WWE had been in Montreal last night, the hometown of one Kevin Owens. In an interview with Slam Wrestling to promote the show, Kevin Owens spoke on a number of things about both his personal life and WWE career.

The full interview can be found here. Below are some highlights:

How supportive has his wife been of his career?

Owens credits his wife as much as anybody for his career being what it is so far. He has two young kids, and so his wife stays in Montreal while he is pursuing his career in the States. The reason for it being that Owens wants his kids to be around family so that they know their grandparents, all the while getting help for his wife when she needs it.

“When I’m gone five days a week on the road, my wife needs some help, she can’t be in Florida alone with two young kids. The success I have in the WWE is due to my wife as much as anybody else, because without her, I wouldn’t be here today.” confesses Owens.

What part of his time in the WWE is yet to sink in?

Owens mentions how he is still amazed at the opportunity he has had, being in the WWE. While the schedule is grinding and sometimes things move too fast to stop and think about stuff, he says he still hasn’t lost the spark.

“Last week, before Raw, I was sitting with Big Show and Steve Austin and we were just talking. I wasn’t just a fan listening to what the wrestlers had to say, I was part of the gang. We were talking about the business and it was just a treat for me because they were two guys I grew up watching on TV.”

Was the Cena feud negative for him?

Owens dismisses the thought of the Cena feud being a negative, calling it delusional. “When you worked with him on Raw and on PPV, how this can be bad?” asks Owens. he is of the opinion that despite what people may make of him losing 2 out of 3 matches in the feud, at the end of the day it is the quality of the matches that people will remember about when they look back.
