This week's season premiere episode of WWE RAW saw the first match announcement for WWE's upcoming Crown Jewel PPV taking place in Saudi Arabia on Halloween night.

The event will feature Ric Flair vs Hulk Hogan in the form of a 5 on 5 tag team match pitting 5 WWE stars representing Team Flair and 5 WWE stars representing Team Hogan. It was announced on RAW that Randy Orton will captain Team Flair, and Universal Champion Seth Rollins will captain Team Hogan, which will see Baron Corbin added to Flair's team, and Rusev added to Hogan's team.

The match took shape on RAW when Ric Flair fired some harsh shots at Hulk Hogan during a MizTV segment and said he might have played second fiddle to Hogan where the money is concerned, but in the ring, Ric Flair plays second fiddle to no one.

Given the above, let's take a look at four WWE stars who could join Team Flair at Crown Jewel, and four WWE stars who could join Team Hogan.

#8 Chad Gable could join Team Hogan

Chad Gable
Chad Gable

Prior to this year's WWE King of the Ring tournament, Chad Gable was all but a forgotten name in WWE, having been used sparingly on main roster television despite being a talented in-ring performer.

That all changed for Gable when he was announced as a participant in the King of the Ring tournament, made a surprising run all the way to the tournament finals. It was predicted early on that Gable would likely be eliminated by Shelton Benjamin in the first round, but Gable proved the doubters wrong and had a fantastic showing in the tournament, but losing to Baron Corbin in the finals.

With King Corbin already set to join Team Flair at WWE Crown Jewel, it would make sense for Chad Gable to join Team Hogan to face his King of the Ring nemesis one last time.

#7 Cesaro could join Team Flair

Cesaro
Cesaro

Cesaro is another WWE star who is either underused in the company, or improperly used, with many fans feeling he deserves better than the spot in which he currently resides on the main roster.

Cesaro is definitely the kind of talent that can always be trusted to have a great match, but he comes up on the losing end of his matches more often than not, decreasing his credibility as a legitimate opponent with each loss.

This week on the season premiere of WWE RAW, Cesaro suffered another loss when he faced Ricochet, and The One and Only was able to pick up the win after using Rey Mysterio's West Coast Pop finisher.

Cesaro is someone who could use somewhat of a rub by joining Team Flair at WWE Crown Jewel, as he would then be appearing in the (likely) main event of a big PPV event alongside top stars such as Randy Orton and Seth Rollins.

Should the match become an elimination bout, it's likely that Cesaro would be one of the first talents eliminated in the match, but it would nonetheless be a good idea to have The Swiss Cyborg compete in the bout, as he can up the match quality and give his career a bit of a boost if he is to remain on the main roster.

#6 Bobby Lashley could join Team Flair

Bobby Lashley
Bobby Lashley

Bobby Lashley made his return to WWE TV on the season premiere of RAW this week, and he made quite the impact on the show, but in the form of physicality. Well, that's partially untrue as The Almighty did get physical, but the physicality came in the form of stealing Lana away from Rusev.

With Lashley and Lana now an on-screen pair on WWE TV, it would seem to make sense that Lashley would join Team Flair and battle Rusev who will likely be representing Team Hogan. With Flair in the corner of his own team, it would seem likely that Lana will also be cornering Flair's group, escorting Bobby Lashley to ringside.

#5 Cedric Alexander could join Team Hogan

Cedric Alexander
Cedric Alexander

Cedric Alexander came up short yet again in his bid to win the WWE United States title from AJ Styles on RAW this week, and at this point, it would seem as if Alexander has quite possibly run out of title shot opportunities.

While the former WWE 205 Live standout might be finished as a challenger to AJ Styles' title, he might be able to sneak in a winning battle should he join Team Hogan opposite AJ Styles on Team Flair.

#4 Braun Strowman could join Team Hogan

Braun Strowman
Braun Strowman

The Monster Among Men has had his ups and downs on WWE TV in the past few weeks, and he seems to be on the receiving end of a few more downs in recent memory, as he lost both the RAW Tag Team Titles and his shot at the Universal title at this year's WWE Night of Champions PPV.

Following the title loss at the PPV, Braun Strowman was once again inserted into the main event against his former tag team partner Seth Rollins, but it was The Fiend who thwarted the attentions of both Strowman and Rollins and attacked Rollins ahead of their title match at WWE Hell in a Cell on Sunday.

With Braun Strowman seemingly out of the Universal Title picture and having no real feud right now, he could certainly join Team Hogan and deliver his "hands" to the 5 other Superstars competing on Team Flair.

It was explained that over the course of the next few weeks, leading up to WWE Crown Jewel, Seth Rollins, and Randy Orton will be picking their teammates for the PPV main event match, and it would seem almost certain that both Rollins and Orton will want Braun Strowman on their team.

#3 Drew McIntyre could join Team Flair

Drew McIntyre
Drew McIntyre

It has been rumored that this year's WWE King of the Ring tournament was designed to crown Drew McIntyre the new King of the Ring and give him the push that many fans feel has been overdue, however, that was not meant to be.

Prior to the first round of the tournament, Drew McIntyre was diagnosed with an undisclosed illness, and it forced his time in the King of the Ring tournament to be cut short so he could recover from his illness. As a result of the illness, McIntyre lost his first-round match in upset fashion to Cedric Alexander, and The Scottish Psychopath has not been seen on television since the match loss.

With Drew McIntyre set to be returning to WWE TV in the very near future, it would make sense for him to return and join Team Flair, in order to ease McIntyre back into TV storylines.

Should McIntyre seek revenge on Cedric Alexander for his match loss in the King of the Ring tournament, it would be interesting to see McIntyre and Alexander on opposite teams at WWE Crown Jewel, this time representing Ric Flair and Hulk Hogan.

#2 Finn Balor could join Team Hogan

Finn Balor
Finn Balor

The past couple weeks have seen notable talent returns to WWE TV, as Rusev made his return to WWE on RAW last week, and during this week's show Bobby Lashley made his return to TV after suffering an injury.

Another talent who is near a return to WWE TV is Finn Balor, who was last seen in a losing effort to The Fiend at this year's SummerSlam PPV.

Balor has been on an extended vacation from WWE TV which is why he was written out of storylines at SummerSlam this year, but the former Universal Champion should be returning to TV in the coming weeks, and will no doubt be looking to slot himself right back into the action.

It remains to be seen if Balor returns to WWE TV before the upcoming roster draft taking place on October 11th, and if he does return before the draft, then he could make his return to WWE RAW and attempt to seek revenge on The Fiend.

Or, Balor could return on this week's WWE SmackDown premiere on FOX Sports, and officially join team Hogan at the Crown Jewel PPV taking place on Halloween. By the way, Halloween would be an excellent night for The Demon.

#1 Samoa Joe could join Team Flair

Samoa Joe
Samoa Joe

Most fans would likely agree with the assessment that Samoa Joe is one of the most talented performers on the WWE main roster, but despite his talent, Joe seems to find himself without a main event level feud more often than not.

With the WWE roster draft coming up on October 11th, it's possible that Samoa Joe could switch brands to help freshen up his trajectory in the company, but until the draft, Joe could be used as a good hand in the 5 on 5 match taking place at Crown Jewel.

It will be interesting to see whether or not WWE makes the Crown Jewel match an elimination bout, and if the elimination stipulation is in fact added, then WWE would likely book Joe in the match to take some type of pinfall. Either way, Joe could be very entertaining in the match along with the other Team Flair members, and Joe certainly has a history with Flair given their time in TNA.
