This weekend it's NXT UK TakeOver: Cardiff where the offshoot NXT brand based in the United Kingdom and featuring wrestlers from the UK and all over Europe will be having it's second major pay-per-view event.

The first, of course, being TakeOver: Blackpool which saw Jordan Devlin take on Finn Balor, Toni Storm defeat Rhea Rhipley and current NXT UK Champion Walter make his impressive debut to confront Pete Dunne after the latter retained his title.

Also announced is an appearance from Cesaro, but just what he'll be doing at the show is a mystery, but we'll touch on that later.

All of this comes in the wake of the huge announcement that NXT will be moving to the USA Network and will be extended to a two-hour show, airing live on Wednesday nights. Interestingly the yellow brand will go directly up against brand new wrestling promotion AEW.

Whilst the future for both NXT and NXT UK remains uncertain, albeit promising, given these latest developments Triple H recently held a conference call which Sportskeeda's very own Gary Cassidy was part of, and during it he revealed several major bombshells about the future of NXT and NXT UK.

Let's take a look!

#6 NXT UK will remain on the WWE Network - but may have a television deal looming

During the conference call, Gary Cassidy was able to ask Triple H if NXT UK will become the crown jewel of the WWE Network? Or if it might get a tv deal of its own?. This is what the response to that question was,

I think this deal shows a few things; I think it shows the significnce and the excitement of something we’ve been working on or a while. I think that the opportunity for the UK is tremendous, whether that is on the network or somewhere else.

The platform is irrelevant if people want to find the best wrestling in Europe, they know where to find it - whether that’s on BT [Sport] or the Network. They’ll be able to find a lot of it on the USA Network like I just said.

As you can see, Triple H hints that new partners BT Sport might get their hands on NXT UK.

#5 NXT will still be available on the WWE Network

When answering the previous question about NXT UK taking NXT's place as the crown jewel of the WWE Network due to the latter's move to live television on the USA channel, Triple H revealed something particularly exciting about NXT and it's place on WWE's streaming service.

I just want to say one thing though, NXT will still be on the WWE Network, 24 hours after its initial airing, so it’s there and it’s going to be there for everybody!

As you can see, despite the move to a major broadcasting network WWE will still be showing episodes of NXT, but people will just have to wait 24 hours after the initial broadcast to be able to watch them.

This is particularly useful for people who don't have access to the USA Network, and extremely pertinent to people like me from the UK as this is currently the only way we'll be able to watch NXT. We'll just have to watch it a day later than everyone in the States.

#4 NXT and NXT UK rosters will crossover regularly

Triple H spoke on a conference call ahead of NXT UK TakeOver: Cardiff

One of the more exciting things about WWE having multiple brands is when a Superstar from one brand shows up on another different brand. Admittedly the wild card rule has killed that excitement for the main roster. But one piece of absolutely great news from Triple H is that he intends to keep the NXT and NXT UK rosters fluid,

I think the letters in the front of it say everything about it; I believe there is a banner of NXT sort of an oversight of the brand that permeates broth the brand you see in the US and in the UK.
I think you’ll see that resonate in other markets around the world. As you see, in the US, NXT making the shift over to the USA Network, the different platform here in the middle of September and moving forward, up to two hours every week.
I definitely intend to have the talent from the UK a big part of that so they are recognised around the world. They will definitely be a big part of that show as well and it will enhance their reputation around the world.

#3 Maintenance roster stars could and will appear in NXT UK (and NXT)

We'll be seeing more main roster stars on NXT and NXT UK
We'll be seeing more main roster stars on NXT and NXT UK

Recently several main roster stars have appeared in NXT and NXT UK with Alexander Wolfe and Finn Balor appearing at NXT UK, and The Fashion Police showing up in NXT. Now Cesaro was recently announced as heading over the pond to check NXT UK out.

Thankfully, these kind of surprise appearances from main roster stars will continue as Triple H alludes here, referring specifically to Drew McIntyre,

Yeah, I think that the opportunity, you know, when we see guys like Drew McIntytre talking about a brand it’s because that’s brand is hot.
Iif they want to be a part of it it’s not because they want to go and spend an off day there, they’re busy enough. So when a guy like Drew McIntyre says, "I see the UK, I see it on fire, I want to go over there and step in the ring with people like Walter."
If his schedule permits and he has the ability, I’d love to make it happen.

#2 Cesaro will almost certainly be wrestling at NXT UK TakeOver: Cardiff

Cesaro will almost certainly be wrestling at NXT UK TakeOver: Cardiff

On the subject of main roster stars making appearances for NXT or NXT UK Triple H did make some allusions about what Cesaro will be doing when he makes an appearance at NXT UK TakeOver: Cardiff

We’ve seen that this weekend with Cesaro.
He watches the scene very carefully and his desire to want to come over to Cardiff and see and feel that crowd is important to him. I know he’s said that he’s looking forward to testing out the UK and see what they have first-hand, which would mean he’s going to get physical I would imagine.
It’s exciting when you have talent in their own time wanting to come over because you know it’s something special and the fans are going to get something special.

Cesaro's opponents could be either Kassius Ohno, with the two having a storied history as the former tag-team Kings of Wrestling, or Jordan Devlin who's been on a tear in NXT UK. But personally I'd like to see Cesaro taking on Ilja Dragunov!

#1 Future TakeOvers could take place anywhere!

Triple H wants to bring NXT and NXT UK everywhere
Triple H wants to bring NXT and NXT UK everywhere

The UK is extremely lucky to get top WWE wrestling shows like TakeOver: Blackpool and TakeOver: Cardiff and that one time NXT came and taped in the UK (please bring NXT back Triple H, please) But where will the next TakeOver be?

All of them.
If there’s a city with a massive fan base with a passion and a desire to see NXT, to see the best in-ring performances in the world, in my opinion, I want to bring it there and I want to put it on a platform to showcase it to the world - the WWE Network.
When you look at the landscape, Cardiff - during my in-ring years - was one of my favourite places to go and perform. Always packed, always a wild crazy crowd, always incredibly loud and into it, and made it feel good to go and perform. I wanted to bring this to them.
I can look at so many places all across Europe and all around the world that I want to bring it to. It's not stopping any time soon, so that's somewhere I want to bring it to.
