While some wrestling fans may or may not be following the Lana, Rusev and Bobby Lashley, there is certainly one AEW Wrestler who was paying attention. Joey Janela, who has been known as the "Bad Boy" on the professional wrestling circuit since 2014, has trademarked the nickname, as per Fightful.

On a recent episode of WWE RAW as well as Starrcade, Lana and Lashley were referring to Rusev as a "Bad Boy." Janela seemed to be aware of the usage on WWE TV and was quick to take action by filing a trademark for the nickname that made him a star on the independent wrestling circuit.

Janela confirmed the news on Twitter and even tagged Rusev to apologize. He said,

"You gotta do what, you gotta do.Sorry @RusevBUL"

To be fair to Janela, it was a very smart move and a necessisty. The last thing that AEW needs is that one of their wrestler's nicknames being used on another show. While it was doubtful that would actually happen, better to be safe and sorry.

Janela recently main-evented AEW Dynamite where he lost to Jon Moxley. In the weeks to come, it's most likely that he will rekindle his feud with Shawn Spears.
