Many more superstars deserve to get inducted into the WWE Hall of Fame

The 2022 WWE Hall of Fame ceremony is right around the corner, with WrestleMania season picking up steam. The Undertaker was announced as the headliner for this year's class last week.

Teams and factions have been a part of WWE for as long as we can remember. These factions and stables play key roles in storylines and shape narratives and careers. Putting multiple wrestlers together to achieve a common goal has been the premise, but how they take it from there is what it’s all about.

Some factions have shaped careers and changed the business. They have acquired legendary status and have been rightfully inducted into the WWE Hall of Fame. From the Four Horsemen and nWo to D-Generation X, these legendary teams have been a regular feature in WWE's Hall of Fame ceremonies.

However, some elite factions are yet to get inducted into the WWE Hall of Fame. While they most certainly will be at some point, it is a little surprising that it hasn’t happened yet. Given their pedigree and reputation, they should be firm favorites to be inducted sooner than later.

Here are five WWE factions that should be in the WWE Hall of Fame without a second’s thought.

#5 Induction for The Nation of Domination

The Nation of Domination was a key part of WWE (then WWF) from 1996 to 1998. They were a group of heels who came together under the leadership of Faarooq. Prominent members included The Rock, Owen Hart, D’Lo Brown and The Godfather.

While they were together, they captured championships and the hearts of the WWE Universe. They were also key to The Rock establishing a connection with the fans and becoming the People’s Champion. They are one of the most underrated factions in WWE history and deserve to be recognized for their efforts.

Inducting the Nation of Domination into the WWE Hall of Fame would be a fitting reward for the hard work of everyone involved with the stable.

#4 Ministry of Darkness must see the light

The Ministry of Darkness was a heel stable led by The Undertaker. They were a key part of the Attitude Era and were involved in multiple storylines going on at the time.

The Ministry was instrumental in lending the Attitude Era some magical and mystical elements. At a time when literally anything out of the writers’ imagination was taking place on screen, the Ministry helped make it more chaotic and subsequently memorable.

Bradshaw, Faarooq, the Brood, Viscera, Big Show, Viscera, and of course the Undertaker are all legendary superstars. However, they also deserve to be inducted into the WWE Hall of Fame as a unit.

#3 The Shield cement their legacy in the Hall of Fame

Survivor Series 2012 and the debut of the Shield was a monumental moment in WWE history. Three unknown athletes from NXT stormed the company and changed everything forever.

Roman Reigns, Seth Rollins, and Dean Ambrose (now Jon Moxley) came, saw, and conquered. The faction held gold on multiple occasions and stood tall on every opponent they faced. No one could walk from a fight with The Hounds of Justice without at least a heavy scar.

Given how often Michael Cole used to call them “the greatest faction in WWE history”, it only makes sense to induct The Shield into the WWE Hall of Fame. Even though Moxley left WWE on bad terms, we hope there is no time for wounds that cannot heal, and they return one last time for one last gathering of fists.

#2 A New Day arrives for induction into the Hall of Fame

If The Shield is challenging to navigate, The New Day definitely isn’t.

Kofi Kingston, Xavier Woods, and Big E are a history-making tag team/faction. Together as The New Day, they are the longest-reigning Tag Team Champions in WWE history and have also won a significant number of said tag team titles.

The New Day have thrown pancakes into the crowd and won the hearts of every single WWE fan. Inducting them into the WWE Hall of Fame is a no-brainer, not least because they helped redefine tag team wrestling in Vince McMahon’s company. When that happens, we won’t dare be sour.

#1 WWE Hall of Fame undergoing an Evolution

Sometimes, people with the same objective ally to form an unstoppable alliance. That was the case when Triple H, Ric Flair, Batista and Randy Orton came together to form Evolution.

Evolution ran roughshod over the roster and stopped at nothing to become the best. Each man benefited from being with the group and elevated their game to the next level. They left their mark on the industry and helped set the benchmark for future supergroups.

Evolution is a shoo-in for the WWE Hall of Fame at some point. The four members are already legendary superstars, but they deserve a separate induction for their Evolution escapades.
