Braun Strowman is part of the WWE Championship picture once again. After a spectacular victory over Shane McMahon at WrestleMania and over Drew McIntyre on RAW last week, he's back in the title hunt.

He will go up against the man who holds the WWE Championship ever so proudly at WrestleMania Backlash, ie. Bobby Lashley, as well as Drew McIntyre. Braun Strowman has the opportunity of a lifetime at WrestleMania Backlash.

Here are five reasons why Braun Strowman was added to the WWE Championship match at WrestleMania Backlash. Be sure to leave a comment and let us know your thoughts about the inclusion, as well as the reasons that have been mentioned here.

#5 Simply put, Braun Strowman has not won the WWE Championship yet!

When you look at the list of achievements that Braun Strowman has accrued through the course of his career, they are certainly impressive. He is a former Universal Champion, a former RAW Tag Team Champion, a former Intercontinental Champion, the 2018 Money in the Bank winner, and the winner of the Andre the Giant Memorial Battle Royal in 2019 as well!

And yet, the WWE Championship, the top prize in the business, is missing from the list.

Whether or not he wins the big prize at WrestleMania Backlash, the fact of the matter is that Braun Strowman could make a big deal of never winning the WWE Championship in the build to the match.

Braun Strowman is here to stay and it is clear that he will win the WWE Championship at some point down the line. This could be his first of many attempts to take the title away from Bobby Lashley. Do you guys think it's time for Braun Strowman to reign supreme as the face of the red brand?

#4 To save us from a repeat of the WWE Championship match at WrestleMania

Why has Braun Strowman been added to the WWE Championship match, you ask? Well, the simple answer is because we have seen Drew McIntyre vs. Bobby Lashley already, on the Grandest Stage of Them All.

Yes, if Drew McIntyre battled Bobby Lashley again, the result would have been outstanding and the match would have been off the charts! That said, why repeat something we have already seen? Adding Braun Strowman into the title picture gives it a whole new twist, a fresh and unique coat of paint.

Bobby Lashley and Drew McIntyre are clearly the John Cena and Randy Orton of the new era (even though Randy Orton himself is a part of the era!), and the RAW product will indeed revolve around them. They will engage in many fights down the line and the last thing WWE needs to do is make the audience sick of watching them take each other on.

Who do you think walks out with the WWE Championship when these three colossi clash?

#3 To keep Braun Strowman from sliding down the ranks

Even though Braun Strowman is one of the most protected stars on the RAW roster owing to his size and strength, he hasn't always been booked to perfection. Remember how he teamed up with a 10-year-old boy at WrestleMania on one occasion and then entered into a feud with two Saturday Night Live hosts on another?

Vince McMahon realizes what a goldmine he has in Braun Strowman and what's necessary for him to retain his momentum after his victory over Shane McMahon at WrestleMania is consistency. Braun Strowman needs to be at the very top of the card, slugging it out with the best in the business, not wasting his time in the mid-card.

Sure, Braun Strowman vs. John Morrison or The Miz would be very interesting and entertaining because of the performers involved, but it would be a step back for the big man. Keeping him in the title picture establishes him as a top-tier talent, someone at par with Drew McIntyre and Bobby Lashley.

#2 Braun Strowman actually sizes up with his opponents

In an era of not-so-big sports entertainers, Braun Strowman stands head and shoulders above every one of his opponents. One of the last big men in the wrestling business, Braun Strowman carries the tradition of legends that came before him like The Big Show and Kane. And for a man of his size, he certainly is very nimble and agile.

Two other men who defy gravity and the laws of physics with the way they move in the ring are Drew McIntyre and Bobby Lashley. Braun Strowman not only sizes up with them, but he towers over them. In a clash between the three, it's impossible to pick the winner because of how protected all three men have been thus far.

WWE talks about an unstoppable force against an immovable object when it comes to most clashes, but what happens when you throw in a third invincible force of nature into the mix? We find out the answer when three big bulls clash at WrestleMania Backlash.

#1 A possible twist with Braun Strowman and RETRIBUTION?

MVP has made it clear that he is not pulling Mace and T-Bar's strings and while he's no beacon of truth, let's believe him just for a moment. Why then did Mace and T-Bar help Braun Strowman earn a shot for the WWE Championship on last week's episode of RAW?

Could Braun Strowman be the leader of RETRIBUTION, pulling all the strings backstage, making T-Bar and Mace obey his orders and do his bidding? If so, it would be a massive twist and it would make the following months on RAW very interesting indeed.

It would be a major departure from anything Braun Strowman has done until this point and could help him in adding a new dimension to his personality. Why be portrayed as a brain-dead brute when Strowman can do so much more?!
