WWE Superstars actually have to work a lot harder than many fans may be aware of. Superstars are on the road 300 days a year and wrestling 5 times a week. This means time spent away from friends and family.
This often leads to Superstars becoming very close behind the scenes and this can sometimes blossom into love. In today's article, we take a look at 8 WWE couples who got married this year, from the veteran Ric Flair to Lio Rush who just got married yesterday.
#8 Ric Flair and Wendy Barlow
Ric Flair married longtime girlfriend and former Nitro girl Wendy Barlow got married earlier this year. This was Flair's 5th wedding and the ceremony was attended by his daughter Charlotte Flair as well as a number of other WWE Superstars including The Undertaker and Michelle McCool.
Flair and Barlow reportedly started dating back in 2012. The couple later going engaged in 2016. In the past, the duo has appeared on Celebrity Wife Swap along with the late Roddy Piper and his wife.
Ric Flair married for the first time in 1971 to Leslie Goodman. Flair and Goodman were married for 12 years before Flair filed for divorce. He married his second wife Elizabeth Harrel, mother of Charlotte Flair in 1983 and they were together for 23 years. Flair was also married to Tiffany VanDemark and Jacqueline Beams.
Flair and Barlow got married in September, at an intimate ceremony at a resort in Florida.

#7 Ember Moon and Mattew Palmer
WWE RAW Superstar Ember Moon also got married earlier this year. The "Shenom" got married to indie wrestler Matthew Palmer in a Game of Thrones style ceremony in Las Vegas, Nevada earlier this year.
The couple had been engaged since 2015 when Palmer proposed to Ember Moon in the middle of the ring. Soon after, Ember Moon signed with WWE and has since held the coveted NXT Women's Championship. Palmer currently wrestler on the independent circuit.
#6 Cedric Alexander and Ariel Monroe
Former WWE Cruiserweight Champion Cedric Alexander married longtime girlfriend Ariel Monroe in June 2018. Monroe has appeared in WWE too, competing in the second Mae Young Classic tournament, getting eliminated by Zeuxis in the first round of the tournament.
Cedric Alexander and Ariel Monroe also have a young daughter together, named Odessa.

#5 Bianca Belair and Montez Ford
One of the couples in NXT who got married in 2018 was one-half of the Street Profits - Montez Ford - and the EST of NXT, Bianca Belair. The couple were together before they had even signed with WWE and were officially engaged by the time they signed.
The couple got married in the Summer and Belair even cut a promo on Nikki Cross from the beach on her honeymoon.
#4 Roderick Strong and Marina Shafir
Roderick Strong had been dating fellow NXT star and former UFC fighter Marina Shafir since his time on the indies and the duo finally got married this year. They also have an 18-month daughter together.
Shafir recently made her NXT television debut along with Jessamyn Duke as Shayna Baszler's henchwomen.
#3 Aleister Black and Zelina Vega
The news of former NXT Champion Aleister Black and Zelina Vega's wedding only broke last month which makes them one of the newest additions to this list. The couple is very private and the fact that they were dating was only revealed on social media earlier this year.

#2 Sarah Logan and Raymond Rowe
Sarah Logan and NXT star Raymond Rowe are new additions two this list. The duo got married earlier this week in a Viking style ceremony that was addended by the rest of the Riott Squad, Rowe's tag-team partner Hanson as well as Jessamyn Duke.
#1 Lio Rush and Sarah Lai Wah Green
Lio Rush married girlfriend Sarah Lai Wah Green yesterday (as of writing) making them the newest married couple in this list. The duo got married in Las Vegas in a private ceremony.
Rush posted the following on social media:
“There used to be a time where I was all alone, cold, with no hope. A time where I thought love was nothing more than a sin. That I shouldn’t even entertain the idea of putting my heart into somebody else’s hands because it might as well should have been considered committing suicide. But then there was also a time, where I met a woman. A woman so perfect and so sweet. A woman that was made for me that changed it all. A woman that made me believe. A woman that made me want to put all of the those negative beliefs to rest and just be free. A woman that made me not afraid to get down on one knee asking her to marry me.”
