Opinion: 7 current Wrestlers who deserve to become World Champions

Former Universal Champion Finn Balor

WWE's current roster is the most stacked roster right now. It's the most talented roster WWE has ever had. There are many wrestlers on the roster who have the potential to become the best. However, WWE thinks otherwise.

There are many wrestlers with potential who are being wasted with booking decisions. They just come out to lose and don't get the privilege that other superstars get. They are involved in rivalries that make no sense.

However, these wrestlers truly have the potential and charisma to become World Champions. Here are seven wrestlers who deserve to become World Champions:

#7. Shinsuke Nakamura

Shinsuke Nakamura is the current US Champion

'The Artist' Shinsuke Nakamura is one of the best wrestlers in the world.

The King of Strong Style is the current United States Champion. He also won the Royal Rumble this year. However, his rivalry with AJ Styles was underwhelming. He didn't win the WWE title. However, he simply deserves to.

Shinsuke Nakamura has all the tools that a champion needs. He is simply that good. His stiff strikes and his persona definitely suites a character of a great champion in WWE. He might not be that good on the mic, but his fighting ability truly is great.

Since turning heel, his character is on the next level. He is the best character in the WWE today. His ruthless and cocky character might give us a great heel WWE Champion that we need.

We all know that Shinsuke Nakamura is not a wrestler who just remains a singles champion, he truly deserves a run as the WWE Champion. He is going to impress us as the WWE Champion for sure.

#6. Kevin Owens

How many think that Kevin Owens deserves another Universal Championship run?

Is there any wrestler better than Kevin Owens on Raw? The person is a star both on the mic and in the ring.

Kevin Owens has sadly been booked worst in 2018. He hasn't had any meaningful rivalry this year and mostly got squashed by Braun Strowman. In my view, 2018 has been the worst year for Kevin Owens since he joined WWE.

The person who is a former Universal Champion (with the second longest Universal title reign) deserves better. When your wrestling and promo skills are as good as CM Punk, you definitely deserve much more. The man is the only person in WWE who is equivalent to CM Punk.

WWE simply needs to put the Universal Championship on Kevin Owens again. He simply deserves to be pushed the way Punk got pushed.

Only Kevin Owens can increase the prestige of the Universal Championship again. The fans would love to see Kevin Owens become the Universal Champion and that is truly best for business.

#5. Samoa Joe

E
Ohh WWE! Samoa Joe deserves to become a WWE Champion

Samoa Joe is one of the best wrestlers in the world right now. He is a wrestling veteran and shows that with his work in the ring.

Samoa Joe is currently involved in the best WWE rivalry with the WWE Champion AJ Styles. He is running after the WWE Championship, but it doesn't seems like WWE would put the title on him.

However, he has impressed us with his mic skills and wrestling skills, and he looks like a threat to AJ's WWE title reign. Until now, their both matches have been great with WWE ending both in a controversy.

Samoa Joe is a former ROH World Champion, TNA World Champion and NXT Champion and hasn't disappointed us as champion. This is enough to prove that his WWE Championship reign is going to be great. He walks and looks like a WWE Champion. WWE should consider only two men to dethrone AJ Styles, and this man is one of them.

#4. Finn Balor

Finn Balor deserves to become Universal Champion again

Finn Balor undoubtedly is one of the best wrestlers in WWE right now. Whenever Balor gets in the ring, a great match is guaranteed.

However, since his victory at SummerSlam 2016, WWE hasn't booked him properly and has been involved in meaningless feuds. It never feels like the Irishman is a former Universal Champion due to his booking in the WWE.

We have seen him as the NXT Champion (he holds the record for longest reign as NXT Champion) and his reign was one of the best reigns as NXT Champion. The same might have happened to his Universal Champion if he had not got injured the same day he won the title.

He definitely deserves to be the Universal Champion and needs to show everyone what he can do as a champion. We all know he will be a great champion, so make it happen, WWE.

#3. Seth Rollins

<p>
The Kingslayer has been on fire recently

The current Intercontinental Champion has been the best thing this year on Raw. His matches have been great and his performance has shown the signs of a main event performer.

Seth Rollins has been on fire since he has been the Intercontinental Champion. The man is on fire and always 'Burns It Down' whenever he steps inside the squared circle. Seth Rollins is the only reason many fans tune in on Raw.

Seth Rollins has shown how good of a champion he can be as a heel. He has even shown us what he can do as a face. The fire he has right now should not be stopped.

WWE should book him in the main-event picture and win the Universal title so that we can witness him as a face champion. In my view, Seth Rollins as a Universal Champion sounds great.

#2. Drew McIntyre

E
Who doesn't want to see him as Universal Champion?

'The Scottish Psychopath' Drew McIntyre has been on fire since joining the main roster. After pairing up with Dolph Ziggler, he not only made Dolph relevant, but has also increased his value as a competitor.

Drew McIntyre is one of the best characters on Raw and the current Raw Tag Team Champion, and he has been victimizing the tag team division of Raw. With his performances, both Triple H and Vince McMahon are high on him and have big things in store for him.

That certainly includes him becoming the Universal Championship that he truly deserves to win. I wouldn't be surprised if Vince McMahon considers him an option to dethrone Roman Reigns.

If that happens, the fans would love it and it would blow the roof off. It will also help us remove the last run of McIntyre in WWE from our minds. That guy simply looks and deserves to be champion.

#1. Andrade 'Cien' Almas

The best manager-wrestler pairing in the WWE right now

This man simply deserves to be a champion.

Andrade 'Cien' Almas is the second-best wrestler in the WWE (after AJ Styles). Every week he shows us what he can do in the ring. He has impressed the fans with his wrestling skills and abilities. Since arriving on SmackDown Live, he has given us classics with AJ Styles, Daniel Bryan, and even Sin Cara.

With Zelina Vega by his side, he is unstoppable. The guy deserves a WWE Championship run and in my view the best option to take the title from AJ Styles. They can simply dominate the SmackDown division.

Andrade's WWE title reign would be must-see. He might even give us the first five-star match in years on the main roster just like he did in NXT with Johnny Gargano. I would be looking forward to WWE putting the title on Andrade.

What makes Sting special? His first AEW opponent opens up RIGHT HERE.
