5 youngest WWE Champions of all time

Throughout the history of WWE, there has been no prize, no accolade more sought after, than the WWE Championship.

Currently held by Daniel Bryan, who recently revealed his own unique design of the title, the WWE Championship has been held by some of the all-time greats and has undergone some radical changes.

From Bret Hart to John Cena, from Randy Savage to Jeff Hardy, each champion has added to the title's rich history.

But there are some WWE Superstars, who did not waste time in reaching for the coveted title, and whilst they may have grown up hoping to one day become WWE Champion, they certainly did not have to wait for long.

Here are the five youngest WWE Champions of all time, and their journey's to the top of the food-chain.

#5 Randy Orton (27 years old)

The Legend Killer became a two-time WWE Champion on the very same night in 2007.

Randy Orton may be the youngest World Heavyweight Champion, winning the title at the tender age of 24, but it would be three long years before the Legend Killer would hold the WWE Championship.

We say hold instead of win, as at No Mercy 2007, Orton was literally handed the WWE title by Vince McMahon, who had stripped it from John Cena due to an injury.

Now at a new level of confidence, Orton would even put his newly-acquired title on the line against Triple H, a cocky plan that backfired for the Viper, who lost the title mere minutes into his reign.

Fortunately for Orton, he would regain the title later that same night, defeating the Game, who had successfully defended his WWE championship during the show against the Samoan Bulldozer, Umaga.

#4 The Undertaker (26 years, 8 months, 3 days old)

The Deadman defeated Hulk Hogan to become WWF Champion.

At Survivor Series 1990, a new presence entered the WWE, a mystery man dressed in black, who would change the industry forever.

Entering as part of the Million Dollar Team, The Undertaker would spend his first year destroying everyone in his path, eventually finding his way to then-WWF Champion, Hulk Hogan.

Meeting at Survivor Series 1991, the 26-year-old Deadman would defeat Hogan, with a bit of an assist from Ric Flair and a steel chair.

A shocking win, the Deadman's reign would sadly not last long, as he would lose the title mere days later at This Tuesday in Texas.

With both the Deadman's win, and Hogan's win both happening under controversial circumstances, the title was later vacated, and it would be six years before the Phenom would again taste the gold.

#3 The Rock (26 years, 6 months, 14 days old)

The Rock turned his back on the people to become WWF Champion.

The WWE love having controversial title changes at Survivor Series, and five years after the Deadman's huge win, the company saw the crowning of a new champion, a Corporate Champion.

After the title had been vacated, Survivor Series 1998 had a Deadly Games Tournament, a single-round elimination tournament to crown a new champion.

Whilst Mankind was assisted all the way to the finals by Vince McMahon, the sentimental favorite was The Rock, who represented the people, and had opposed McMahon's regime.

Meeting in the finals, it seems the title was assured to Foley until the Brahma Bull locked in the Sharpshooter, and McMahon called for the bell, shades of the Montreal Screwjob a year prior.

Turning his back on the people, this would be the first of eight reigns for the Brahma Bull.

#2 Yokozuna (26 years, 6 months, 11 days)

Yokozuna as WWF Champion.

Beating his relation by a matter of days, it is the colossal Yokozuna who takes silver as the second youngest WWE Champion of all time.

After winning the 1993 Royal Rumble, the Sumo wrestler was destined to meet Bret 'Hitman' Hart at WrestleMania 9.

Meeting in Ceaser's Palace, the wily veteran tried to topple Yoko, but was thwarted at every turn.

Somehow able to lock in the Sharpshooter, it seemed the Canadian had Yokozuna beat, until a throw of salt into Hart's eyes by Mr. Fuji changed it all.

Winning the WWF Championship, Yoko's reign would last minutes, as Hulk Hogan would appear, and win the title to a mixed reaction from the crowd.

Regaining the title from the Hulkster at King of the Ring, Yoko would hold the title until WrestleMania 10, where Hart would finally get his moment.

#1 Brock Lesnar (25 years old)

Lesnar flattens the Great One to be the youngest WWE Champion ever.

When Brock Lesnar appeared on the RAW after WrestleMania X8, the WWE Universe shook.

Demolishing everyone in his wake, Lesnar forged an impressive undefeated streak, ending legends like Hulk Hogan and winning the 2002 King of the Ring.

Fortunately, there was one man who fans hoped would stop the Next Big Thing, and it was The Rock, who was riding high during his 7th WWE Championship reign.

Meeting at Summerslam, the two young stars waged a war, though it was Brock who came out on top, crushing the People's champion, and their hope.

Winning the title at just 25 years old, Lesnar would continue his dominant ways, holding the title four times, the Universal Championship twice, and is also the 2003 King of the Ring.

Young or old, the Beast Incarnate lives up to his name.
