The Undertaker needs no introduction as he is by far one of the most well-known Superstars WWE has ever had. His character, gimmick, and mic skills coupled with his in-ring skills made him one of the greatest sports entertainers of all time.

That’s not all, as The Undertaker managed to help WWE develop into the biggest wrestling promotion in the world, he stayed loyal with the company.

Over his illustrious career, The Phenom won no less than seven World Championship reigns, however, he never needed a title around his waist to prove that he is the best in WWE.

During the recently concluded docuseries about The Undertaker, he revealed that his in-ring career has come to an end, and the WWE was quick to Tweet that The Phenom has possibly retired from the ring.

While die-hard fans will be hoping to see Undertaker perform one final time, they’d be glad to know that he retired after one of his most epic matches at WrestleMania 36.

In this article, we will look at the 6 incredible records held by The Undertaker, most of which look impossible to beat!

#6 Longest uninterrupted WWE tenure

After making his wrestling debut in 1987 at the age of 22, he joined WCW in 1989. From there, The Undertaker made a big move by joining WWE in October 1990.

He debuted on November 22 at Survivor Series as a villainous character after he was revealed as the mystery partner of Ted DiBiase's Million Dollar Team.

From there on, The Undertaker never looked back. The WWE Superstar became an icon in the years to come and one of the most feared Superstars in the history of sports entertainment. Even though Undertaker tried a few different gimmicks, the overall impact remained the same as fans continued to fall in love with everything he did.

No one can match the value of The Undertaker

This unique ability allowed The Phenom to remain with the company through thick and thin and not move to any other wrestling promotion. The Undertaker has been signed to WWE for almost three decades now, and he has given us some of the most memorable moments over the past 30 years.

Even though it seems like the curtains have come down on The Deadman’s in-ring career, we are sure that WWE will keep him around for as long as possible.

#5 Most Hell in a Cell matches

Hell in a Cell is a cage-based wrestling match that allows two or more Superstars to compete in the ring, surrounded by a 16-foot tall structure weighing over two tons. Unlike a steel cage match, that has an open-top, the Hell in a Cell match traps the competitors from all five sides to make matters even more interesting. The Undertaker was part of the first Hell In A Cell match.

WWE built an entire pay-per-view around the concept of the steel structure in 2009 after the match-type gained a lot of popularity and became a norm in the pro wrestling business.

The first Hell in a Cell match took place back in 1997 at WWE Badd Blood: In Your House. The match was held between The Undertaker and Shawn Michaels to determine the No. 1 contender for WWF Championship at Survivor Series and lasted almost 30 minutes. In the end, The Heartbreak Kid defeated Undertaker to go on to his big match at Survivor Series.

Since then, fans have seen The Undertaker compete in no less than 14 Hell in a Cell matches during his illustrious career.

Taker has taken on many legends inside the steel structure, and his match against Mankind remains one of the best wrestling matches of all time.

#4 Most SummerSlam matches

Created in 1988, SummerSlam is one of the original “Big Four” pay-per-views (along with WrestleMania, Royal Rumble, and Survivor Series) that is hosted by the company each year. SummerSlam is known as the second-biggest pay-per-view hosted by WWE each year behind WrestleMania. The Undertaker has left his mark on SummerSlam as well.

The Biggest Party of the Summer brings in the biggest WWE Superstars to settle the biggest rivalries in the ring each year. WWE has never seen a Superstar quite as big as The Undertaker, and therefore he makes it to the top of the list when it comes to competing at the event.

The Undertaker has dominated SummerSlam events

The Undertaker first competed at SummerSlam in 1992 against Kamala. Since then, he has competed in 16 matches at the event, creating another record for the company. John Cena is still at the number 2 spot with 14 appearances, and it will take a lot for Cena to catch up to The Phenom.

Undertaker has won 10 of those 16 matches and competed in the ring for a combined 237 minutes at the PPV. That shows just how important the Superstar has been to WWE.

#3 Most WrestleMania appearances

While SummerSlam is known as the second biggest event of the year for WWE, WrestleMania is undoubtedly the king of all events in sports entertainment. Therefore, The Undertaker has always been attached to the event.

Every Superstar dreams of competing at The Grandest Stage of Them All one day, and while some have been lucky enough to feature in a multi-Superstar match at the event, others have headlined the show in singles matches several times.

However, no one can match The Undertaker’s record when it comes to WrestleMania, as Wrestling’s Biggest Stage requires the biggest star in the industry to perform.

No one has more WrestleMania appearances than The Undertaker!

At WrestleMania 36, Undertaker made his 27th appearance at The Showcase of Immortals in a Boneyard match against AJ Styles. With only one other Superstar who has competed in more than 20 matches at WrestleMania, it seems like The Undertaker’s record may never be broken.

Triple H comes in second with 23 matches at the event, while Kane and Shawn Michaels occupy the third spot with 17 matches. Looking at the number of matches those three Superstars compete in annually, it looks like The Undertaker has a very safe lead to keep this record.

#2 The WrestleMania Streak

While the record for most appearances at WrestleMania held by The Undertaker may be broken by someone like Randy Orton or a future megastar, a few years from now, it is nearly impossible for this record to ever be broken.

Not only has The Undertaker competed in 27 WrestleMania matches during his career, but he has managed to win 25 of those matches. That means that the Superstar has only lost 2 WrestleMania matches during his career and has a win record of over 92%!

The Undertaker has the finest WrestleMania record of all time!

That’s not all, as The Undertaker enjoys a Streak at WrestleMania unlike any other. The Deadman won 21 matches consecutively at the event to give birth to ‘The Streak’.

He has competed in the ring for almost 460 minutes in the ring at WrestleMania events, even though some of his matches did not last even five minutes.

Undertaker took down legends such as Ric Flair, Triple H, Shawn Michaels, and Batista to ensure that he did not lose his first 21 matches at the event. With ten victories to his name, John Cena is the second most successful Superstar on the list and he will likely never catch up with The Undertaker.

#1 Most Pay-Per-View wins

As mentioned in the first record of the list, The Undertaker has been around WWE for a long time. In fact, the legendary Superstar has enjoyed his time in the ring for almost 30 years!

This has not only allowed The Undertaker to make a huge name for himself in the company but also compete in no less than 173 pay-per-view matches. With just one match behind his on-screen brother Kane, Undertaker has competed in the second most number of matches at PPVs proving that he is indeed the most valuable Superstar the company has ever had.

The Undertaker has an unbreakable lead for this one!

That’s not all, Undertaker has enjoyed 105 victories in those 173 matches, way ahead of Kane who has just over 70 PPV victories to his name.

The Phenom competed in his first PPV match at Survivor Series 1990 where he was part of The Million Dollar Team that defeated The Dream Team.

Undertaker won his 100th PPV match fittingly at WrestleMania 34 when he squashed John Cena. WrestleMania 36 was the last PPV where we saw The Undertaker perform in where he defeated AJ Styles in a Boneyard match.

This is another record that will be impossible to beat!
