With AEW just finishing their biggest pay per view of the year, news has been coming down so quickly that it's a good bet that some wrestling fans might have missed the news altogether.

In today's AEW rumor roundup, we'll cover Kylie Rae's status with the company, more on the alleged backstage fight between Sadie Gibbs and Bea Priestley as well as an update on Jon Moxley's injury.

There is more to follow in the 03 September 2019 edition of the AEW Rumor Roundup.

#5 Kylie Rae released from AEW, reason unknown

One of the biggest stories gone under the radar
One of the biggest stories gone under the radar

While AEW has a women's roster that boasts the likes of Sadie Gibbs, Britt Baker, Awesome Kong, Bea Priestley, Nyla Rose and more, it's unfortunate and sad to report that Kylie Rae is no longer with AEW. She had not been seen in action since she lost her match at Double or Nothing.

Kylie Rae was supposed to compete at AEW Fyter Fest but pulled out at the last minute and was replaced by Allie at the last minute. At the time, it was noted to be a medical issue. A few weeks back, she deleted her Twitter account which led to more speculation from wrestling fans, who were concerned for her safety.

During the media scrum, Sean Ross Sapp of Fightful asked Tony Khan about her status with the company and it was revealed that she was granted her release from the company. There was no specific reason given, but Tony Khan did mention that it was amicable and that she is a nice person.

It's unfortunate that Kylie Rae quit All Elite Wrestling. It doesn't look like she will be coming back to the company any time soon. More so, it's also possible that she might be retiring from wrestling all together but fans will have to wait and see if that's the case.

#4 Backstage fight at All Out, Matt Jackson intervened

As it was earlier reported, Sadie Gibbs and Bea Priestley had a backstage altercation after their appearance in the Casino Battle Royale. It's only speculation at this point, but it's possibly due to Bea Priestley no-selling Sadie Gibb's moves. While neither woman won the Casino Battle Royale, they were rumored to have gone at it backstage.

According to Cageside Seats, Fightful also reported that Matt Jackson was "seen trying to smooth things over" between the two young UK wrestlers. While it's still unclear whether this altercation actually happened, Sadie Gibbs posted a video of her interaction with Bea Priestley during the match.

#4 The name of AEW's show on TNT will be announced within the next 2 weeks

Will it be dynamaite?
Will it be dynamaite?

According to Cageside Seats, AEW will be looking to make an announcement on the name of their upcoming TV show, which starts on TNT on October 2. During the media scrum at All Out, Tony Khan was asked about the name of the TNT show and when it was coming. He replied and said,

"You'll be hearing a lot more about that show, the name of that show, more details about, not just week 1, but some of the other weeks too, every week is going to be a big show."

#2 Wrestler strategy for AEW on TNT revealed

There is a plan!
There is a plan!

According to, PWInsider (H/T Cageside Seats) is reporting that AEW's strategy for their TV show will be to alternate wrestlers every week on and off so that they aren't appearing each week. This would make sense that not everyone on the AEW roster would be able to appear on the TV show every week.

During the media scrum at AEW All Out, Tony Khan was asked about wrestlers having an off-season like other sports do. Tony Khan said that he's very respectful of the health of the wrestlers and that people are not going to see the same wrestlers every week. He elaborated further and said,

"There will be wrestling from us every week on Wednesdays on TNT. It's going to be live, as much as I can possibly do it. And..I want people to have that..And it doesn't have to be same wrestlers every week. And it's not going to be the same wrestlers every week, which is why we're advertising different stuff for different weeks."

It certainly sounds like AEW has a long-term plan for their wrestlers to avoid burnout as well as injury.

#1 Jon Moxley's injury update

When will Jon Moxley return?
When will Jon Moxley return?

One of the biggest names in wrestling had to pull out of his match with Kenny Omega due to a staph infection he suffered a couple of weeks before the match at All Out. He was replaced by PAC, who went on to beat Kenny Omega and making his debut in the company with a significant win.

According to Wrestling Observer Radio (H/T Cageside Seats) is reporting that Jon Moxley may now have to get surgery on his infected elbow. It's unclear as to how that will affect his return to AEW. He should be ready in time for the TNT show, but it's still up in the air at the time. All Elite Wrestling has also not announced whether Moxley will be cancelling his appearences for the TNT tapings.

Staph infections vary from person to person. So, it's unknown whether Moxley will return for the TV live shows. But in a way, this gives time for AEW to make his return feel huge in a way and to get people to tune in to watch the show.
