Despite currently being inactive from in-ring competition, former WWE United States Champion Samoa Joe was physically involved in an altercation with the menacing trio of Seth Rollins & AOP, as seen on this week's episode of RAW.

Having suffered a broken thumb several weeks ago, Joe has been making sporadic appearances on RAW, working as a temporary commentator for the Red brand, and this past Monday night in the closing segment, the former US Champion was put through a table by AOP following orders from their leader Rollins.

With The Architect, Akam, and Rezar running roughshod through the RAW roster, it now remains to be seen how WWE could plan out Joe acquiring retribution against the trio in the coming weeks.

However, the numbers game is certainly against the former US Champion, and to get revenge, Joe would need a few allies. In this article, we present 5 potential tag teams that could team up with Samoa Joe to take on the team of Rollins and AOP.

#5 Kevin Owens and Rey Mysterio

AOP and Rollins have been beating up Rey Mysterio and Kevin Owens for weeks now

As always, I start my list with the obvious choice. On this week's episode of Monday Night RAW, Seth Rollins' US Championship match against Rey Mysterio ended via disqualification when AOP attacked the latter and gave Mysterio a classic beatdown in the closing stages of RAW.

Similarly, earlier in the show, the trio of Rollins & AOP brutalized Kevin Owens once again, and then ended the show by putting Samoa Joe through the commentary desk.

Having attacked three of RAW's top stars on the same night, it only makes sense for Joe to recruit Owens and Mysterio to fight alongside him in his feud against the former WWE Universal Champion and AOP.

#4 Oney Lorcan and Danny Burch

In my opinion, Oney Lorcan and Danny Burch are two of NXT's most-underrated Superstars right now and despite being amazing singles competitors, the two men are often overlooked as a tag team.

Throughout their tenure in the Black & Gold brand, Lorcan and Burch have had some amazing tag matches against The Undisputed Era, taking the likes of Bobby Fish and Kyle O'Reilly to their limits in NXT Tag Team Championship matches.

With the RAW roster currently in need of tag teams, as the division lacks depth, bringing up Lorcan and Burch to the main roster seems like a viable option. They are more than capable of competing as singles and would add depth to the singles division as well as the tag team division.

Being two of NXT's hard-hitting and stiffest workers, having Burch and Lorcan go toe-to-toe with AOP would result in a tag team classic.

#3 Mark Andrews and Flash Morgan Webster

The pairing of Mark Andrews and Flash Morgan Webster has taken the NXT UK Tag Team Division by storm for the past few months. The duo also captured the NXT UK Tag Team Championships by defeating James Drake and Zack Gibson at NXT TakeOver: Cardiff, earlier this year.

However, before their tag-team dominance in NXT UK, Andrews and Webster had occasionally also competed on the WWE main roster as singles competitors.

As seen on a recent edition of RAW in November, Andrews and Webster showed up to the Red brand and went toe-to-toe with current RAW Tag Team Champions, The Viking Raiders, and despite the loss, it was a pretty valiant effort from the former.

Having Andrews and Webster permanently come up to the main roster in Samoa Joe's aid would present the duo with the perfect platform for making a name for themselves, and much like Burch and Lorcan, both Andrews and Webster are also tremendous singles competitors.

#2 The Street Profits

It's safe to say that The Street Profits are certainly the most charismatic and energetic tag team in all of WWE at the moment, and they have been doing some amazing things on Monday Night RAW.

However, the pairing of Montez Ford and Angelo Dawkins hasn't been used to the fullest when it comes to in-ring performances.

The duo have had a few memorable matches on the main roster, however, The Street Profits are yet to have a notable feud on RAW. Therefore, with Samoa Joe in need of allies, the former US Champion should turn his attention towards Ford and Dawkins for assistance.

With Joe keeping himself busy against Seth Rollins, having The Street Profits go at it against AOP in several matches (maybe even on pay-per-view) would certainly help both the tag teams and the tag division overall.

#1 The Usos

It certainly has been a while since we've seen The Usos compete on the main roster, and ever since Jimmy Uso's arrest for DUI, the former SmackDown Live Tag Team Champions have been completely written off TV.

However, heading into 2020, this would seem like the perfect occasion and storyline for WWE to bring back The Usos and have them pair-up with Samoa Joe. In doing so, not only do we get to see a few six-man tag matches featuring Joe & The Usos against Rollins & AOP, but a long-term feud between The Usos and AOP also seems like an entertaining prospect.

Nevertheless, teaming up with Joe or not, the year 2020 should once again be the year of The Usos if WWE hopes to rebuild the tag team division, and if they hope to build either the former SmackDown Tag Champions or AOP as credible threats to The Viking Raiders' RAW Tag Team Titles.
