Who are these 6 WWE Superstars who have signed with AEW (so far)?

In recent years, WWE has lost some of its major stars due to their poor booking or lack of plans for them.

Now, from all the Superstars who have walked out of WWE, some of them have decided to continue their wrestling career elsewhere such as Impact Wrestling, NJPW, and the newly-found promotion All Elite Wrestling (AEW).

Now, as you already know, AEW is a newly-found promotion that came into existence earlier this year which, by the way, is considered to be the first company in nearly two decades that is capable of competing against WWE with a major financial backing provided by Shahid Khan.

Besides, as AEW is on its long way to becoming such a big promotion, a few former-WWE Superstars have signed with AEW so far.

That said, let's take a look at those six former WWE Superstars who are now a part of All Elite Wrestling or AEW.

#6 Neville (PAC)

In 2017, PAC or better known as Neville asked for his release from WWE after working five years straight for it.

Neville, now known as PAC, was thriving in WWE back in 2017 as the WWE Cruiserweight Champion.

Destroying every single Superstar who was thrown in his path, Neville's reign seemed to be invincible up until the moment he got involved in a feud with Enzo Amore and was asked to drop the title off to him, which the Champion clearly despised.

However, as it was the officials' decision, therefore, Neville had no choice but to drop the title off to Enzo Amore.

Anyway, soon after dropping the Championship, Neville asked for his release from WWE, although it took a few months for the same to happen.

A few months after walking out of WWE, Neville signed a special contract with AEW, which allows him to perform for both promotions - AEW and Dragon Gate.

Tye Dillinger (or now known as Shawn Spear) had such a great run on WWE's NXT that it almost guaranteed him to turn into a big Superstar someday in WWE.

However, following his call-up on the main roster, Dillinger spent most of the time sitting on the sidelines due to a lack of plans for him.

Realizing WWE wasn't using him to his full potential, earlier this year, Dillinger decided to ask for his release from WWE, which the company granted.

Following his departure from WWE, Kenny Omega worked for several promotions including NJPW where he achieved the most amount of success in his career.

Nevertheless, earlier this year, Kenny Omega signed a four-year contract with AEW to serve as both an in-ring talent and an Executive Vice President for the promotion.

A few months after walking out of WWE, Ambrose made a surprise appearance following the main event of AEW's Double or Nothing PPV and attacked both, Kenny Omega and Chris Jericho.

Shortly after the PPV, it was reported that Ambrose has signed a contract with AEW as a full-time Superstar and also there's a special opt-out clause attached to it, which says Ambrose can leave AEW after a year if he prefers to do so.

Juggling only in the lower and mid-card of WWE, the career of Cody Rhodes was going nowhere. Due to this, in 2016, Cody decided to end his a decade long run with WWE as he requested his release from the company.

After departing from WWE, Cody performed for many different promotions such as TNA, NJPW, ROH before pledging his allegiance to AEW.

At the start of this year, Cody signed a contract with AEW to serve the company as both an Executive Vice-President and on-air talent.

Chris Jericho is one of the greatest wrestlers WWE has ever seen. Working with WWE over these years, Jericho has done every single thing asked by the company and has achieved feats that one can only dream of.

From winning every world Title to main event pay-per-views, Jericho has done it all.

However, this wasn't enough for Jericho as just two years ago, he decided to part ways with WWE after working with the company for almost two decades.

Following his departure from WWE, Chris Jericho worked as a free agent for some time, appearing at different independent promotions, before making a surprise appearance at a media event organized by AEW where he announced his loyalty to the company and signed a three-year contract shortly after it.
