5 WWE Superstars who were fired because of bad attitude

The WWE Universe was shocked to find out that WWE has released Big Cass from his contract on Tuesday. WWE issued a statement on their website regarding Cass' release from the company and didn't even wish him luck in his future endeavors which added more fuel to the fire.

The reason behind Cass' release is said to be "personal conduct issues" during WWE's recent European tour, and rumors quote he had some issues with a higher official in the WWE.

He was also reported to be very touchy backstage at money in the bank regarding his booking to lose to Daniel Bryan once again. Vince McMahon had allegedly called for a meeting before SmackDown Live and fired Cass directly.

Cass' release is not the first occurrence of a superstar getting fired from the WWE for bad behavior. Let's look at five instances where superstars who are currently employed by the WWE got fired for having a bad attitude.

#5 Matt Hardy

Matt was shown the door after this incident

In 2005 Matt Hardy found out that his longtime girlfriend Lita had been cheating on him with fellow WWE superstar Edge. The elder Hardy brother reacted like any typical guy whose girlfriend just got stolen.

Hardy publicly revealed the relationship online by posting various blogs and videos in which he had spoken out his mind about his ex-girlfriend and her new lover.

Though this is normal coming from a person who had a bad relationship, things did not go too well for Hardy as the persons he was talking about were future WWE Hall of Famers.

Hardy could've dealt with this issue personally, but he chose to make things public, and Vince McMahon didn't take that too kindly.

WWE released Hardy shortly after the incident and brought him back after some time to capitalise on the publicity and to begin a feud with Edge.

A decade later, Hardy is now happily Married to his wife Reby Sky, and the couple has two children together. He is back with the WWE, and things are going great for the elder Hardy brother.

#4 Brian Kendrick

Kendrick took things to bad levels.

Brian Kendrick and Paul London were one of the entertaining tag teams in the WWE throughout 2005 to 2008.

The duo was separated after Kendrick got drafted to SmackDown in 2008 and WWE repackaged him as "The Brian Kendrick" and they even gave him a bodyguard in Ezekiel Jackson and it was clear the company had big plans for him.

But Kendrick would take the success to his head and adapted his on-screen character in real life. He was allegedly disrespecting veterans, arriving late for the events and even smoked weed on the hallways.

WWE didn't tolerate his behavior and released him from his contract in July 2009. He returned to the company in 2016 as a part of the "Cruiserweight Classic" tournament and is a part of 205 Live from that point forward.

#3 Jeff Hardy

Jeff had his difficulties with his drug addiction.

Jeff Hardy's inability to keep himself clean from drugs has always caused trouble for him in his career. We cannot forget the time he wrestled under the influence in a match against Sting in TNA.

In 2003 Hardy went too far with his addictions, and it resulted in him getting fired by the WWE. He was on the receiving end of a big push and even had an outstanding match against the Undertaker for the WWE Championship.

Hardy was allegedly no-showing events, forgetting critical spots during the matches and alienated anyone who tried to help him.

WWE had no other choice but to let him go, and have him take some time to rehabilitate from his addictions. He came back to the company after this and had a triumphant run before departing once again.

Jeff along with his brother Matt returned to the WWE once again at WrestleMania 33 and is now the reigning United States Champion.

#2 The Ultimate Warrior

The late legend didn't have a great relationship with the company.

Vince McMahon did all he could to push the late Ultimate Warrior as one of the greatest stars in the business. However, Warrior didn't reciprocate McMahon's respect and would frequently demand higher pay for his appearances.

He crossed the line when he threatened to no-show SummerSlam 1991 if the company didn't pay him more than half a million dollars for his work at WrestleMania VII.

McMahon had no other choice but to pay the money to Warrior to make sure that SummerSlam didn't get derailed due to the issue. WWE suspended Warrior promptly after the incident and refused to work with him which resulted in Warrior released from the company in1996.

Time heals many wounds and the Ultimate Warrior, and WWE decided to let bygones be bygones, and he got inducted into the WWE Hall of Fame in 2014. Warrior appeared at WrestleMania 30 and on the following episode of Raw which turned out to be his last public appearance as he passed away the next day due to a heart attack.

WWE immortalized Warrior by giving out an award in his honor during the Hall of Fame to persons as per the WWE to have "exhibited unwavering strength and perseverance, and who lives life with the courage and compassion that embodies the indomitable spirit of the Ultimate Warrior."

#1 Shawn Michaels

Michaels gave WWE a very hard time!

Shawn Michaels was a promising young talent when the WWE signed him along with Marty Jannetty in 1987. The future Hall of Famer, unfortunately, got on the nerves of Vince McMahon due to his excessive partying.

Michaels and Jannetty indulged themselves in alcohol, drugs, and women to the point where the company had no choice but to let them go. McMahon viewed Michaels and Jannetty as superstars with high potential, but they were squandering their talents with their over the top partying.

The company rehired them a year later, and Michaels went on to have a decorated career and is in his right place at the WWE Hall of Fame.
