All Out could provide us with some major shocks
All Out could provide us with some major shocks

On 31st August, 2019, All Elite Wrestling will host their highly awaited All Out pay-per-view at The Sears Center in Chicago, Illinois. The PPV will crown the first-ever AEW World Champion as Adam Page and Chris Jericho get set to headline night. The co-main event will feature the debut of PAC, who is set to face Kenny Omega in singles action. PAC will be replacing the injured Jon Moxley.

Elsewhere on the card, there are several tag matches featuring the Young Bucks, Lucha Brothers, Best Friends, and The Dark Order. AEW Executive Vice-President, Cody will also face Shawn Spears in a highly awaited match.

A 21-woman Casino Battle Royal will also take place on the show and the winner will receive a match for the inaugural AEW Women's World Championship on the 2nd of October.

AEW: All Out is certainly going to be a historic night for the pro wrestling business and could provide us some of the biggest shocks of the year. With that being said, fans could be in for surprising heel/face turns at All Out.

Here are 5 potential heel/face turns that could take place at All Out:

#5 Allie: Heel Turn

Allie

On March 21, AEW announced the signing of Allie on an edition to Road to Double or Nothing. Allie made her in-ring debut for the promotion at Fyter Fest when she defeated Leva Bates with a superkick. However, at Fight for the Fallen, Allie suffered her first loss when she was beaten by Brandi Rhodes.

Now, as for Allie, she is currently a babyface and to some fans, her character might feel a bit generic at this point. A heel turn for Allie would definitely be the best thing for her and AEW could even exploit her the Dark Allie gimmick, as well.

Impact Wrestling fans might recall how amazing Dark Allie was during her tenure with the promotion and her alliance with Su Yung was also a thing of beauty.

#4 Chris Jericho: Face Turn

At All Out, Chris Jericho will be challenging for the inaugural AEW World Championship as he gets set to face Adam Page in a highly awaited main event match. Heading into this match, Page is the clear favorite to beat Jericho and if he eventually does, then a face turn for the latter would bring a major change in the main event scene for AEW.

Jericho's heel run initially began when he made his return to New Japan Pro Wrestling in 2017 and challenged Kenny Omega to an IWGP US Championship at Wrestle Kingdom 12. Y2J's heel run continued for almost two years in New Japan, as he won the IWGP Intercontinental Championship during this tenure, as well.

Jericho eventually signed with AEW and headlined the promotion's first show, Double or Nothing and even defeated Kenny Omega in his first match for the promotion, as well. A face turn for Jericho would bring a major change to AEW and it has been a while since we've seen Y2J as a face.

#3 Joey Janela: Heel Turn

Joey Janela
Joey Janela

Upon his debut for All Elite Wrestling, Joey Janela started off as a babyface and for his first singles match in the promotion, The Bad Boy faced and lost to Jon Moxley in a brutal unsanctioned match at Fyter Fest.

Prior to him signing with AEW, Janela was mostly a heel on the Independent Circuit (He's the Bad Boy after all) and with a loss to Moxley, there's a certainly a big hit on his momentum. With Janela scheduled to face two of AEW's hottest prospects in Darby Allin and Jimmy Havoc, The Bad Boy might not be the favorite to end up as the winner of the Triple Threat Match.

Nevertheless, having Joey Janela turn heel would certainly give a lot of meaning to AEW's current mid-card scene and in all fairness, Janela is better suited as a heel. So a change in character for The Bad Boy at All Out would definitely be appreciated even by the fans.

#2 Darby Allin: Face Turn

Darby Allin
Darby Allin

Darby Allin is currently considered as one of the best young pro wrestlers in the world and his signing with All Elite Wrestling was one of the most talked-about signings in AEW history. At AEW: Fyter Fest, Allin faced Cody Rhodes in his debut match and put on a brilliant show alongside The American Nightmare, as the two men wrestled each other to an outstanding time-limit draw.

Throughout the match, Allin was the clear crowd favorite and received some solid reception from the crowd at the Daytona Beach. So much so, that at one point fans even wanted to witness more of Allin at Fight for the Fallen, which eventually led to a Triple Threat Match between himself, Havoc, and Janela.

A face turn for Allin would definitely bring a major change to his character and would certainly be a solid aspect for the AEW mid-card as well. A long term feud between Allin and Janela could be absolutely great.

#1 Cody: Heel Turn

Cody Rhodes
Cody Rhodes

During his time with New Japan Pro Wrestling and Ring of Honor, Cody was by far the most hated gaijin superstars in the company. As part of the Bullet Club, Cody was busy brutally assaulting some of ROH and New Japan's most lovable stars and also caused the first cracks in the faction as well.

The American Nightmare also was the initial reason why the Bullet Club Civil War had begun in the first place and that eventually also led to a Golden Lovers reunion, Kenny Omega, and co. departing from the Bullet Club, as well.

A heel, arrogant, bleached hair Cody Rhodes would certainly change the landscape of All Elite Wrestling, even though fans probably wouldn't want a company Vice-Executive President to turn heel at this given moment. Therefore, I feel that a heel turn for Cody at some point down the road in AEW could prove wonders.
