What would make for a dream WrestleMania 35 Match Card?

WrestleMania is considered as the biggest professional wrestling event in the world., organized annually around the month of March and April. So far WWE have produced 34 WrestleMania events in total and the next years edition will be held at the MetLife Stadium in New Jersey on April 7. There are so many matches which can be considered as dream matches but only few make the cut to the grandest stage of all.

Looking at the current main roster, one would expect several match of the year worthy matches. One should not forget this also includes possible returns from the legends or the injured superstars. This list might not include many superstars but this is just a list which suggests possible dream matches. Like I said before, there are several feuds, both ongoing and potential that can steal the show, when properly booked.

WrestleMania 35 might very well witness a main event which does not feature Roman Reigns for the first time in 5 years. If the rumors are true, Vince is very keen on a Women's match headlining WrestleMania (possibly involving Rousey).

Next Year's WrestleMania definitely has the potential to become one of the best WrestleMania events of all time, if not the best. WWE should definitely hold onto this opportunity to make the show of shows, a grand success.

Possible returns from the legendary Superstars have been excluded from the list (which deserves a list of its own). Matches from NXT and 205 live, also deserves a spot on the WrestleMania card but as of now they have not been placed in this list.

So, here are some of the dream matches one could expect at WrestleMania 35 on April 7, 2019.

Curt Hawkins winning against a major Superstar

He deserves to win at the grandest stage of all.

Ever since he returned, he has been on a losing spree making his streak 0-219 till date. He holds the record for the most no. of consecutive losses till date in the history of the company. Contrary to his losing streak, his promos are decent along with his safe wrestling skills.

Imagine the crowd reaction when he gets his first win being a baby face against a bigger superstar with the likes of John Cena or challenging for the Cruiserweight championship and winning it eventually. Imagine a situation where Buddy Murphy issues an open challenge for the Cruiserweight title and much to the surprise of the audience, Curt answers the challenge. No one would expect him to win, only to prove everybody wrong at last. He can be portrayed as the ultimate babyface champion.

This would also help to garner necessary and much needed attention to the Cruiserweight division.

Authors of Pain vs The Revival for the Raw Tag Team championships

The Revivals were one of the hottest tag team acts of NXT. The same cannot be said for them since their main roster debut. Both the teams comprise of technically gifted wrestlers who can tear the roof down once given the chance to brawl each other at the grandest stage of all. WWE must capitalize on this very opportunity of rebuilding the Revival again before they challenge the AOP for the titles.

It can be a Tag team Tornado match or a No Disqualification match which definitely suits these two teams a lot. One might expect, The Revival to come out on top and issuing an open challenge on the following night on Raw, only to be answered by a team from NXT. WWE should make no mistake in booking this match and should provide ample time for this two teams to shine and contribute in making the night a memorable one.

Fatal five way tag team ladders match for the SmackDown live Tag team titles

Each one of them deserves a shot at the gold.

Imagine a best case scenario where WWE has booked a Fatal five way ladders match between The Usos, The New Day, The Bar, The Sanity and The Good brothers - Gallows and Anderson for the SmackDown Live tag team titles. This looks like a mess on the paper but imagine the amount of mess that these teams can create both in and outside the ring.

This would keep the audience engaged before WWE decides to move on to the singles title events. 2018 has been a tough year for the tag teams and WWE can rectify the mistake by giving all these teams to shine on the biggest stage

This match brings both unpredictability as well as an opportunity for all the deserving teams on the brand to showcase their talent and provide the WWE universe a fun fest to enjoy.

AJ Styles vs Shawn Michaels

Perhaps the most anticipated match for the past 2 years. Ever since, Shawn Michaels decided to come out of retirement to face the Brothers of Destruction alongside Triple H who is now out with an injury to the knees, people have expected these two to lock horns inside the squared ring and what better than WrestleMania 35.

Both AJ and Michaels are gifted wrestlers. Though Michaels may not be in his primal form and age may not be on his side but he still can work a good decent match with anybody. Imagine a match with the phenomenal one who can have a good match with worst of the performers on any day of the year. A match of such magnitude can only be held at the grandest stage of all where Michaels can finally bid good bye to the WWE Universe for good.

Intercontinental championship match between the former Shield brothers

Their rivalry deserves the biggest stage.

Finally, Dean Ambrose has turn heel which was long overdue after a prolonged baby face run. His attack post their Raw tag team titles win seemed shocking yet inevitable. Both Seth Rollins and Dean Ambrose are currently embroiled in an heated rivalry which must see its conclusion at WrestleMania 35 and whats better than them having a fight for the Intercontinental championship.

Their ON and OFF relationship as members of The Shield have garnered much needed attention and certainly guarantees a super showdown at the MetLife Stadium in front of a huge crowd. They definitely do not need the Intercontinental championship as a reason to fight but the inclusion of the title only raises the stakes of the match. The Lunacy of the Lunatic Fringe against the Perfection of the Architect might exceed the expectations and provide us with something unforgettable.

Nakamura vs Samoa Joe for the US title championship

They can give us a classic fight if given the chance.

Both Nakamura and Samoa Joe are no strangers to each other. They have fought each other repeatedly over the NXT championship and are the only two times NXT champion. Both of their main roster run so far has been somewhat dismal. While Nakamura's run with the US title has become a bit gloomy and pointless at the time, a feud with the destroyer would not only elevate the status of the title back but would also help Samoa Joe to win his first title at the biggest show of all.

Interestingly, it seems unlikely that both the Superstars would meet each other being heel, therefore its plausible enough to turn Nakamura face going against a heel Samoa Joe. It's always going to be a fun affair to watch these two square off at a stage like WrestleMania.

The Man vs The Baddest woman on the planet

If women were to headline WrestleMania, this is the match. The match of such magnitude is definitely worthy of the main event status.

If WWE eventually decides to pull of this match at WrestleMania, they can even make Becky participate in the Women's Royal Rumble while holding the SmackDown women's title and can eventually go on to win it making it a double championship match possibly at the main event.

This two ladies have worked hard to reach the top of the mountain in their own separate ways. Both of them might not have the same story but the fire needed to make it a main event match is incomparable. While Becky's jump to the top has been a joy to watch, Rousey's improvement in terms of both in ring and promo skills has been commendable. She has been portrayed as a man possessed inside the ring whereas Becky is being shown off as a real badass.

Kevin Owens and Sami Zayn as the hosts for the night

Though this is not technically a match but this definitely makes sense in case Zayn and Owens are not able to make it on time from their untimely injury. A WrestleMania without this heel duo will always be little less spicy. On the night of WrestleMania, they can come out and introduce themselves to the audience as their hosts for the night much to their surprise.

Adding to the surprise, an eventual confrontation with the returning Wyatt family would be awesome for both the teams. Recently, Bray Wyatt returned for a match at WWE Starrcade and is expected to lead another faction. A possible reunion of the Wyatt family on the biggets stage of all would make things very interesting.

As of now, we wish both KO and Sami, a speedy recovery and really hope they make it to the WrestleMania.

Triple-threat way for the Universal championship

A possible match of the year candidate if booked properly.

Drew McIntyre is considered as the next big thing in WWE with considerable support from Vince. Roman Reigns has been the poster boy ever since he decided to go on a solo run while Braun Strowman has played his part as an unstoppable beast for quite some time now. The crowd has cheered him even when he is destroying some of the fan favorites. The only things that has blocked his path to the top of the mountain is the Beast Incarnate, Brock Lesnar.

Brock Lesnar is always the major attraction for the live audience but his part- time schedule has done more damage to the title than it has done good. Pitting all of them together in a single match not only raises the stock of the championship but also increases the unpredictability of the outcome. While Roman is out post his Leukemia Diagnosis, his absence can be filled in by these three Superstars.

The heel Bryan vs the face Miz

This might be the most anticipated match of the night as their rivalry seems to be far from over. Last time they met, a heel Miz came out on top over a baby face Bryan. But now since the tables have turned, this definitely makes a must watch match on the card which might as well exceed all the expectations if given proper booking, probably a No Holds barred match.

A baby face Miz might come on top again giving him his second consecutive win against the founder of the Yes movement. He can then address his win in the following episode of SmackDown Live turning into a cocky heel, again.

Both Miz and Bryan are tremendous performers in their own ways and WWE did an excellent job in building this story. Now, they must grab onto the opportunity to make things even bigger from here.
