With each passing event, WWE tries its best to deliver as many good matches as possible to keep their ratings high and keep the fans interested in their product. One of the main things the company focuses on during each event is to ensure that they build as many superstars and characters during each segment and match as possible. This gives the fans something to look forward to.

Similarly, with ten championship matches on the card, WWE managed to give a few superstars some quality spots and results in order to build them and their careers further while increasing the fans’ interest in them.

In this article, we will look at 5 Superstars who benefited the most from Clash of Champions and could head to even better storylines in the coming days.

#1. Bayley

Bayley is no ordinary superstar, as she has managed to garner quite a huge following and also become an inspiration to the kids in the audience.

At Money in the Bank, Bayley pinned Charlotte after cashing in her briefcase, handing WWE’s premier female wrestler the shortest title reign of her career. Even though Bayley has been doing well to defend her title, she has been eclipsed by storylines involving Becky Lynch, Charlotte Flair, and Sasha Banks. This hasn’t really given her the spotlight she deserves, nor has it allowed her to become the most talked about female superstar in the company.

At Clash of Champions, after a change in character, Bayley once again came face to face with Charlotte. To continue her reign as champion and establish herself as a heel, she did well to pick up a big victory by pulling Charlotte into the turnbuckles and pinning her immediately.

Even though the match wasn’t much to talk about, it was Bayley’s strategy and heelish tactics which were the highlight of the bout. It also allowed fans to talk about The Hugger's new side much more than they did when she initially turned heel and gave them a fresh look at her character.

#2-3. Dolph Ziggler & Robert Roode

Last year, Dolph Ziggler shook up the RAW locker room by introducing the new and improved Drew McIntyre to the WWE Universe. The two managed to do some great work together and in September of that same year won the RAW Tag Team Championships.

After the title changed hands a couple of more times, it landed in the hands of Bobby Roode and Chad Gable, after they defeated the Authors of Pain in December 2018.

Since 2019, both Ziggler and Roode have been active as singles competitors, and while Ziggler has managed to get an opportunity to challenge for the WWE Championship, Roode has had a change in character with little success.

Clash of Champions proved to be the perfect pay-per-view for the two men who managed to defeat the team of Seth Rollins and Braun Strowman for the RAW Tag Team Titles and finally win some gold this year.

It could prove to be a major turning point in their career, as they are well suited to have a long championship reign as the heel champions of RAW before The Usos make a comeback.

#4 Luke Harper

Luke Harper, along with Erick Rowan, managed to forge a rather dominating tag team together last year. They arrived as the Bludgeon Brothers and won the SmackDown Tag Team Championships. After a 135-day reign which ended on the SmackDown after SummerSlam, the two men were sidelined by injuries. Harper underwent surgery on his wrist during the time.

While Rowan managed to return to our screens and aligned with Daniel Bryan, Harper stayed off them and reports suggested that Vince wasn’t too happy with his work. After a few one-off appearances this year, on April 16, Harper requested his release from WWE, as he had yet to appear on weekly television. His request was denied by Vince McMahon and WWE.

Even though it seemed like WWE would keep Harper on the sidelines and soon write him out of the company's storylines, it was a pleasant surprise to see him return and help his former teammate pick up the victory over Roman Reigns.

Whether this marks the return of the Bludgeon Brothers, or whether Harper will be Rowan’s new henchman remains to be seen, but Harper surely made a few headlines with his return at Clash of Champions.

#5 “The Fiend” Bray Wyatt

Bray Wyatt remained off television for an extended period after his then partner Matt Hardy decided to take time off to heal some injuries. Even though Wyatt was healthy and waiting to return to action, WWE decided to keep him off television for a long time.

His patience bore fruit as he returned to television in April this year. The Firefly Fun House made its debut and Wyatt’s puppets continued to appear on RAW and SmackDown for the weeks that followed.

On the July 15 episode of RAW, Wyatt returned as The Fiend and performed a Sister Abigail on Finn Bálor. The two faced each other at SummerSlam and Balor was written off television after The Fiend defeated him by applying The Mandible Claw.

Apart from that, The Fiend has made several cameos throughout and attacked many legendary superstars such as Kurt Angle and Mick Foley.

After the main event at Clash of Champions, The Fiend appeared out of nowhere and attacked the reigning Universal Champion Seth Rollins, likely confirming a rumored battle at Hell in a Cell.

This was arguably the biggest moment of The Fiend’s existence, as not only did he manage to attack WWE’s current top superstar, but also steal the spotlight at an event that hosted ten championship matches.
