Charlotte and Andrade are two of WWE's biggest stars at present and could easily be the power couple of 2020 on the main roster. The duo celebrated the new year by announcing their engagement, just over a year after they first started dating, but even though Charlotte and Andrade have been very public about their relationship over the past few months, there are many fans who were not even aware that the two stars were in a real-life relationship.

On-screen Andrade works with Zelina Vega, who is married to Aleister Black off-screen, while Charlotte hasn't been aligned with any male stars on-screen throughout her career (other than her father Ric Flair). Flair and Almas' relationship isn't clear as part of current storylines and regular WWE viewers probably don't recognize the couple as anything more than just co-workers.

The fact that Charlotte and Andrade started their relationship by being somewhat private means that there are several facts that the WWE Universe may have missed. Here are just five facts that every fan needs to know.

#5. The couple has an interesting working agreement

Both Charlotte and Andrade are currently part of Monday Night RAW, which means that they are able to travel together and work together on a regular basis. Given the fact that Charlotte is a 10-time champion and Andrade is the current United States Champion, the couple definitely has a lot of experience in the business that they can share with each other.

Interestingly, it was recently revealed that Charlotte is currently helping Andrade with his character development while Andrade has been helping 'The Queen' with her in-ring work.

Andrade told Super Luchas Magazine that the duo have a mutually beneficial relationship.

"As we live in Orlando we train at the Performance Center. She helps me a lot, gives me advice on how to handle the cameras, the promos. She knows a lot about all that. And I have taught her what I learned in Mexico and Japan. Moves, holds, how to get hit, how to hit, how to show more personality, many things she likes. She gives me advice, I give her advice. We are always helping each other, and that benefits us a lot in our current relationship," he said via Mandatory.

#4. Andrade was initially nervous about meeting Ric Flair

Charlotte is the daughter of two-time WWE Hall of Famer and 16-time World Champion Ric Flair, so it comes as no surprise that as a wrestler himself, Andrade was initially nervous about meeting such a legend in the business.

Andrade spoke to Digital Spy ahead of SmackDown's move over to FOX back in October and revealed that when he first met the father of his fiancee, he was very nervous.

"When we first met I was seriously so nervous – so, so nervous, Now I'm so happy. I love Ric Flair. He's a great person with me, he talks, texts me, sometimes we have dinner. He's great with me now."

Andrade is the current United States Champion on Monday Night RAW, but dating the daughter of a legend in the ring must come in handy for Andrade since he can now text and talk to Flair and unlock the knowledge that 'The Nature Boy' knows about the business.

The former World Champion has accomplished so much in the wrestling world that he is considered to be a hive of knowledge and if Andrade is able to use that in his career then he will definitely head to the top in WWE.

#3. Charlotte didn't want to be split from her boyfriend on WWE TV

The most recent WWE Draft seems to have been the company's most successful, since the Wild Card Rule is now a thing of the past and with the exception of Sami Zayn, Superstars have remained on their parent rosters, resulting in a lot less confusion.

The Superstar Shake-up that took place earlier this year following WrestleMania 35 saw Andrade moved to Monday Night RAW, while Charlotte Flair remained on SmackDown Live. This was a short-lived move since Zelina Vega wanted to remain with her husband Aleister Black and Charlotte reportedly wasn't happy about the fact that the company had split her from her new boyfriend.

Pro Wrestling Sheet and now WWE Backstage's Ryan Satin reported that Andrade and Zelina Vega would be moving back over to SmackDown despite initially moving to RAW, since WWE didn't want to split up any of their couples.

Of course, this move was short-lived anyway since the WWE Draft took place following SmackDown's move over to FOX and now all four stars ply their trade over on Monday Night RAW instead.

#2. This is the third time Charlotte has been engaged

This may be the first relationship that Charlotte Flair has been part of with a current WWE Superstar, but it's safe to say that this isn't the first time that 'The Queen' has celebrated an engagement.

The daughter of WWE Hall of Famer Ric Flair is seemingly following in her father's footsteps in more ways than one since she has already been married on two occasions. Flair himself has been married and divorced five times throughout his career and now his daughter is looking to be heading down the aisle for the third time.

Back in 2010, Charlotte married her first husband Riki Johnson, but the couple's marriage ended in divorce back in 2013. Charlotte then moved on to a relationship with Thomas Latimer who is better known by his ring name Bram. The couple were married from 2013 until October 2015 when the relationship once again ended in divorce.

Andrade and Charlotte made their relationship public back in February 2019, but it was clear that the couple had been dating for a number of months in private.

#1. Charlotte and Andrade couldn't understand each other when they first met

Charlotte Flair was born and raised in North Carolina, while Andrade has roots in Mexico, and made it clear when he first came to WWE through their NXT brand that Spanish was his main language. This means that when Charlotte and the current United States Champion started dating more than a year ago, there was a slight language barrier.

Now that the couple is engaged, they can make light of the fact that they couldn't understand each other when they first met. 'The Queen' recently updated her Instagram account to share the fact that she and Andrade were forced to use Google Translate to get them through last year's New Years Eve meal.

Of course, more than a year has gone by since 'The Queen' and the former NXT Champion celebrated their first New Year's Eve together back in 2019, but this year they were definitely able to understand each other since Andrade asked Charlotte to marry him and she shared the fact that she said yes (or si) on social media only a few hours later.
