AEW All Out: 5 Reasons why PAC defeated Kenny Omega

At tonight's AEW: All Out show, PAC finally made his highly awaited debut for the promotion, as the former WWE star faced Kenny Omega in his first match under the All Elite Wrestling banner.

PAC was initially scheduled to make his in-ring debut for AEW at Double or Nothing but was eventually pulled from the card resulting to his match against Adam Page being cancelled at the very last minute. Instead, PAC and Page would compete at UK based promotion called Wrestle Gate in a match that ended in a double disqualification.

PAC, following his WWE departure, made his return to Dragon Gate in Japan and compiled an undefeated streak of almost two years before eventually losing his Open the Dream Gate Championship to Ben-K very recently.

On the other hand, Omega was set to face Jon Moxley at the show but following an injury to the latter, Moxley was replaced by the debuting PAC, who in his first match for AEW secured a huge win over the former IWGP Heavyweight Champion via The Brutalizer submission.

With that being said, here are 5 potential reasons why PAC defeated Kenny Omega at AEW: ALL OUT.

#5 To make sure PAC got off to a perfect start

PAC is off to a great start in AEW
PAC is off to a great start in AEW

For almost two years now, PAC has been one of the most talked-about and hottest Superstars in the Pro Wrestling business and having him lose in his first match for All Elite Wrestling would certainly be a ridiculous decision, I feel.

PAC winning his first match for AEW was definitely the right choice and as for Kenny Omega, the former IWGP Heavyweight Champion can certainly afford a loss at this point and have PAC go over him for good.

Nevertheless, for his first AEW win, PAC certainly had a great match in terms of in-ring quality and expect big things from the former WWE Superstar now that he's off to a perfect start in AEW.

#4 To set up a rematch

PAC and Omega need to run it back
PAC and Omega need to run it back

There is no doubt in the fact that PAC and Kenny Omega had an outstanding match at All Out, however, a submission finish with Omega passing out was something fans certainly didn't see coming. Instead, they had rather hoped for a clean finish. Well, as of now it looks like AEW is saving the clean finish for a highly awaited rematch between the pair.

PAC and Omega had some brilliant exchanges with each other throughout the bout and the match ended in a brilliant finish when Omega passed out to The Brutalizer, meaning that The Best Bout Machine didn't have to suffer a pinfall loss nor did he tap out to P.

A rematch between PAC and Omega could potentially happen later this year at a bigger AEW pay-per-view and it would certainly make all the sense in the world for All Elite Wrestling to have a decisive winner in the rematch.

#3 An undefeated streak for PAC in AEW

PAC was unstoppable in Dragon Gate
PAC was unstoppable in Dragon Gate

Following his departure from WWE, PAC compiled an undefeated streak for almost two years, as he didn't suffer a single loss in Dragon Gate nor on the Independent Circuit until very recently. PAC's undefeated streak was considered to be very prestigious, so much so, that the former WWE Cruiserweight Champion was even pulled off from the Double or Nothing card for the similar reason to keep his undefeated streak alive.

With a win over Kenny Omega in his first match for AEW, PAC could be in line for another major push with the promotion, as All Elite Wrestling could very well use PAC's momentum from here on and build another undefeated streak for him in the promotion. With PAC securing a major win over Omega, expect him to score a few more major victories moving forward in AEW.

It remains to be seen who PAC's next opponent in AEW is gonna be.

#2 Setting up a feud with the rest of The Elite

Is PAC looking to destroy The Elite?
Is PAC looking to destroy The Elite?

With a win over Kenny Omega, PAC could very well set his sights of the rest of The Elite members. As of now, singles matches with the likes of Cody Rhodes and Hangman Page remain as big possibilities and these two mentioned bouts are definitely something AEW should consider booking, as well.

As far as The Young Bucks are concerned, PAC could potentially find a tag team partner for himself as well, maybe bring in someone from his RED faction in Dragon Gate (probably someone like Daga or Eita) and have the pair challenge The Young Bucks to a tag team match in the future.

A feud between PAC and The Elite would certainly be something to watch out for given the amazing amount of matches the two parties could produce in AEW. PAC vs Cody and PAC vs Hangman Page has money written all over them for sure.

#1 To push PAC into the AEW World Championship picture

Is PAC coming for the AEW World Championship?
Is PAC coming for the AEW World Championship?

A win over a former IWGP Heavyweight Champion in his first match for All Elite Wrestling is definitely something that should be taken seriously by the company officials. PAC's win over Kenny Omega felt nothing short of a title win for the former and speaking of titles, this could only mean that 'The Bastard' could possibly be on the verge of challenging the newly crowned AEW World Champion.

With Chris Jericho and Hangman Page set to battle each other in order to crown the first-ever AEW World Champion, it remains very interesting to be seen which Superstar will challenge the eventual world title winner for their feud in the promotion.

Nevertheless, a feud between PAC and Hangman Page is something which is very likely to take place, given that their initial match was canceled in the first place. And, a feud between PAC and Chris Jericho should be another fun feud as well. But one thing is for sure, all of this is possibly leading to PAC entering the AEW World Championship picture.
