with Fandango, should move to the cruiserweight division where his talents will be more appreciated than they have been on SmackDown since he was drafted.

Prince Pretty had a great gimmick before he was put with Fandango, and his charisma would help add some variety to the group of characters establishing themselves on 205 Live.

#4 Enzo Amore

Tag teams don't last forever, especially these days. Enzo and Cass are as entertaining as anyone else in the company when they are allowed to do what they want, but eventually, Big Cass is going to get a singles push.

Enzo is the stronger of the two on the mic, and having him transition into the cruiserweight division would be easy once he and Colin Cassady go their separate ways.

Watching him rip the division to shreds with his promos would make 205 Live a lot more fun, and his antagonistic personality would make for some great storylines with heels and babyfaces alike.

The move would also benefit Enzo in many ways. He isn't the most technically sound wrestler in the world, and working with people on the level of a Kendrick or a Neville might make him a better performer.

#3 Sin Cara

Sin Cara should have been part of the cruiserweight division from the start and considering that WWE clearly has nothing for him right now, moving him to 205 Live is the best thing for everyone.

Sin Cara is an established name in WWE. Young fans love his gimmick and people recognise his signature mask as soon as they see it. That recognition alone would be beneficial.

A possible use for him would be forming a stable that comprises of all the masked luchadors in the division. Sin Cara could lead Gran Metalik and Lince Dorado to dominate the landscape of 205 Live. WWE could even have two of them compete in the tag team division while one focuses on the cruiserweight title to make the group a bigger part of Raw.

Sin Cara is a talented performer who has been given the short end of the stick for a long time because of the issues with the original wrestlers who performed under the mask, but under the right circumstances, he could be salvaged and turned into a top cruiserweight.

#2 Kalisto

Like Sin Cara, Kalisto should have been part of the cruiserweight division from the beginning, but for some unknown reason, WWE decided to have him pursue the US title instead.

He has one of the most exciting arsenals in all of WWE, and against someone of similar size, he could put on quite the entertaining match. He has been able to have good bouts against guys twice his size, so just imagine what he is capable of against someone who can do the same things he can.

Having already been a champion in the WWE, Kalisto would have an edge over the majority of the 205 Live roster. He would be one of the biggest stars in the division from the moment he made the transition.

WWE already moved him to Raw during the draft, so there is no logical reason not to add him to the cruiserweight division.

#1 Finn Balor

While it's unlikely that the WWE would move one of Raw's top stars into the cruiserweight division, there's no denying the value Finn Balor would add to 205 Live. His popularity with fans would definitely bring some new viewers to the show, and his ability in the ring is up there with the best high-flyers on the roster.

His Demon persona would be completely different from what everyone else is doing on 205 Live, but it's his weekly character that would add a dose of cool to the show.

Balor could steal the show at any pay-per-view with the likes of Austin Aries, Neville and The Brian Kendrick, and his veteran experience could help guide some of the younger competitors in the locker room.

The 205 Live roster has an uphill battle ahead of itself, and adding a few recognisable and popular Superstars to the mix could turn things around for the struggling WWE Network show.
