Finally, after several years of utterly dominating the pro wrestling industry, WWE have a serious opponent in AEW. The new promotion have had a good start since debuting earlier this year, with a completely different vibe to what WWE offers.

AEW, run by the Khan family, have the big bucks to lure mega stars from WWE, as well as the hottest wrestlers in the indies. WWE have become wary of the threat that AEW poses to them and have declined several requests from Superstars to be released from their contracts so as to not allow them to join a direct competitor.

But, there are some current WWE Superstars who are loyal to the company and would never make the switch to AEW.

Let's take a look at 6 WWE Superstars who will never join AEW:

#6 The Miz

The Miz is one of the many homegrown WWE Superstars, having participated in the Tough Enough show back in 2004, where he was a losing finalist. But, WWE offered him a contract, probably impressed by his work on the mic and sent him to Deep South Wrestling.

He debuted in 2006 on the main roster and has gone on to become one of WWE's most trusted and important Superstars on the roster. His mic skills are off the charts, while his in-ring skills have also improved significantly since his debut.

He has his own TV show called Miz & Mrs, while also being a part of many films produced by WWE Studios.

Simply put, The Miz and WWE have a close relationship and a breakup of this will not benefit either party. At 39 years of age, he probably has a few years remaining as an in-ring performer, and he could perhaps move to a backstage role in WWE following his in-ring career.

#5 Daniel Bryan

Daniel Bryan has had a fairytale pro wrestling career, progressing from being an indie darling to one of the most popular WWE Superstars in the history of the business.

A nasty injured forced an early retirement for Bryan, but he returned to the ring in 2018, which was one of the best comebacks in WWE history. Bryan owes a lot to WWE, as Vince McMahon's promotion stuck by him during one of his biggest lows when he suffered a nasty head injury, and even kept him on screen in a General Manager's role.

Bryan signed a new deal with WWE earlier this year which extends till 2021, by which time he would have turned 40. This contract could be his last in WWE and he could transition to a producer's role after her retires from in-ring competition, as per Slice Wrestling.

It's quite certain that he will not wrestle anywhere apart from WWE, and perhaps could even stay in the company as a producer once he hangs up his wrestling boots.

#4 Charlotte Flair

One of the greatest women's Superstars in the history of WWE, Charlotte Flair has done it all in the company. She holds several records and accolades in WWE, and is the most successful female Superstar in the business.

Like The Miz, she too is a product of WWE, having joined NXT in 2012 and become one of its biggest Superstars. Charlotte has played a huge role in WWE's women's evolution and it would be a huge surprise if WWE let her go or indeed if she decides to leave the business.

The daughter of the legendary Ric Flair, Charlotte could continue to break new barriers in the women's division.

With several dream feuds still remaining and several achievements still within striking distance, including her father's 16 World titles, Charlotte could be in WWE for the long haul. With her partner Andrade also in the company, Charlotte does not have any reason for quitting WWE for AEW.

#3 Randy Orton

Over the past few months, there have been several rumours doing the rounds that Randy Orton would quit WWE for AEW. But those rumours were dispelled when The Apex Predator signed a new five-year deal with WWE.

Orton debuted on the main roster back in 2002 and has been a constant fixture and a vital cog in the company. Him signing a new contract at the age of 39 perhaps means that this is the last contract he will sign as an in-ring competitor.

This removes any scope for him to move to AEW as an in-ring performer, and ties him down with the company.

Chris Jericho, in an interview with Sportskeeda, revealed why Orton signed a new deal with WWE and not AEW.

"But I know this - nobody is getting out of WWE, especially Randy Orton, because unless he’s very, very committed to saying ‘I don’t care if you pay me 20 gazillion dollars I’m leaving’ that’s not what he’s doing. I mean, obviously Vince (McMahon) is going to pay millions and millions of dollars to not have Randy Orton go."

#2 Becky Lynch

Becky Lynch has transformed her career over the last year, which led to one of the most iconic feuds in recent WWE history, between her, Ronda Rousey, and Charlotte Flair. The three main-evented WrestleMania earlier this year, becoming the first women to do so.

Lynch, like Flair, made her name in NXT after quitting pro wrestling for a long time. Her feud with Rousey skyrocketed her popularity as she became the most popular WWE Superstar among both the male and female rosters.

The Man is going to be the cornerstone of WWE's women's roster for the foreseeable future and will perhaps stick to Vince McMahon's promotion for the next decade or more.

With AEW's Women's division not as strong as WWE's presently, coupled with WWE's women having the opportunity to main event PPVs, Lynch may perhaps be too big for the AEW roster.

Lynch took a shot at the AEW Women's roster recently, when she replied to a Tweet by former WWE and current AEW commentator Jim Ross, saying: "Nothing but respect, JR — you’re an amazing announcer! So go down to the locker room and announce that I would whoop your whole women’s division any day of the week and twice on Sundays."

#1 Roman Reigns

Like a few of the Superstars on this list, Roman Reigns was nurtured and developed by WWE at NXT following his football career. The Big Dog comes from one of the most well-known wrestling families in the world, Anoaʻi's, and it was only a matter of time before he joined the family business, so to say.

After signing with WWE in 2010 and coming through the ranks at FCW and NXT, Reigns debuted with his fellow Shield brothers, Dean Ambrose and Seth Rollins, in 2012.

Since then, his career has been on the up, becoming The Guy of WWE, taking over the mantle from John Cena. Reigns is perhaps one of WWE's biggest assets, not only for his work in the ring, but also away from it, as he has been a part of several of WWE's charitable programmes.

For WWE, he is the perfect guy to be the face of the brand, one that has a clean image and makes a big impact to the lives of fans. It will be unusual to see Reigns wrestle in a promotion that is not WWE, as he could go down as one of the greats alongside the likes of The Rock, Hulk Hogan, Ric Flair, and Stone Cold Steve Austin.
