The past five days had tons of rumours for the WWE fans. Is Shinsuke Nakamura heading back to NJPW? Will Stephanie McMahon wrestle again at Evolution? And, how grave is Hiromu Takahashi's injury?

Follow Sportskeeda for the latest WWE news, rumors and all other wrestling news.

These pessimistic rumours have been addressed in another section of ours. However, there were a lot of optimistic rumours too.

Who will win the Raw Women's Championship at Summerslam? Which SmackDown superstar is set to receive a huge push? And, will the Rock wrestle again?

In this section, we address all those rumours and look at the possibility of them coming true. Without any further ado, here are eight WWE rumours that should come true.

#8 Nikki Cross to join the main roster soon

This year's Superstar Shakeup was special for SmackDown Live for a lot of reasons. They got Samoa Joe, the Miz, Andrade "Cien" Almas, and Sanity. However, an elemental part of the group had been missing when they debuted on the June 19 episode of SmackDown.

Yes, Nikki Cross had stayed on NXT to fulfill her singles aspirations. While she failed to capture the NXT Women's Championship from Shayna Baszler, the good news for the fans is that she might be transitioning to the main roster soon.

According to Cagesideseats, Cross might be called up to the main roster soon. One has to note that she was the only female wrestler present on Raw when Stephanie McMahon announced that there would be an exclusive PPV for the women. Moreover, she is also working on SmackDown house shows.

This is great news for Sanity and their fans. A table can't be made with just three legs, and same is the case with Sanity.

Without Cross, the team feels incomplete. Her addition should bring some credibility to them.

#7 WWE planning to make the Performance Centre global

WWE Performance Centre is a state-of-the-art facility where WWE trains their wrestlers to live their dream.

However, the ultra-modern infrastructure is present only in Florida. So, if someone wishes to become a WWE superstar by staying in their native country, they cannot fulfil their wish.

For all of those people, we have some good news for you. In the Second Quarter Conference Call, WWE addressed their investors that they would like to make their brand more global. As per PWInsider, they could do so by making the Performance Centre global.

This is still a rumour as the WWE haven't confirmed it. However, everyone across the globe would wish that it comes true. Whether you are living in one of the lesser-known villages of India or the posh localities of New York, your wish to be a WWE superstar could come true.

#6 More women segments to feature in October

youtube-cover

The Women's Division is one of the few best things about WWE right now. And, Stephanie McMahon's announcement that there would be an all-women PPV is something every one of them wanted.

Furthermore, Dave Meltzer of Wrestling Observer Newsletter speculated that the month of October could feature more women segments. Here is the full transcript (H/T: Johnny Payne of Sportskeeda):

“The TV in October is going to be loaded with women’s segments, because TV is generally there to build—in theory at least—the PPV. And the people who are on the PPV get most of the television time.”
“So, the men’s segments (during October) are almost going to be on hold, because they’ll go from the September (Hell In A Cell) PPV and then the Australia Super Show-Down in early October (to Evolution).”
“They’re gonna hype the Australia PPV to some extent, but after that, they’re not gonna have another PPV till Survivor Series which is late-November.”

While the audience would see less of Daniel Bryan, AJ Styles, and Braun Strowman in October, they would see a lot of segments from the likes of Ronda Rousey, Charlotte, and Asuka. We hope that this rumour comes true as the women earned it.

#5 Andrade "Cien" Almas to receive a huge push

Andrade "Cien" Almas had been one of the hottest properties of Mexico before he boarded the flight to WWE. After a successful title run in their developmental brand, WWE drafted him to the blue brand.

After his brilliant performance against Styles, PWInsider speculates that he is set to receive a massive push. They further elucidated that a lot of WWE officials were impressed with the work of the Mexican star after coming out of the show.

If this rumour comes true, great things might be in store for Andrade "Cien" Almas. A lot of NXT call-ups fail to live up to the reputation they achieved in the developmental brand. We wish that Andrade " Almas doesn't become another one of them.

#4 The Rock and Rey Mysterio to return back in WWE

The Rock and Rey Mysterio are two of the greatest wrestlers to step foot in the WWE ring. While the latter continues to make sporadic appearances in the independent circuit, the former is one of the biggest attractions of Hollywood.

We have some hot rumours for their fans as Dave Meltzer of Wrestling Observer Newsletter speculates that Rey Mysterio might be signing a WWE contract soon. Here is the transcript (H/T: Ringsidenews):

“It should be noted that we haven’t heard Mysterio has signed, but the reports of his signing at least as of last week were premature. As noted, we do expect that he will sign at some point.”

Regarding the Rock's future in WWE, Joseph Peisech reported on the latest instalment of No Holds Barred that he might show up on Raw next week to have an altercation with Elias (H/T: Ringsidenews):

“The WWE has reached out to Dwayne Johnson. They reached out to him at Skyscraper and since it’s in Miami, don’t be surprised if The Rock shows up to do something with Walk with Elias.”

Whether you are an old school fan or a new generation fan, you must be exhilarated to see the Rock and Rey Mysterio back in the WWE. We hope that this rumour eventually comes true.

#3 More NXT Takeovers to take place from 2019

youtube-cover

NXT Takeovers are head and shoulders above the main roster PPVs. The casual fans who only resort to the main roster PPVs are missing a lot of action by not watching these shows. Nonetheless, we have some great news for those fans who watch NXT and their TakeOvers.

In the recent episode of Barnburner's No Holds Barred Podcast (H/T: Stillrealtous.com), it was discussed that WWE might be increasing the number of TakeOver PPV's to 8 by 2019.

If this rumour comes true, we would see the more high-flying action of Ricochet, a more sadistic approach by Tomasso Ciampa, and more of the charismatic Velveteen Dream.

This is, of course, unless they are called to the main roster. We don't know if these superstars will be present at the yellow brand in 2019, but NXT is going to get a lot more interesting in the coming year.

#2 Ronda Rousey to win WWE Women's title at Summerslam and headline Evolution

youtube-cover

Ronda Rousey is pivotal to the women's division in many ways. Out of the 14 WreslteMania matches, Rousey stole the cake in a match which was expected to be the least intriguing. Furthermore, the thought of women main-eventing WrestleMania came only after her signing.

And, according to Justin Barasso of Sports Illustrated (H/T: Rajah.com), she might win the women's title at Summerslam and main-event Evolution. He further conjectured that her likely opponents in the show will be Alexa Bliss, Nia Jax, or Natalya.

Ronda Rousey deserves to be on the main-event of Evolution as she not only brings the star power but also the terrific in-ring artistry.

It is only a matter of time since she becomes the Raw Women's Champion. We hope that she becomes so at Summerslam, and headline Evolution.

#1 Kevin Owens to win the Money in the Bank contract at Summerslam

youtube-cover

In the storyline, nothing is going right for Kevin Owens. Braun Strowman pushed thrashed from the top of a ladder in the Money in the Bank pay-per-view, shoved him when he was hiding in a portable toilet, and nearly killed him by throwing him from the top of a steel cage.

But, things are about to change for the Prizefighter. According to Jeff Whalen of Rajah.com, Kevin Owens could end up walking out of SummerSlam with the Money in the Bank contract as owning the briefcase is an "ill fit" for Braun Strowman. Furthermore, he could even cash-in the contract at SummerSlam itself.

If this rumour comes true, it would be great news for Kevin Owens and his well-wishers. He has been on a downhill since parting ways with Chris Jericho.

It is high time that he becomes a mainstay on the main-event scene of Raw and for that, the Money in the Bank contract is extremely important.
