Being young didn't stop these Superstars from being a champion in WWE

A lot of WWE Superstars spend their entire career battling to achieve greatness, while others find out that they are born with greatness within them. And when that opportunity finally comes knocking, they must respond - whether or not they are ready to face the challenge.

That's what makes bearing witness to a young wrestler achieving Championship success fascinating. These performers are often no match for their opponent, but when they do the unthinkable by slaying the giant and taking the gold, it's always a welcome sight that creates a special moment for both the wrestler and for the WWE Universe.

The Superstars on this list have proven that anyone -- even a primary school learner -- can take down a challenger who underestimates them. They have made history and carried the gold with them as well.

So who exactly are these guys? Read on to discover the five youngest Superstars to ever win championship gold in WWE.

Hornswoggle, one of the biggest little men in WWE, became the youngest WWE Cruiserweight Champion ever when he won the title at The Great American Bash PPV in 2007. He defeated five other competitors to capture the title, which was controversial, to say the least.

The former Anonymous Raw GM left his opponents to battle it out in the ring before emerging from underneath the ring to hit his Tadpole Splash on Jamie Noble, scoring the win. However, none of the competitors were aware that he was in the match, but Hornswoggle was recognized as a legitimate champion at the age of 21.

Former WWE Superstar Kenny Dykstra first stepped in the ring at the age of 15. He was a standout trainee of WWE Hall of Famer Killer Kowalski's school (the same school that taught Triple H). He signed with WWE when he was just 18 years old and made his main roster debut for the company when he was 19.

For those who don't remember Dykstra, he was one of the members of The Spirit Squad. Kenny and his compatriot Mikey pulled up the ultimate upset when they defeated the team of Big Show and Kane to capture the World Tag Team Titles. Kenny won the title just 18 days after he turned 20.

Tyler Bate took part in a tournament to crown the inaugural WWE United Kingdom Champion. Bate strode into the tournament with an easygoing attitude. He eventually won the tournament by defeating The Bruiserweight Pete Dunne to win the title at the age of 19.

He is the youngest person to win the title since its inception. Bate successfully defended the title multiple times but eventually lost it to Pete Dunne a couple of months later.

Former WWE Superstar, and one half of La Resistance, René Duprée was just 19 years old when he won the WWE World Tag Team Titles alongside his partner Sylvain Grenier for the first time in 2003. This made him the first teenager to ever hold a championship in WWE history.

The following year, Duprée once again captured the World Tag Team Championship, but this time alongside another wrestler, Kenzo Suzuki, when he was just 20 years old.

The former tag team champ is now wrestling in Singapore.

#1. Nicholas - Raw Tag Team Champion (10 years old)

And last, but not least, we have Nicholas, the ten-year-old boy who had the best time any kid could ever ask for when he teamed up with "The Monster Among Men", Braun Strowman, of all people, to win the Raw Tag Team Titles -- and in front of thousands of people at WrestleMania 34.

Nicholas was "randomly" recruited from the crowd as Strowman's mystery partner for his tag team match against Cesaro & Sheamus. Strowman did all the work in the ring, while Nicholas stood on the apron and watched the action unfold in 4K. Strowman and Nicholas won the match though, making the 10-year-old the youngest person to ever win a title in WWE history.

They would have to relinquish the belts the next night on Raw, however, as the team wouldn't be able to regularly defend them due to previous obligations. Or, as Braun put it, he "had school."
