Kane reveals whether he has quietly retired from WWE or not

It's been a while since we've seen Kane on WWE television. He doesn't appear to be an active wrestler anymore as he's busy being the Mayor of Knox County, Tennessee. The last time he appeared on RAW, it was as the Mayor winning the 24/7 Championship from R-Truth.

The Kane character had to wind down inevitably and the last time we saw him wrestle in a proper feud was last year at WWE Crown Jewel. Before that, he even had a brief reunion with Daniel Bryan as a part of Team Hell No to take on The Bludgeon Brothers.

Either way, Kane was asked by Brian Fritz of Sporting News whether he was retired or not and The Big Red Monster left the door open, saying:

“I think, with WWE, I don’t know if you ever really retire from it all the way, especially folks that are lucky enough to get in the position that I’m in,” said Jacobs. “You can always do stuff and they can find creative ways to use you. That’s one of the things I really look forward to. When people ask me if I’m looking forward to getting back in the ring, I’m like, ‘eh, I don’t know what I’d be doing, but I’m sure at some point I’ll do something.'”

From the look of things, it has more to do with Kane finding something creatively satisfying enough to return. He doesn't seem to have an overwhelming desire to return, but it wouldn't be surprising to see him make a few more nostalgic appearances over the next few years.

However, it's clear that his era of dominance is long gone, but he'll always have the door open to make brief returns that will benefit other WWE Superstars. Kane has always been selfless that way.
